- All my links in one place linktr.ee/came... Today i'm creating an easy collage masterboard & making tags from it.
I'll be using a sheet of 12 x 12 scrapbook paper that i'm really not keen on and covering it with bits and bobs from my scrap paper box.
Then i'll be cutting it up to make four tags and three journaling cards.
This project is perfect for beginners and more experienced junk journal fans.
Hello, I'm Julie from Camelia Crafts Designs, welcome to my channel.
I love all things vintage and junk journal related.

"Stupid Cupid, I'm covering you up". 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm with you 100 percent
😁🤗💜
Well I think your video is one of the funniest things I've watched in a long time. I have giggled the whole way through it. I think crafting is only one of your many talents. You definitely brighten my day and night as it's the early hours of the morning I am watching you. Thanks so much for sharing. Blessings
I love that you talk to yourself. It helps me understand your process. It always gives me inspiration. Thank you.
Thanks Katherine😊🤗💜
I Love Love your "Tip of the Day".........."put the GLUE SIDE down!" You are So Fun and Talented to watch. Thank You for your ideas!!!!!
That ones a secret, 🤫 don't tell anyone😘
Thanks Candy😊🤗💜
The top tip is the best... put it glue side down... works just so much better.. , have just written it down for everyone so they don't forget!! 😂❤♥
😅 I know it's a new radical idea, but it really does work 😁🤗💜
Every time you say “ecky thump” I think of The Goodies 🤣😆
Goodies, goody goody yum yum😅🤗💜
😂 just love you and your commentary at any time about anything ❤
How have I never seen a tea bag used like this….I love it!! New ideas are always so fun.
I think Artymaze was the first person I saw doing this and knew I had to give it a whirl 😊🤗💜
I talk to myself all the time it helps me try and get things figured out in my head maybe that’s one reason I really enjoy listening to you
It really does Nancy, helps me to remember things too.
Thank you so much love 😊🤗💜
If shoulda woulda and coulda’s were candy and nuts we would all have a merry Christmas..I actually laugh out loud watching your videos..thank you..
Thanks Terry, so true😁🤗💜
Oooh upside down soduko! That sounds like fun!! 😃
I do sideways soduko in bed😅🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns 😂🤣😂
let's crack on!!! love listening too you! also fabulous work too!
I enjoy making master boards. But Julie, you make me laugh and I enjoy listening to you even talking to yourself. 😁😂😁😂
They are quite relaxing when waffle free😁🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns absolutely.😁😁
Love this project Julie. “The crumpled look”! Oh my goodness…you make me giggle.
My children have learned to love the crumpled look. Irons are for crafting😏🤗💜
I have so many tea bags and haven't quite figured out what to do with them. BACKGROUNDS! Of course. Love these tags.
Me too Lani, my friend is really well organised at saving them for me.
An idea I've had for a while and not tried, is sewing some sort of ruffled trim with them🤔 🤗💜
We love long and waffley videos lovey, keep up the good work, love it xxx 💜🧚🏿♂️💙🦋💚🌼💝🌸🌻
Thanks Helen, i will😊🤗💜
Thanks for the laughs! I really needed them tonight. I had a rough day at work but you've made my evening better. 🙂
So glad I could help with that Katrina. Hope you have a happy weekend 😊🤗💜
I absolutely love your channel ❤️ don't worry your not the only one who talks to themselves lol🤣🤣🤣
thanks love and since the invention of blutooth and wireless headphones and handsfree do dahs no one looks at me like i'm crazy😅😊🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns I know exactly what ya mean 🤣🤣😊❤️
that's hilarious, "put the glue side down"…I've been known to say: "getting out of the car is so much easier when you undo your seatbelt" lol
😅 one of my regulars is pouring milk with the lid still on, then you know exactly what I say to myself 🤗💜😊
Thank you so much for doing this one for us. I can't make tags straight to save my life so the plastic card is wonderful.
You are so welcome, 😊🤗💜
Yes and she turns the hole thing upside down so she can tell when the corner is in the right position!
I really do enjoy you and your waffling!
Thank you so much 😁🤗💜
Girl you are so funny. I love watching your videos, you make me laugh out loud. I’m disabled and home alone during the day so I look forward to seeing you everyday. God bless you bunches
Thank you so much Sharon😊 I think it's because I don't get out much myself and subject you all to my mad ramblings😁🤗💜
I’m disabled too Sharon, and was laughing away at her commentary. Love someone with a sense of humour! It gives me things to think about when I’ve got quiet and down time. Good to fill our minds with such positivity and creativity. 😄😍
I so love watching you create! And always get a chuckle or two also. I’m an American, from the state of Michigan, and so enjoy listening to you talk AND sing! Thanks for a fun time today? 😉 ❤️
The ? Mark is supposed to be a !
Thank you so much Barbara 🤗 I love knowing where people are from. It boggles my brain that I'm here and you're at the other side of the world watching me craft and ramble😁🤗💜
I blows my mind too that we are so far apart but can be together enjoying crafting.
My hubby sharpens scissors for sewers all the time. $6 each time brings in nice extra spending money!!
Oh wow Betty, that's fabulous. I actually love it when I'm proved wrong in a positive way😁
I remember my dad sharpening our knives and scissors on the stone doorstep 😊🤗💜
Julie, I absolutely love all of the paper pad that you showed in this video, if you don’t use then you can send them to me1 🥰 I do love your videos and projects, I always have a giggle and grin when I watch them, you are a natural comedian. God bless you and your girls.
Thank you so much Cindie love ☺️🤗💜
I love your masterboard tag’s Julie 😍😍
Thanks Deborah☺️🤗💜
I usually lurk and like however I have had so many chuckles watching this video I just had to come on and say thank you... ~Toni
Thank you do much Toni, your support is always appreciated. Have to be honest, I'm more the lurking type myself 😁🤗💜
LOVE your little ditty...stupid cupid I'm gonna cover you up, 😂
Omg Id forgotten that Kristina😅😁🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns yeah, it was priceless!!!! 😂
I love the simplicity of your collage tags and the beautiful color of your tea bags! Tags turned out just Gorgeous!
I’d love for you to come to the US! I’d talk to you all day! I’d even take you to Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Joanns AND Tuesday Morning
These are gorgeous. Love watching your videos 💕
Thank you so much Linda😊🤗💜
I love it I don't feel so bad now.... Ican't for the life of me cut tag tops evenly..lol I too have had to make a template. I have been watching you all day, whilst I finished of an art journal for my friends birthday tomorrow. I have had a great time watching and listening to you. We are so alike lol

Love them my friend! Hugs 🤗
Thanks Sherly Whirly 😊🤗💜
I really enjoy watching you love the fact that you just do it and don’t think about it love it keep up your great ideas and great work
Theola
Thanks love 😊 I haven't always been that way, I used to overthink things to the point of never making anything😐🤗💜
Hello Julie, First of all I want to say how I really love your videos and since I am a Geordie living in Canada, its great to hear your accent reminds me of home. Anyway, to get to my point, we only have Micheals here and they are quite pricey. So I wish we had some alternatives even junk stuff we could use for collating etc. I have made so many of the things from your videos and love them.
Hi love, thank you so much🤗
I get do much stuff from Amazon to be honest as I don't drive and when you add on the bus fare to get to Poundland etc it's not cheap anymore.
I'm lucky to have a couple of good charity shops locally though☺️🤗💜
Love your master board tags and journaling cards. You are not alone in talking to yourself, lol!
Thanks Bobbi😁🤗💜
I love love you you are good for me also very inspirational thank you
Theola
Aww thank you do much, that's so lovely of you to say so😊🤗💜
LOL and love your videos from Jacksonville, Florida ❤
Hi Julie love these. I love your neutral master board and it’s a great way to use ugly scrapbook paper and believe me I have plenty of that.
Would you believe my grandmother was a knocker upper. She had 2 sticks one long one with fishing weights on the end that she use to rattle on the window and the other was short like a club made of ebony to give the door a good rap. Anyone I’ve ever mentioned this to thinks I’m mad. And yes in Australia it means something totally different. Lol 😂 ❤
Oh i believe it love, what a fabulous story, i wish they were still around, nothing wakes me when i'm in a deep sleep, i can turn off the alarm without waking up.
I'm realising Austrailian sayings are more like UK ones. It's the Americans who are different😅🤗💜
LOL, you made me choke on your "bet she had a hand on this" just as I was sipping my coffee.....You are a darling. Love your work too. Thanks Julie, your a highlight to my day.
Glad you enjoyed it, sorry i nearly choked you 😅😏🤗
Maybe i need a warning😁💜
Lol...maybe a flash warning at beginning....lol
Thank you so much for sharing this Julie, I will be doing a collage to make a master board for a challenge soon and I need the help and inspiration so this is great timing, it's something quite new for me but I can never resist a challenge 😂🙏💐💐
You're very welcome Diane🤗 Good luck with yours🤗💜
I seem to be getting addicted to your channel. I’m hoping I will get positive enough to work along one of these days. Thank you for sharing. You’re as good as a cuppa!
Thank you Mary🤗 go on, give it a go, craft along. these collage boards are a fab way to collagea as you can just stick another piece ofer anything you don't like.😊💜
I always enjoy your videos I need to make a master board
Crack on Sherry 😊🤗💜
You organize your stash however you like. What works for one doesn’t work for another. And that’s okay!!! Love your commentary. You make me laugh.
I think you're playing fast and loose with the word organise there Pammi 😊🤗💜
Julie I love to listen to you. In the USA a waffle is something you eat lol. I find I use a lot of master boards. When my mo jo is not so good they’re a good option. You can cut them up later, decorate them. Especially muted ones. Keep on talking to your self.
I enjoyed watching this video. You make the collage process look so easy. And love your finished tags ❤️
Thanks Evie. I've just started taking part in the #2022collagechallenge
That one I'm not finding so easy😅😊🤗💜
Love the variety in your scrap container, never saw a stapler load that way. Thank you for sharing your time with me.
Thanks Bell. Yes that Tim Holtz stapler is very strange😊🤗💜
Julie, you are so funny!! Maybe we need Julie’s Top Tips!!! 1. “Glue side down”. 2. Don’t let rub ons loiter with intent!!
😅🤣🤗😊💜🤶☃️🎄
Another fun video with beautiful tags to show for it. Don’t worry about the time..it’s all good. 👍❤️🥰
Thanks Kathryn😊 I just imagine you all asleep it I go over an hour😅😁💜🤗
You are and inspiration. I love your nonstop rambling! Waffle on!!!!!
Thanks Kim😁🤗💜
I guess Jane Austen! I love watching your videos. You say exactly what I think when I'm working in my craft room, just funnier!
Thanks Karen😊🤗💜

Hi Julie, just found your channel, you crack me up! Live in Somerset, UK, so totally get all your expressions, references to Corrie etc 🤣 Love your crafting too, great ideas, thanks for sharing 💕
Thank you Lucy😁 My Corrie snippets are as old as I am sometimes. I'm 15 years behind watching it😐🤗💜
Mavis “ I don’t really know” love it!
i use to do the same thing with the headset lol ya cracked me up
Really enjoying your videos & watching you craft. I talk to myself, too and yell at inanimate objects. 🙂 Ugly papers make my eyes hurt, also. 😎
Thanks Susan😊I used to get sooo embarrassed talking to myself when out and about. then i was saved by the smart phone😘🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns 🤣
Lovely! I need to have another look at my stencils. Suggestion, more ephemera please.🤣😂🙊
NOOOOO....those fabrics snips absolutely do not belong in the bin!! 😮 You are right to keep them...they become beautiful again when used as tabs or on clusters or under focal points. 😀 You're so funny humming the Adams Family song made me laugh and brought memories.
😮 did i throw something away? it's so unlike me😅😘🤗💜
Like you I have many pads from The Works, I find the paper very heavy to work with, and even if a pattern is ok often the large scale of it on the paper makes it difficult to use. Although if there's a horrible pattern on one side it can be quite useful as it makes using the 'nice' side much easier!
Totally agree Carol. I tend to use them for things I'd normally use card for😊🤗💜
This inspired me so much…I will be covering those ugly papers! Thank you!
Happy you enjoyed it Tracey, have fun making yours 😊🤗💜
I’ve been thoroughly entertained watching this! Been chuckling along, from Melbourne Australia. My friend in Michigan USA shared it on Facebook. Love your beautiful tags! And love your Northern accent. You sound like a dear friend of mine. ♥️ Will watch you videos again. I subscribed to your channel. Keep commentating; you’re Awesome at it! 😄
Hi Rachel, thank you so much and thank your lovely friend for me😊🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns thank you, I just did. ♥️
😁🤗💜
So you are like me, think you are good company! Me too!
Thank you so much Bell😊🤗💜
I like cutting my master boards on the "other' side, not the collage side. That way I dont get distracted about where to cut (another decision).
YOu are just keeping my brain woke , I cant stop thinking about what I want to make for my first journal, had a look at the amazon shop so I could get some of the things you use , stocking up an making bits for the journal as I wait for things to arrive , I am excited to get started . Thank you for all you share. Have a wonderful day !
Sounds like you're having a wonderful time. I do that still now, i have a number of boxes where i accumulate different themed items ready for journals😊🤗💜
You made me laugh out loud with the comment regarding "loitering with intent to jump on a collage". Thanks so much for the laugh and I did enjoy the video and loved your tags.
Thanks Debbie😊 wish I was still loitering with intent to eat the chocolate I already ate🙄😁🤗💜
My stash of The Works pads is eagerly waiting to be covered in collage and used! Great idea. I'm thinking collage the nasty backside of one and use it as a journal cover. Have the collaged side as the inside of the cover 🤔 I might have to try that. So much inspiration in this video and SO much fun 🤭 you crack on woman... you crack me up 🤣
Crack on Mrs. Imade another one today, i'm cooking with gas😅
Making one into a journal cover sounds like a fabulous idea🤗💜
Thank you! Julie! I’m making a note to myself about the Elmer’s extreme! I tried making a couple of master boards last week after watching one of your videos while I was sick and of course that means no mojo and that’s the time to make a master board! Well, it did look great, but next morning it was lumpy bumpy! So I put it under some heavy books and it looked great again next morning again but after a few hours…somewhat lumpy bumpy again! So I misted them with a fine mister and back under the books again, and again next morning after a few hours of freedom…lumpy bumpy. I used Elmer’s but probably a really cheap one. I’ll put them under the books again, maybe iron them first this time and maybe leave them for a couple of days! Time will tell!! Otherwise, they are so nice! Any ideas? The cheap glue must have a lot of water in it because I am in dry, dry Colorado! Thank you! You are great!!💕
Love your channel
Thank you for your inspiration
Love making master board's they are fun can be used in so many different ways thank you ❤️
Thank you so much Joan. They're so relaxing aren't they😊🤗💜
😂yep, I've just done this! And with a couple of The Works 12x12 Pads too, painted one side and covered another with pieces of another paperpad. (great fun!) At that time following Ceri the Crafters plan...may have found you through him...or not, anyway...found you about a week ago and have been watching ever since... made a few of your makes already. Great fun, keep on crafting😊
(Lyn)
I like the works papers, but they’re very specific, you can’t use a lot of them how they are like that right now, you do have to do something to it first. They’re always so thick as well, I’m glad you showed us a way how to still get going with them. 😄
Totally agree Emma. They're like card really.
Glad you enjoyed it and picked up an idea or e😊🤗💜
Wow! Love the 70s 12 x 12, can I buy a lot of your pads off you, ? Xxx
I have a question about the 'knocker upper', who was paid to wake people up, who woke the knocker upper up? Did they have a knocker upper, knocker up?
Yep, and they had a knocker upper knocker upper knocker upper. Or maybe they gave the job to an insomniac 😅🤗💜
You can sharpen your scissors by cutting a couple layers of tin foil aluminum.
"Loitering with intent...". I enjoy your humor so much!!! I just wonder how that bird flew into your botanical fussy cuts. And the nerve of those rub-ons to crash the botanical stash. How rude (LOL).
I think craft supplies are like the toys in Toy Story, moving around and having fun together when we're asleep. It's the only logical explanation😘🤗💜
Oh good grief I got loads of these- dare I say pretty naff papers, don’t even know why I actually paid money for them. So thanks for showing ways of getting rid lol
Yes Penny, you're right😅 it's like they do it on purpose. A few gorgeous ones then mix them with some of the ugliest patters ever😅🤗💜
😂😂😂 I've got some of the same pads Julie I darnt put my glasses on to look at um there terrible arnt they xx
They literally make my eyes jiggle 🥺😊🤗💜
The tags look lovely you made, you make it look easy, takes me bare days to have a long think before I start anything, tea bags are great to use believe it or not I've tea stained dryer sheets before now and there great to use aswell xx
Very nice job, can’t beat a bit of colour. All brown is pretty boring. I Ned to fussy cut too but much prefer watching UA-cam lol. Thank you 😀😘
Thanks love. Yes i seem to have done a few very brown projects recently and was craving some colour😊🤗💜
I just finished putting on a clear gesso over my master board and it looks really good, but now I don’t think I want to cut it up.
And that's why I have a folder full of master boards Paula 😘 The trick is to tell people on youtube you'll be cutting it up and then you have to😁🤗💜
Laughing at you again, the expressions you use are very similar to myself. I had a nanna /grandma nap today and my husband calls me a night owl!.. oh well at least I can be entertained while I'm on the night shift.. loved the idea of the home made corner tag board. Made on now. So simple but great idea. Where can I get one of those slim pointy glue bottles Julie? Thanks xx
You can't beat a nanna nap Wendy😁 been packing orders all morning and I'm tempted to get a cheeky one in before the girls get home from school 😘🤗💜
❤
Thanks love 😊🤗💜
Jame Austen 😊
Thanks again lovely☺️i'm guessing i was trying to think of her name🤗💜
Hi Julie, loving the tutorials, went on the works yesterday to look at there paper pads and they have shot up the prices on the paper pads, now selling at £14.99,
Wouldn't mind but that's a massive increase, but went to Homebargins Friday for shopping and noticed they are now selling 12 X 12 paper pads for £1.99 couldn't believe it, was so happy
Downfall is I'm on a ban from buying any more craft things by partner, so think I might have to do my magic on him ( wink wink ) lol, to be fair to over the last 6 months I've spent over £700 on all craft gadgets and everything 😉 Xxx
Oh that's shocking about the works 😮
I try not to go on their website as I spend far too much and the kids get a week of 'let's empty the freezer' meals😅
Good look buttering up the other half😊🤗💜
I'm excited to get to home bargains next week now though😁
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns Hi Julie, went to homebargins and paper pads aren't that good tbh, I got some but I don't think they are suitable for junk journals, but maybe some tags, I got them to make boxes and storage things, you never know they may get more in xx
Those papers would be $13-$22. Each here in the US.
A tip I learned from Cori, her UA-cam channel is creating with scrapes, she runs her collage tags and journal cards through a laminator to get rid of the bubbles. I said to myself, why didn’t I think of that lol 😆
Great idea Stephanie, I love using my laminator to dry of stick things. Hadn't thought of that, but will be giving it a whirl 😊🤗💜
Ok. I just HAVE to know where my fellow Americans get a pad of 24 count double sided 12×12 paper. Truly, even given the conversion rate, I can't find any. Not over here in Washington state. It makes me want to move to Sheffield. Even without factoring in that gas, for my gifted-late-model-salvaged-title VW, is $4+ a gallon, I don't where I can them for that price. If anyone knows please let me know. 🤞
🙄💁 I really don't know. I just always see people doing hauls from crafty shops with 50% off coupons 😅🤗💜
I never had anyone to listen to me when I was younger, so I talked to myself a lot. Then when I was in my 20 seem everyone that wasn’t my family heard me talking to myself. It was embarrassing 😳.
Oh i know just what you mean, hence the earpiece lol 😁🤗💜
We don't have Tuesday Mornings anymore😭😭😭
Oh no, it sounds like shops are dropping like flies as they are here love. One of our oldest chains has just folded, Wilkinsons😐🤗💜
What is a good substitute for a teabag?
Oooo, tissue paper, or napkin backing. You can use a bit of ink and water to stain it 😊🤗💜
The cupid paper was horrendous!!!
Agreed😅🤗💜
Please explain: "to knock someone up" ??? In Australia it mean to get someone pregnant, is it the same in UK ??
Hi Michelle 😊 yes it means that hear too. But it also means to be woken up by someone knocking at the door. I'm often knocked up by the postman on a Saturday😅
So apparently that's because knocker upper was an actual job in Edwardian times, who knew 💁🤗💜
What was the name of where you got the word sheet from?
Hi, the Etsy shop is Eclectic Egg Plant, heres a link to the kit

Great video Julie! Have you ever received anything from Michael’s yet? I live in Canada so I don’t have all those other stores around here but I sure do have a Michaels. Let me know XOXO
Thank you so much love ☺️ ooo i didn't even know you had Michaels in Canada, i thought it was just the US. no i don't think i have ever had anything from michaels🤗💜
@CameliaCraftsDesigns I would be honored 🎖 to provide you with your first item(s) from Michael's!!!! Is there anything in particular you want or need? I'll send you some Super Happy Mail!! LOL Do you have access to the website at all?
I'm just reading your email now love, do I'll reply there, thank you so much☺️🤗💜

@@CameliaCraftsDesigns Yessss!!!!
Be sure to stick it glue side down, it sticks better that way 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
The phrase knocked up in the U.S. means to be pregnant. I guess the knocker upper would be the dad. Lol
Omg it means the same here too Tommi 🤣
I always assume sayings and phrases are different there. Probably because you have funny shaped footballs⚽🏈😅🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns lol. I never know either if phrases mean the same or different. Lol
