    We had SO MUCH FUN driving to our sister's house in the truck we rented! We built her so many things for this new home, but our favorite has to be this awesome modern farmhouse table!

    I’ve been waiting for this! I made one for my mom a few weeks ago from the other plans you had, and now my sister wants one. This is the perfect amount of different so they’re not exactly the same. Awesome build!

    Love it......keep it simple ladies, inspiring lots of ladies in the uk that they can do it ! They have fear about what tools think you should get a shanty sticker on brands for beginners ... And maybe get some novices men ! to build with you the odd time .... Love your banter and humour thought you were going to do shanty car karaoke at one stage ....
    Love from uk x

    The center design on the rug looks similar to the wall stencil at the trend shop ;)

    I love this table, very classy and clean looking. Do you have any table plans with a removable leaf or drop down side boards? I have more of a small nook than an actual dining and we have 5 kids. Want a space to move around when we are not having dinner.

    I love the fast pace of your videos but the datails of constructing the furniture needs more camera time and focus more on the wood working, cutting, measuring and screwing than faces and camera-moving trying-to-be-cool shots. Im new to wood working and like to learn more of it - details but I agree on the fast pace of the videos.

      eaa slp thank you. We don’t spend a ton of time on those details because we have the free printable plans available, as well as tight shots and more details in the post on our site 😀

    Hi, thanks for the great content. 👍 How do you attach the table top to the legs? I'm graceful like a ballerina (lol), and I KNOW I'd be knocking that off the base constantly!

    Good job:). 2 questions, how much does the table weigh roughly? And did you sand and stain the wood?
    Thanks again ladies for all your plans and videos!

    I have built one of your other tables a couple of times as well as another one from a different UA-cam builder. The problem I always have is shrinkage on my 2x10 or 2x8 tops. I know that it is most likely too much moisture in the wood. I buy my wood at Home Depot but all they have is green lumber. Do I really have to buy my lumber months in advance and let it dry?

    • @rchavez5056
      @rchavez5056 6 років тому

      Yes you do. I had the same issue where the vertical boards expanded at least a 1/2" on both sides from the end table. This way is not the way to do the bread board. It looks great at first, but will eventually separate.

    I've watched dozens of table top videos. Everyone uses glue only. Never seen anyone use pocket screws! There you go.

  • @jaceopel9282

    Is the table top natural, or is there stain on it? Looks great!

  • @jamestimlin856
    @jamestimlin856 4 роки тому +1

    When assembling the base you use a 2x6 and a 1x6 and attach them with a 2 1/2" screw. That doesn't work! A 2x6 is actually only 1.5" in depth and the 1x6 is actually only 3/4 of an inch. Your 2.5" screw will show!

      Glad I wasn't the only one hahaha I switch my screws to 2"

    A table top with bread boards and POCKET SCREWS? You didn’t allow for any wood movement. The breadboard are gonna split within weeks. :/
