This guy can sing, this song was overplayed in the midwest but still...every time I listen it's just as good as the first. P.S. Why does every video comment section end up in sh** talking...grow up people and don't watch the video if you don't like it...that simple.
Overbearing panic attack entrenching my veins In an hour I'll be OK I pray that this pain will go away permanently someday I've seen more than I should have to I've seen this on my own This song is a poem to myself it helps me to live In case of fire break the glass and move on into your own, your own Reoccurring drowning effect entrenching my brain I hope you'll be OK someday so I can say that you moved on in the right way We've seen this and we've breathed this and we've lived this on our own This song is a poem to myself it helps me to live In case of fire break the glass and move on into your own This song is a poem to myself it helps me to live In case of fire break the glass and move on into your own, your own This song is a poem to myself it helps me to live In case of fire break the glass and move on into your own This song is a poem to myself it helps me to live In case of fire break the glass and move on into your own, your own, your own, your own!
OMG!! Wow, I love the live version, can always tell a good singer when they sound almost exactly the same live as they do on CD. Awesome job Taproot!!!
Guys you rock. We talked with you today at rock 93.9 I'm Jackson today. You guys sounded great. The new CD rocks. Good luck with your tour and we will see you again.
...Taproot...i like this band because they didn't become mainstream...sad to some...but to me...it's a stand...to make your mark...just one time...to make your mark to this shitty world...to this band...i bow...
mistakes are fine, means they're human, not machines, and obviously not using a recording to play a live song... whoever bitches at mistakes, show your perfection for the world to see please... yeah thats what i thought... and besides, they did what any professional should do, recover & keep on playing!! awesome song, thank you for posting it!
you've not heard them live though, they play pretty hard when they play live...i saw them when they did that tour with chevelle...they were by far the best part of the show, was very intense.
I love this vid because it shows the lead singer can actually sing seeing that he didn't scream once. I actually like it better stripped down like this
but either way i love this song and it sounds good acustic or full band version...and the guy has an amazing voice..there guitarist is amazing...when he first joined the band he was a amatuer guitaris...now look at him...expert! :D
Was just about to ask what was up with his eyes but I guess that answers it. And you're correct about the X and what not, if you've done anything enough then you can function properly. Look at alcoholics. A lot of alcoholics can perform every day tasks and even work while drunk, they're just used to it.
I think what adfact meant was that in this day in age of music, you have to have some sort of physical attraction to gain the attention of fans and then the talent to back up the looks to keep the fans... and they were saying this guy has the looks to gain the attention but not the talent to back it up... At least that's what I gathered from it. I could be wrong.
@fligher1 Or the other way round since Taproot's album Welcome was released one month before Sum 41's... But in any case, you're right. Sounds kinda similar... :)
Dude's got the most recognizable voice in the industry in my opinion. amazing
It's 2024 and out of nowhere I wondered if there was an acoustic version of this song.
And here I thought I was the only one 😂
Eargasm when he goes "In case of fire,
BREAK the glass,
and move on into your own...
your own..." Taproot kicks serious ass \m/
Such a unique voice
This is one of the best unpluged songs on UTUBE!

one of the better things about acoustic songs...you can tell that "rockstars" are human
50 people would rather burn than break the glass.
Masked up insane characters..the masses are dumb enough to burn
Jesus is the only way 💯❣️🇺🇸
I like how they both smile about it!
Very talented band. They don't get the mainstream recognition they deserve.
Bring back the 90’s
He has a beutiful voice. i love this song. :)
2:58 "oh no, i've never done this without screaming, umm, I'LL WHISPER!!! genius."
I love his smile when he plays the wrong chord!! Poem is still amazing!
he has a nice voice. this was another of the MANY awesome late 90s / early 2000s alternative rock songs that got airplay then fell into obscurity.

Reoccurring drowning effect entrenching my brain
I hope you'll be OK someday so I can say that you moved on in the right way
We've seen this and we've breathed this and we've lived this on our own
This song is a poem to myself it helps me to live
In case of fire break the glass and move on into your own
This song is a poem to myself it helps me to live

@flm829 i think they don't go mainstream so they don't sell out
He cleaned it up pretty good though cuz I didn't notice.
