I shipped them so hard all through out the series. It hurts. I really thought they were gonna end up together. When I first started watching friends, I immediately tried to see which pair has the best chemistry and tried to assume what the writers are planning to be with them. I rooted for Phoebe and Joey from the start even though the writers looked like they were originally planning for joeyxmonica. Then, i had to go through all that joey inlove with rachel, pain pain pain.

The director says that the reason Phoebe and Joey didn't end up together was because then the show would have been too fit, but really the reason I think that they didn't end up together was because the people making the show could have easily turned these two's relationship into something dark and emotional and that would have taken from the comedy of the show.
Probably they are example of definition love doesn't truly mean together. When you had that, and time passed on. You just wanna believe in another life you'll meet again

Sanchayita Das phoebe ends up with mike. How that happened was Joey and phoebe set each other up on blind dates and Joey got mike for phoebe. Phoebe and mike dated, broke up, got back together and then eventually got married. Joey never found anybody

You don’t need to be romantically involved with somebody for this person be your soulmate. Very often, your best friend could be your true soulmate. Joey and Phoebe are the living proof of that. They were true friends, and had the best chemistry in the show (to me)...even if not romantically. I love those kinds of genuine friendships, I feel like it was just all too special for them to get romantically together. It was really precious and unique, so I am actually happy that Phoebe ended up with Mike.
