That Fatal Blow is timeless. I don’t give a shit if people say he’s “not that good” or something like that. Shao Kahn will always be the final boss of MK
As someone who plays shao khan a lot now recently very excited for this vid
Others may disagree but I think he’s top tier. He’s safe on most of his attacks, he’s quick for his size and range, you can’t jump in on him and he deals mad damage.
"Safe on most of his attacks." His best mid string has a flawless block gap and is punishable normally. Not to mention the sad excuse of a 'mixup' that he gets afterwards with a throw or a special. Awful string, awful character.

His strings are trash, special moves either unsafe or just not viable half the time, projectiles trash damage is only thing going for him, on a casual level he’s playable but any higher ur opponent just abuses his weaknesses
He is constantly taking risks. If you are opponent is even somewhat good at flawless blocking then your mid string becomes almost useless. He easliy gets outclassed by actual top tiers.

i just recently reinstalled mk11 yesterday and i’m using shao khan again like i never stopped playing
I think Shao Kahn and Rambo are both tied for being the worst characters in the tier list. It's not because they're bad or don't deal a lot of damage, it's because of their frame data; Shao has great damage and combos but a lot of his moves have gaps that can be interrupted and flawlessly blocked

I love corner combos for Shao Kahn- I main The Kahn and with Jokers I have the most difficultly to kombat- if you haven’t tried; 4 back 4’s at any range with them cornered, diagonal forward 4 into a amplified shoulder charge- couple juggling forward punches into a amplified skewer- forward punch/combo for annihilation or otherwise
Near %50, with down back trigger- I play Xbox I’m not sure of the universal name, but the Humiliation ability I think it is called, will exceed %50

The thing with shao Kahn is he can be elite yoy just gotta know how to use him so many people use the fast characters like scorpion liu kang sub zero etc but if you know what you are doing shao Kahn can be a good main character.

Love watching people trying to "read" and punish with d2. Do these people not understand that the payout versus getting punished for throwing it out there, is most definitely not in their favor. Tip- Punish with a combo string or grab.

Jumping over enemies with down back 4 slam must be the worst glitch this game has, making a safe string into a completely punishable one purely on RNG. It's so sad.

why do people think he's so bad? Sure he's kinda slow. Even has a 9 frame jab for some reason but you can be near death and if you guess correctly and make all the right moves Shao will delete your health in seconds. I mean the man has an easy 43% combo meter-less! You can't tell me he's bad.
Maybe he’s good at a low level but his frame data is terrible.

If he had the meter burn launcher he had back in mkx in this game, then it would be safe to say that for KK overall.
His high damage comes from the totems whereas shao Kahn doesn’t need his damage buffs

In fighting games it’s more effective to do the same combo that’s the most damaging, sometimes u can switch it up depending on the situation,but if u can get off the max damage you should go for it
