I appreciate the documentary style shooting video and photos of Montreal!! Well done.
This is a great travel video. The GoPro setup is an incredible idea.
Stunning video with fantastic photography work, my friend.
I just love B&W.
Antoine.
@@stevecarty I really appreciate your fast reaction, my friend. Cool channel do you have, man.
You killed it with these! Great light play. Got me missing my favourite city in Canada to visit! ❤
Glad you’re close Pete. Missing our chats terribly. And our ferry rides and hangs at the cafe
Thank you for giving us a walk through Montreal streets. I enjoyed the architecture and history. So cool.
Oh, this lens is sick! Perfect for the this job! I love the photos, especially the sky with the blue colour removed.
Ah... Montreal, such a lovely city with a really cool vibe. Love it...thank you so much for this Carty!
Funny you mention "the old vs. new buildings". I live in Berlin and this a normality here due the war. Great video. Personally I use a 24 and a 10-20 mm (at 14 mm) for Architecture photographie.
PS: I never knew if cutting the bottom streetparts is ok. Now we know. Thanks.
I’m getting some more wide glass but I’m a portrait shooter so it’s not really needed. I have a 24-70L series and I never use it. Too much glass. Too soft.
Raised in Montréal and living in Toronto. We must preserve that city.
Indeed. The mob has it going to shit though no lie. They have a stranglehold on that city.
@@stevecarty if you are talking about the actual mob then yeah. Montréal has always been openly currupted when it comes to construction. From building hospitals to restoring roads. A lot has changed since I moved but while I was growing up.. organized crime kept gang violence down. It was a fairly safe city even in the hoods. Lol don’t even get me started on the politics. But home is home you know.
Hello. Processed in post or in camera ? Video shot with R5?
Processed in post. In Lightroom. Video is with is a GoPro. Only photos shot on R5 here.
Cool
Is the 16mm good for Street? Doesn’t really answer the question
i'm not a street photographer. i shoot editorially. SteveCarty.com do you think it's good for street based on my work here? i own one, i like it for architecture, but it's obsurdly wide. But it's obscure. opinions welcome.
I loved how you gave us some of the history while you were shooting. Montreal is a beautiful city. Thanks for sharing.
Thx for watching!!
