    Can't wait to use this game in my 10th grade chemistry class after we learn about the periodic table and trends!

    I heard that Oxygen and Magnesium were dating and I was like O Mg
    I like terrible science puns... but only periodically! Besides, all the best ones Argon.

    The game does look fantastic, the only problem I have with it is the player colours. As slightly colourblind, 3 of the player pieces look more or less the same to me.

    I actually played something before Tom reviewed it! How was this possible?

    Glad to see this is a good game. I have the deluxe edtion in my office from Kickstarter and haven't played it yet. I was told not to buy anymore games, so I have a nice pile in my office that will slowing make their way into the collection at home... tee hee. Can't wait to play this one!

    Great video! My booth was next to the Periodic booth at Gen Con and I picked up a copy. Looks awesome!

    I wish this game had a solo mode, because I really want it, but my wife wouldn't play it with me. She would believe she couldn't win, because I am a chemical engineer and she doesn't like science.

    Awesome, i'm thinking of picking this up when i get more moolah. Always regretted not taking Chemistry in highschool but hoping to catchup on some of those fundamentals with this game. Would've preferred those plastic cubes from Pandemic to give a more 'science' vibe but that's just me. I know there's alota others who would prefer the wooden cubes. cheers mate, tops review

    I'm interested to know which is the better game for a 13 year old - Periodic or Compounded? She loves science, but mostly enjoys cooperative games. Anybody play both?

    • @ShaulTzuar
      @ShaulTzuar 5 років тому +3

      Honestly one can learn different things in both games. I think that periodic would be great for someone who needs to learn the table of elements and the different grouping of elements and how they're arranged. Plus, Genius Games always includes a 'Science behind the board game' kind of booklet in their games.
      In Compounded you are learning what elements make up certain limited specific compounds. It's a lot of fun but it had more indirect interaction with your opponents.

      @@ShaulTzuar thank you! I really appreciate your reply 🙂. I may try with Periodic first.

    Not a fan of this game. Playing the game doesn’t teach you anything about the periodic table except the locations of each element.
