Be careful overfilling them once those tires get hot you could have a blowout that’s why you need the tire gauge

I never seen anyone moving that never stayed together. I drove a big Uhaul for 12 hours, and my son drove my truck, while my niece and her husband followed. When we stopped to eat, we ate together...

Jacob you need a tire pressure gage. They are so cheap and easy to use.
I agree with you. Pressure gauge, flashlight, first aid kit...every car should have them.
That being said, what kind of durpy air dispenser doesn't have a gauge on the nozzle? That's the first one I have ever seen that doesn't.

The kitties needed bigger crates, the spilled food right next to their litter and nowhere to sit except for in their litter must have had them soooo stressed. Really not a good setup for them, looks traumatizing ;-; sorry not trying to hate just felt bad for the kitties they will need a long time to adjust after that experience
Stay safe and keep an eye on the kitties
You need to let air out of the tires not put more in no matter what the car says. Too much air in the tires will cause the car to Hydroplane on the ice, and cause you to have a bad wreak.

Very good advice. Cats get REALLY stressed being uprooted from their home territory, and they need lots of time to adjust.

i have left a similar comment before but i really do love seeing the food choices you are making. i am working on managing prediabetes and have had similar poor eating habits leading up to said diagnosis. i hope you keep sharing this part of your life with us.
I grew up in the snowy mountains. How come you do not wear proper winter clothing. It will keep you much dryer and warmer. Especially, not cotton.

I have a Chinese Buffet in my town. I most often get it to go and pick my own veggies with very little starchy things like noodles or rice.

Michigan ad that snow day before it hit New York. All great lakes areas got same I believe. I can handle the snow but this bone chilling weather of 28* is horrible. Started that too soon for my little body. I am only 92 pounds and 5ft 4 in..and I suffer greatly die to this freezing weather. Yes been this way my whole life ...I am 58 yrs old and even had 3 natural pregnancies and all healthy average birth weights, carried to full term...some folks are just built different than others.

I feel bad for anyone who doesnt know how to put air in a tire, and check it with a tire guage, something you should keep in your car!
Just buy a tire pressure gauge lol. They're super cheap

When I moved my cat, he hadn't ever been anywhere in his 14 years except at my house. When we moved him, he hid in a backroom for 3 weeks, only coming out at night to eat and use the litter box. So give them time to adjust.

I was told that fix a flat is only ok if you don't have any other option. It will get you back on the road but make the tire unrepairable. Thanks for making these videos. I love the content.
I got a little worried when he said that, too. I thought that if you use fix a flat it's kind of a done deal and you need to replace the tire soon.
I worked as a tire installer for a few years. Fix a flat will get you somewhere where you then have to fully dismount the tire and get it off the rim and then do a full plug and patch job. It’s quite disgusting opening a rim and all the fix a flat liquid spills everywhere but once you clean it all out and the hole isn’t on the sidewall you can still repair and re mount it on the same rim

The guys at the oil change shop should have checked the tire pressure and adjusted it for you. Every one I've been to does that. Also, huge temperature changes affect the tire pressure. Happy travels

Agree with Jenn about Franks Red Hot and wings. Also Amazon sells 12v tire inflators for cheap that automaically stop at the pressure you set.

@@Savagemister agreed. Got one for my wife and myself. What triggered it was getting low tire pressure notification as I was getting on the highway. My first thought was what if I have a slow leak and I can’t make it home. Which incidentally happened once before but I made it home safe. It’s pretty scary watching the psi drop about one psi every couple of miles on the highway.
Agree on the tire inflator, bought one a few years ago for around $50, doesn't take up much room in the trunk and has been 100% worth it, especially when the temperature drops and everyone else wants to refill their tires at the gas station too.

You should carry a tire gauge and don’t fill your tires to much seeing they can explode from to much air pressure and also the cold
For someone who travels for a living, you really should have a tire guage in your glove box to test your tire pressure...

Actually its probably way cheaper to rent that large UHAUL truck from NC ,drive it to New York & then drive it back & keep it for 5 days, then to rent it from NY to western North Carolina, it was less than $800 for the roundtrip, then the almost 2k oneway from NYC to Canton NC, did that trip twice roundtrip for less than the one way from NYC
The cats will hide n will investigate on their own until they are comfortable in their new home!!! Mine did, n she was a rescue that was not only a Senior cat at 11 yrs old, but s stray that the police found n took to the animal shelter in my town of Elyria, Ohio, n I have had her from the shelter since September 6th, 2022 till present!!! You have AWESOME cat self feeder bowls for Cami n Scarlett!! I bet they have cat towers n toys n beds n EVERYTHING, cuz I KNOW you are a fabulous cat Mom, Jen!!!! I also heard Jacob was a fabulous famous Cat Daddy, too!!! Attagirls, Cami n Scarlett!!!😻😽😸😺
My wife, kids and I are going to be doing that same trip in a little over a month. Going from the tip of PA(almost the PA/WNY border) to the bottom of NC(Almost to the NC/SC border)

Yes Pennsylvania is always underrated! I live here all my life never left as to why I should leave as friends tell me always to pick-up and move experience the world, when everything I know and Love about this state is at my fingertips. Starting over in a New town and State has to be hard especially not knowing where things are location wise. Pennsylvania in my opinion is the best state for a lot of reasons but mostly because we don't have Earthquakes or have Tornados or even have bad winters, Hurricane storms only rain touches us as the Mountains shield us from anything blowing in. Small parks and wilderness woods of pure nature is what were all about. I wouldn't change anything about my Life in Pennsylvania
How I have traveled with cats is not to put the litterbox carrier. I get a tote with a lid to use as a litterbox and when I stop I let each one out separately, not all at once, show them the litterbox then wait till they use it or have had time to use it. Always made sure they was back secure in the carriers though before I opened any doors to get out. Then I'd scoop the travel litterbox (aka plastic tote) before going in the station so I can wash the hands. That way they hopefully aren't making a mess in their carriers. Traveling with cats is definitely an adventure though. What worked for me may not work for someone else. Like I see so many people can put their cats in a harness and leash and take them outside, but one of my cats has been able to escape every harness I've tried with him. He just backs himself right out of them when I try to give him a little tug to move forward.
I'm so thankful that you guys were able to make the journey safely. Can't wait for what's to come!

18:40 congrats on the move, and I think everybody hates putting air in their tires. One of those things we do in life that we absolutely hate. I even sold my car, but I have to put air in my bike tires. Same thing.
And by the way, it’s ironic that they outlawed plastic bags. Which I love the thought of. But then all the products you just took out of the paper bag were in plastic. So the lobby is really need to start on the companies that produce all the products. Because my recycling bin fills up faster than my regular trash. I mean if you eat yogurt for example The amount of plastic waste you produce in a week is ridiculous

As an Artist, I always wanted to live in New York. Imagining the big apartments with the huge old fashioned elevators/lifts, like you see in all the films... Then I see videos like this with all the snow and you freezing your butt off, then I'm perfectly content with living in Southern California 😂😂😂

12:30 I usually stop by gas stations where there is a digital PSI display on the coin operated air machine. That one does not that you stopped at Love's Travel Center. You can set it to the PSI you want and it will beep when it is finished. If you don't like stopping by the gas station to put air in your tires, usually what I have done is stop by Valvoline or Jiffy Lube and the attendant will put air in your tires for free. You don't need to have an oil charge or other services done on the same visit if you just need air in your tires.

As a Canadian watching this trip I find it entertaining hearing Jacob say it cold & and hearing that those gas prices are high. I wish gas was that cheap up here in Canada. Filled my mid sized car two days ago and it cost me $127.00 Canadian is close to $100.00 American.

Never put air in a tire unless you do two things:check the door to see what the tires are supposed to be inflated to AND have a darn pressure gage🤦♀️
