- My very first travel vlog and the first video in my new series - A Britt Abroad!
For our first wedding anniversary, we decided to head back to the beautiful resort of Sandals Royal Barbados where we became husband and wife.
Tim and I absolutely love it there. We had a lot of fun, did a lot of swimming (mostly in empty pools!) and enjoyed lots of tasty food and drink.
I'm counting down the days until we are back in paradise!

*September 2021 Update*
We made the decision to move the trip we booked in the video to 2022, for our fourth anniversary. We changed it for a myriad of reasons but we know Barbados will still be there waiting for us. I’m so pleased this vlog has been helpful to so many of you! I’ll be back there next year and will of course, be vlogging the trip! 💙

I have absolutely LOVED your vlog!! It's the closest I've felt to a holiday in a long time! I am supposed to be here right now but Covid had other ideas... But we are booked for next September instead, the exact week you're there I believe!!!! See you in 2021!
We just got back from our Sandals Royal Barbados trip and it was well worth the wait. (after rescheduling twice because of the Pandemic.) We had a great time. We live in Colorado and there are no direct flights for us. We flew to Boston, MA and stayed with family and celebrated my Dad's 87th Birthday. It was great to see the whole family during our stay. We saw them again after our trip as well, before we flew home.
Our Club Level Room ( # 10101) was the furthest away from everything and was very quiet. We had our own waterfall feature right outside our swim up room. We had most of our meals on the Sandals Barbados side so we walked a lot. We didn't mind, we needed to walk off some of the calories that we consumed. The food was delicious. We went to Cafe de Paris almost every evening for dessert & took them back to our room & had them with a cup of tea. The Oatmeal Raisin , Chocolate Chip and the Peanut Butter Cookies are so yummy. I took a few with me for the flight back to Boston. We want to go back again and stay for 2 weeks. One week just wasn't enough. Just started to really relax and it was time to leave. It really is a very beautiful place and we look froward to returning again to Sandals Royal Barbados and Sandals Barbados in the future. This was our third trip to a Sandals Property (Ocho & Grande St Lucian). I would like to try Sandals Grenada as well.
We will be there for the first time for our anniversary September 2021. This will be our 8th stay at a Sandals. Loved the vlog and can't wait to be there.

Seen many vlogs on Barbados but this by far the BEST one on Sandals Barbados. We went in Oct 2018 for our anniversary (not Sandals) and got a taste of a tropical storm. My husband Andy (who is a Brit) and I am (American) are going to Sandals Royal Barbados in March 2021 for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. I was wondering, we are staying in a South Seas Swim Up Club Level Ultra Suite. It appears that this is the quiet side of the resort. Is this true? (Which is what we want.) . We both loved the Walk thru of both properties and this one that highlighted what you and Tim did for your 1st Wedding Anniversary. Happy Anniversary to you both and we wish you a long Happy and Healthy life together. Love your attitude, keep smiling and sharing your travels with all of us.

First of all congratulations to your first year anniversary i loved your video swell we are booking for 22nd December 2022 it looks amazing. If you get to try anywhere else please feel free to try Secrets resorts and spa Jamaica or Breathless next door which we stayed 2 years ago we loved it but now its time to move onto another island of barbados.
Total Bummer! We should be there in Barbados right now (3/6-3/13/2021), but because of the pandemic had to reschedule for March 2022. Really looking forward to being able to travel freely again with no restrictions. I hope that you and your husband Tim will be able to go on your trip in September for your 3rd Wedding Anniversary. Safe travels and as always to all stay healthy and safe out in the big wide world.

It is a bummer that you and Tim had to change your plans to visit Barbados this month for your Anniversary. We wish you and Tim a Happy 3rd Wedding Anniversary. Since my husband Andy has a suppressed immune system due to an autoimmune disease, we will not be able to go in March 2022 either. Moved our trip to March 2023. It really is sad but it is not safe for us to travel by air at this time. Who would think when you were planning your trip in 2019 that the whole world would change in a instant. Hopefully someday soon in the future the world will get back to normal, although it may be a new normal. You and Tim, stay strong, healthy and safe both mentally and physically.
Looks like you had an amazing time. I’m meant to be going Barbados in December, staying in a hotel called ‘Coconut Court Beach Hotel’, don’t know what to expect but I’ve always wanted to go Barbados.
I hope you didn't do like they did, I hope you spent money on the island to help the economy. Sandals is a Jamaican owned company. So they went to Barbados and all their money went to Jamaica.

Hi, how was the weather in September, ive read a lot that its still hurricane season at that time of year ? thanks in advance.
It is still hurricane season but Barbados is just outside of the hurricane belt and hasn't had an island hit in a really long time. There was one stormy day in the 10 days we were there and the rest of the time was glorious! xx

I know this was posted awhile ago - but I’m watching it & getting excited for our honeymoon (that’s been 3x postponed lol) for October this year at Royal Barbados! Any tips for someone who’s never been to a sandals, or any resort like this in general? 😊 nicest place I’ve ever been is maybe florida lol

Did it rain much in September?
It rained pretty much every day but only lasting for 5-10 minutes and then it was bright beautiful sunshine.
Who did you book through? Sandals direct or an estates agent? I hope you don’t say Thomas Cook #rip

Is the curly fries & ice cream all free ?
Yes. All of the restaurants are included. ☺️
