ENG translation: In this video, the classes will be judged based on their DPM. (Damage Per Minute), I will clear this up. This tier-list does not include "Priest" nor the "Soulbinder" classes. This is also based from my own subjective opinion. For reference, this list is based on the current MapleStory 2 balance, which is 2023/5/14 while uploading this video. It will go from worst (Tier 4) to best (Tier 0). - Tier 4: Knight In the case of Knight being Tier 4, this is NOT based on Sword Knight, which is the damage tree. Shield Knight is way more stronger, I will explain. This will vary depending on your stats and counterattack up-time. Knight is a job with very high DPM potential, IF you have very high stats and skill. In terms of the top tier 3 jobs with the same stats and skill, Knight can also come very close to their damage, but usually the Knight is less than 10% of those classes thus it being a Tier 4. Even though it's in tier 4, from a different perspective, Knight is grouped with Priest and Soulbinders. To an extent, it is an essential class for parties to have in their party composition because it has extremely good party synergy and utility. It is NEVER a weak job. - Tier 3: Assassin, Wizard, Heavy Gunner, Archer In the case of Tier 3 classes, most of them are synergy damage dealers. With these tier 3 classes, you should use SP consumables. This list can vary depending on if classes use Infernog or not etc. Based on the current final raid, which is Rosa, A DEX-based job that is on 90 crit-resist instead of the usual 70 (Rook and below). Heavy Gunner and Archer might look better, however, it's virtually no difference. This is the golden balancing line. - Tier 2: Thief, Berserker Comparing the damage difference between Tier 3 and Tier 2, the gap in damage is about 15 ~ 20% damage. Comparing the difference between Berserker and Thief, there is little difference between Berserker and Thief. If I had to choose one when questioned about the strength, the Berserker would be fine as it seems to be stronger. Comparing these 2 classes while taking into account of the damage rotation, or using SP items etc, I think Berserker is better. - Tier 1: Runeblade In terms of Tier 1, Runeblade is the main damage dealer. Even if semi-using SP consumables for Dimblade, there is a 10% DPM difference when SP consumables are not used. You have to use SP items. If the boss is more mobile, it's not as easy to maintain damage. Runeblade does have its disadvantages, however comparing this to tier 2 jobs, it is about a 20% DPM difference, alongside increasing party members Critical Damage by 20%. This increases the Runeblade critical damage by 30% instead of 20%. Considering it also has good party synergy, I think it shows a great performance compared to other classes. Regarding the damage skill rotation, "You only need to use 3 buttons on this class", "Even my Grandma can do well on this class", there are famous quotes like this. It's a very easy class. Tier 0: Striker Finally Striker, which is a pure damage dealer with no synergy. While Runeblade is already considered overpowered, Striker in a direct comparison is 10% stronger. This is shown in the DPM difference, and this difference is dependant on the Runebladers performance. Even if it's a party with good synergy while considering lead skills, use of SP items etc. It is still better than Runeblade because it shows that Striker is always higher than other classes in the damage chart. This is why it's classified as Tier 0. Striker and Runeblade are clearly different compared to other classes and it's clear that these are fraudulent jobs. Why must other classes receive a disadvantage joining parties for choosing a different class? I don't get it, when will there be another balance change? I do not know personally. I recommend that you play a class which you personally a job. Thank you~
