The “first season” did not showcase their extreme potential as comediennes. It forced stupid topics onto them, and you could tell they weren’t interested in a lot of them. This show needs to be a Rhett/Link without the crazy religious component(they are both bible bashers) and be edgier.
@@SighMN I don't know anything about the Rhett and Link thing (but im interested to know more) so i can't comment on that but yeah season 2 is more about Mamrie and Grace ernestly discussing things and I'm fine with that bcuz they are so hilarious, they can read a dictionary and make it funny. Season 1 is more about them learning and trying new things. This show just needs to be a mix of both and itd be more perfect.
Rhett and Link were in What’s in the Bible as The Bentley Brothers. The show advocated a literal interpretation of the Bible to children through puppets and singing. Teaching the Bible is one thing but to say it’s “reliable and verifiable” is another. People can believe whatever they want, but literal interpretations of the Bible inevitably lead to some forms of intolerance. Even if Rhett/Link didn’t know what the show was about and did it for a job they are ignorant at best.
Being humorously petty? Love it. But really, I watch GMM, and Rhett has mentioned: no matter what, creators will never please everyone, so you may as well do what you like. I feel like as long as you’re doing what you both like and enjoy, people will continue watching. Also, I love how a curse word was bleeped out, but the word “cock” wasn’t 😂. I was just watching The Daily Show and it was the opposite.

I think when the commenter referred to your new format as "half-assed" he wasn't saying you guys weren't putting the time in, but that the format of simply being a react video was half-assed. It obviously takes so long to make these videos and we as viewers certainly aren't doing that work, but in terms of react videos there are already endless options for those on UA-cam. Your old format of frequent guests and silly games you made up yourselves was so unique and creative and set you apart from everyone else. I'm fine with react videos every so often, especially when you're jetlagged or tired or just need a break, but I think you two really shine when doing things like skits or joking back and forth with crew members. You guys are doing a really great job and feel free to keep testing new things out, but remember that your creativity is what really makes your channel stand out.

Rarely leave comments on videos, unless I think it will actually be helpful. So hopefully this is just that. Been a fan of both you ladies individually so I was so on board w/ TMG! Have watched each day as I drink my coffee. All that being said here is my thoughts on all the push back from the first week of season 2. My guess is that everyone got worked up since every episode was in the react formula and it was labeled as S2. If you just happened to have a week of “react” videos, don’t think it would have made such stink w/ people. I enjoyed the videos from week one of S2, but would of rather they had been sprinkled though out a few weeks. Always love when your TMG staff are involved in videos, can see how much fun you all have.
I agree, I thought that was the new format. I didn't leave any negative comments because at the end of the day I want them to be making content they enjoy and I enjoyed the reaction videos well enough, but I think my not entirely positive internal reaction was because I thought this was what the content would be like going forward. I probably wasn't paying enough attention when they explained Season 2, so it's probably my own fault (wouldn't be the first time), but that did make a huge difference to me own reaction to them.
Grace, I used to come home from middle/high school and watch your DailyGrace videos every single day. I am now in grad school and I love being able to come home and get to watch This Might Get. Thanks for being my far away internet friend for almost 10 years.
There is ALWAYS at least one time every episode when you guys make me burst out laughing (although usually it's more like 4-5 times). This episode was the remix of Grace's reaction to the latte art. I died. Also, Mamrie has the quickest, wittiest brain out there. Like, I am constantly shocked.
I've been watching from the start of This Might Get and actually I love the new format. I want to see more of you just interacting with each other because you work off each other so wonderfully and obviously love working with each other so much. And you make each other laugh, which makes me laugh. So I can do with less guest appearances and more of you two just working it!

I wish Grace and Mamrie would’ve acknowledged the episode with Perez Hilton. I felt that had the most negative responses from the viewers. He’s so polarizing and has given the LGTBQ a bad name. He’s just not liked in the community. With both of them having a big following in the LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 I felt it was a little irresponsible to have him on. It’s like mainstream media covering the Paul brothers. They’ve given UA-camrs a bad name and discredit the great/hard work so many content creators have done. Honestly, I just love that you two are doing ANYTHING together. I love and watch you both separately but always really enjoyed the videos you would do together. A Knight's Tale is an excellent movie. You had Heath Ledger, comedy, action, good music, a love story, women breaking stereotypes, some subtle literary references, and someone changing their stars. However it is ok that you dont like it Mamrie. You are allowed to be wrong.
Actually, I like your reactions to pretty much anything. That one time, when Grace did a live stream and watched the Stranger Things trailer for the first time is still one of THE golden moments on the internet. So do keep them in the mix, it's fun.

I watch This Might Get every morning before I go to work. It definitely sets a mood for me and helps me get through the day. I'll never understand leaving negative comments, though. If you don't like a video don't watch it. Example: the Dr pimple popper ep. That stuff skeeves me out, so I just didn't watch the ep. Hey guys!!! Thanks for being so transparent. Its weird to think sometimes how I’ve been watching y’all for 7 years but this video felt really personal. (PS Mamrie reading Ive Got This Round and it inspired me to have some really tough conversations with my partner... like an hour ago... I’m on UA-cam to start feeling beter!) I think we don’t HATE the react format, but we panicked that season 2 was only going to be react videos. If you do them in between other skits then cool beans. We were all just really worried that TMG was fundamentally changing with no warning.

Don't feel anchored to the studio. If you do a coffee taste test, go to a coffeehouse. If you try to see who is the better athlete, go to a track and field arena with a hot male Olympic athlete as coach. If you create a holiday costume using $20 of junk you bought, take us on the shopping trip. Make a scavenger hunt for the other person around the neighborhood. Go to a dog pound and rate their hyperness, attractiveness, likelihood that they'll get adopted (by you). I'm just thinking of ways to get away from the Female GMM associations.

You literally got me back after I kinda stopped watching the last season. The Shane episode and the Sabrina one (to a lesser extent) were great! That Beanz sketch made me die from laughter ahahah Keep up the great work!

I wish Grace and Mamrie would’ve acknowledged the episode with Perez Hilton. I felt that had the most negative responses from the viewers. He’s so polarizing and has given the LGTBQ a bad name. He’s just not liked in the community. With both of them having a big following in the LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 I felt it was a little irresponsible to have him on. It’s like mainstream media covering the Paul brothers. They’ve given UA-camrs a bad name and discredit the great/hard work so many content creators have done. Am I alone here? 😅 also love Grace and Mamrie. A fan for life!
Unfortunately I don't think they will ever address the controversy behind that episode (or the Britney Furlan one for that matter). They seem content on picking comments that they can be defensive and petty about. Or maybe they contractually can't comment on it. No idea.
Things I love: Skits, reactions/conversation, guests, you both trying things like VR... so all of it? I don’t think I’ve had an episode I wanted to skip through!

I’m an OG for TMG! Been here since S1 ep1. I love the evolution of the show. I totally get that you need to keep it fresh so it stays interesting and energizing for you, too as creators. As long as I get to start my mornings with some Grace and Mames, I’m a happy camper! Keep rockin’ it, girls!!

Honestly, I just love that you two are doing ANYTHING together. I love and watch you both separately but always really enjoyed the videos you would do together. So whatever you do on this new channel together is automatically amazing. You're both hilarious and obviously putting in a ton of hard work and I love it.

I honestly didn’t notice a huge difference in the “format change”. I just appreciate a funny video ready for me in the morning while I get ready for work. I think This Might Get is an awesome channel and I love that we get you two together weekly! 🙌👍

A Knight's Tale is an excellent movie. You had Heath Ledger, comedy, action, good music, a love story, women breaking stereotypes, some subtle literary references, and someone changing their stars. However it is ok that you dont like it Mamrie. You are allowed to be wrong.

Actually, I like your reactions to pretty much anything. That one time, when Grace did a live stream and watched the Stranger Things trailer for the first time is still one of THE golden moments on the internet. So do keep them in the mix, it's fun.
Love you guys so much and I'm so happy you have a second season but I think the main thing I've missed is just having guests. Even if it was just one a week would be great. I miss the games you designed around and played with them.

I watch This Might Get every morning before I go to work. It definitely sets a mood for me and helps me get through the day. I'll never understand leaving negative comments, though. If you don't like a video don't watch it. Example: the Dr pimple popper ep. That stuff skeeves me out, so I just didn't watch the ep. I didn't whine that it wasn't the content that I wanted, Because it was the content you two wanted to create. You both are awesome! Keep up the good work and remember to also take care of yourselves 😁.

I think we don’t HATE the react format, but we panicked that season 2 was only going to be react videos. If you do them in between other skits then cool beans. We were all just really worried that TMG was fundamentally changing with no warning.

Don't feel anchored to the studio. If you do a coffee taste test, go to a coffeehouse. If you try to see who is the better athlete, go to a track and field arena with a hot male Olympic athlete as coach. If you create a holiday costume using $20 of junk you bought, take us on the shopping trip. Make a scavenger hunt for the other person around the neighborhood. Go to a dog pound and rate their hyperness, attractiveness, likelihood that they'll get adopted (by you). I'm just thinking of ways to get away from the Female GMM associations.
