I'm on my second DCT bike First one was a VFR1200F - definition of a bi-polar bike. In drive it was a nice chilled ride, in sport though it was an animal. 2 bikes for the price of one. Earned a speeding ticket on that one. I would have one tomorrow if I could, its a shame Honda stopped doing the VFR12F with DCT Current bike is an NC750. Boring in both sport and drive, but drive at a steady 56 on the motorway I'm getting 95mpg, and being DCT filtering is a dream. I was looking at getting an NT1100 as a blend of my two current bikes, the NC750 and a BMW R1200RT. But now BMW should be releasing an RT with their auto clutch and auto gear selection soon (its DCT on a single clutch) I'll probably get that instead
Thanks for the ride out mate!good to see the inner workings for these videos.im expecting a backlash for calling the AT vanilla!😂 good honest review as usual!
If you took your favourite sports tourer to your favourite track and WSB rider Toprak was riding the NT1100 (with panniers + top box) would you be faster than him? Or would it be how many times he can lap you in 25 mins? Many riders buy the biggest fastest bike to mask their lack of skill. Pretty sure you haven't seen a very good rider show (what on paper) is an under performing motorbike can do in the right hands. I have. ATB
Not quiet sure where this is coming from mate, nothing im talking about is track related, ive only ever been on track a handful of times on my MT10 and I never claim to be the fastest bloke around, there will always be faster people than you.
All the wiring hanging out from under the TFT looks unfinished - How did that ever get signed off at Honda? - I really hope they have encased it on the 2025 updated bike.
You're comparing a 100bhp bike to 2 bikes with 140+bhp .... a bike with a lazy parallel twin adventure bike engine to 2 bikes with high revving straight 4 sports bike engines .... Honda don't class the NT as a sports tourer, they class it as a Grand Tourer. With that said .. my manual NT with quickshifter was quite easily capable of keeping up with a well ridden Ducati Hyper-Motard and Yammy R6 on the twisty coastal roads when I took it down to Cornwall .. thats sporty enough for me.
On paper the NT1100 DCT is the perfect bike for me, but it just looks soooooo dull. I need something that I look back at when I leave it parked up 😂 I'm also frustrated with Honda for limiting the cruise to 30 mph/3 gear. I used cruise in 20's all the time. WTF Honda!! If you don't like being in 6th at 30 mph just press the S button, simple as that, nothing to learn etc.
I moved my screen once in Spain and got blasted with hot air? It's the only time I've adjusted it in 23,000 miles of ownership from new??? Asked my BMW owner friends, do you adjust your screen up and down all the time....... er no.
Each to their own though isn’t it. I know with the electric screen I moved it up and down depending on the type of road I was riding. Motorway. Get it all the way up for max comfort. In the twisties I lowered to get a better view of the road. 🤷🏻♂️😁
Its a perfect bike for the people who love them like me . Simple really
keep enjoying your 1100 mate, ride safe.

It is interesting how DCT divides opinion. I challenge anyone to live with it everyday for 3 months and I'm confident they'd not go back to a manual.
BMW is having issues on their gs 1300. I was considering the RT also but it's just to expensive maintenance wise

so in summary your point is that toprak is faster than most around a track?

They say there's been some improvements for the 2025 model, lets wait and see, fingers crossed :)

I hear ya. My Tracer CC only works upwards of 40 in 4th. I'd kill for 30 in 3rd.

I bought one a few weeks ago and it's certainly not a "sports" tourer.
Whats your opinion then would you really think of it?
Honda don’t call it a Sports Tourer, no idea why you do 🤷♂️
commuting, sports, tourer or all three? is what Honda say.leans towards calling it a sports tourer!
tourer and nothing else!
It's a touring crossover, NOT a sport tourer.
Crossover of what. A touring sportser. But not a sports tourer? 😁. I’m just having a laugh with you mate. 🤙
Nothing to do with sport-tourer... the NT1100 is a tourer.
Example... Kawasaki Versys 1000 is a tourer, Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is a sport-tourer.
New Versys 1100 sports 133 hp!
