    Thank you for sharing your butter making process! I have never tasted cultured butter, but my mom (of European descent) has said it's wonderful. Your videos are always such a blessing, God bless you! 🙂

    I love the idea of getting the cream out of the milk first, to make easy peasy home-made butter, before using the rest of the milk to make kefir, brilliant!

    About how long can you keep the sour cream before it goes bad? I dont use enough milk or milk byproduct to make butter from it, but if i could save it a couple weeks it might be worth it. Also, due to my weaker immine system, id bave to heat the milk or cream before culturing it or using it. Would thay negatively impact the process?

    • @OurGabledHome
      @OurGabledHome  Рік тому +1

      If you're using raw cream to make the sour cream it depends a bit on how fresh it was when you made it. If you boil the milk/cream beforehand, the sour cream should last at least 2 weeks ~ Anja

    I’m surprised that you put your jar in the windowsill because sunlight killed so many good things in milk and cream. That’s why it’s always sold in shaded containers.
