I love that every time you drop a Kapustin recording, it just instantly becomes the best recording of that work almost by default. doing some incredible stuff here man, so hyped for the rest!!
Thank you very much! The more and more you play Kapustin's piece the better one can read between the lines. Have you already heard the other concertos on the new album?
So pleased to see the Toccata on the new album, Frank! It’s wonderful - I knew it from Kapustin’s own recording but you’ve brought it completely up to date. Phenomenal pianism and amazing advocacy for one of the greatest composers ever!
oh this is so good. I've listened to the Masleev performance of this a lot and I immediately notice how little pedal you use compared to him. Not quite as fast, but it feels so crisp and snappy. Authoritative as always.
In German we say "Er hat zwei linke Hände" meaning something like "His fingers are all thumbs". Regarding this astonishing performance me as a German would make up the term "Er hat zwei recht Hände" to refer to him as the opposite meaning something like "His thumbs are all fingers" 😂 jokes aside ... translate directly it says "He has two right hands" and I can't imagine a better phrase do describe this incredible clean worked out "unisono" lines Frank is spits here. A true Master of his craft. Kudos to Kapustin by the way for writing this sick tune.
@@FrankDuepree danke schoen! Absolutely love your works, especially Kapustin in a trio setting without sacrificing the piano virtuosity. Hope you do more in the future; and maybe discover more composers and works like these!
@@LuoTheMusicologist I promise, we'll do! In this album we don't add drums or jazz bass, this is all written like it is by Kapustin. Guitar, drums and bass are involved in the score by Kapustin himself.
Everything is great 🔥♥️😍

Yes, Kapustin is such a genius!
I really love the B theme of this 3rd movement. It feels like I'm looking at the city of night, where dreamy neon signs sparkle.
theres no better way to celebrate that christmas is coming than listening to this album
It's immense excitement that defies description to listen to your performance of Kapustin. I literally worship you!!!!!
Exceptional music and phenomenal players! Well done, Frank, big fan here! Bravooo
Can't wait for you to record the Concerto for 11 instruments next!
You can’t fault the facility, energy or rhythmic buoyancy, nor the upfront production values. A winner.
Sir, you are doing an amazing job 👏 🙌 ❤️ We are your fans! We're realizing unpublished works by Kapustin soon (with Genuin), will keep you posted!
Best interpretation..! Thank you from South Korea. This performance made my day

Stupendo! Complimenti, ho appena acquistato l'album completo! Aspetto altre registrazioni, piano concerto 1-3-5 e tutte le sonate!
What a world we would have if we started replacing some of the world's excess of rhapsody in blue concerts with kapustin.
this is insane
Amazing as always! Concerto 3 next?? 😅😅

As a German, I totally understand, what you mean!! haha 😆 thank you
Hi Frank, will you be doing the Concert Rhapsody too? Since it’s technically a piano concertante work.
It's on the album. You can listen to it now!
what time will the rest of the album drop 🙏
Happy Release Day!!!
nice performance! but may I ask why you guys all wore headphones?
This was filmed during the recording sessions. The drums were in an acoustic box, and so we could hear us better with headphones.
