    Clocked 4k km on my vstrom. I'm getting 39-41 KMPL in highway. I maintain 70-85 km/hr. In city traffic you can easily get 35-38 KMPL. Best bike for this price, they could have improved the instruments cluster and headlight throw, apart from this I dont have any complaints.

      I add some here. Mainly longer suspension front n rear not possible if they provide rear also longer it increase height.. so rear I expect Xpulse like suspension..at rear.. n secondly Fresh headlight n tail light design we don't want gixxer flavour... 3rd New Tft ktm like instrument is mandatory because itsc250.machine people ready to pay extra . 4th braking shoul be improve like KTM THEN I READYBTO BUT ON EMI ON 2025

    1) Which oil do you use?
    2) Left side pulling issues?
    3) Engine heating?
    4) How often you change air filter and brake pads?

      1. Motul
      2. Yes it is there, but can be reduced by maintaining proper pressure.
      3. In heavy traffic it is there but bearable.
      4. Air filter every service, brk pads in 10K +

      Definitely bro, honestly saying initially I myself had the fear that this is a tall bike, how i will handle in traffic n different situation. But bro now its been 1.2 year n 25000KM +. Now i am like 200% confident n i can take it to whatever road condition you can challenge me. So the point is it’s all in mind: the fear of managing a tall bike. Once you develop the habit n skill gradually you are gonna kill it. I hope this gives you enough clarity.

    05:19 When you do actual Off-roading then you don't sit-upon on the seat, you do saddling .... V-Strome is a very capable off-road bike but it is not hardcore off-roading bike. If you really want a hardcore offroad bile then go for Kawasaki KLX 230 which is having spoke wheel.
    Rode 49,000+ km in two years never experienced left-side pulling, your bike must have some problem, try to change the cone set or T bar.

    • @RoamwithSom
      @RoamwithSom  22 дні тому +1

      Yeah bro. I do agree Vstorm is a very capable bike. For me now its one year and 26K KM running. Let’s see.
      The left side pulling issue is not every time happening. It happens occasionally. Also sometime with correct tyre pressure it gets resolved. Sometime with correct tyre pressure still shows the left side pulling issue. Anyway the pulling is not that much, so it is totally manageable.

    • @Cla55icG00se
      @Cla55icG00se 7 днів тому

      Left side pulling issue is there in most VStroms. Maybe you got lucky. 80% of fellow owners I met in the service center have the same issue. So I dont know what are talking about. Just a quick goggling will show you how widespread it is. VStorm can do same offroading every single two wheeler in India can, does not make it a off roader. Its just for highways with good roads. I did a lot of bad stretch of roads and ended the day with backpain. The rear suspension is pathetic. Same with pillion seat and rear brakes. They are all bad. Except those 3, instrument cluster, headlight throw, rest of the bike is good.

    • @RoamwithSom
      @RoamwithSom  6 днів тому

      @Cla55icG00se that’s true bro. That’s why i say Vstorm is best value for money interms of long distance highway touring(which most percent of riders generally do)

      @RoamwithSom great bro.. im overall satisfied with my bike, escpecially when i cruise in highways the engine is a perfect example of refinement. Its 90% highway tourer and 10% practically good on uneven roads. Upright position is perfect for long touring and you dont feel fatigue. I have achieved 45 kmpl on highways with an average speed of 85- 90 kmph.in cities i often get 36kmpl. So far completed 5 services. Average cost is around 2500 apart from when i had changed chain and sprocket at 14500kms which cost me around rs6000. This ans the 250s should have been priced much lower than they are now, otherwise this is going the way of inazuma. I really want to know who their head of marketing is . For me what matters most is Reliability (as I travel Solo to mostly remote places), Refinement(Smoothness), Good Highway touring Capability(like effort less crusing power for long duration) which I feel still lacks in Himalayan.
      So I would still choose Vstorm.
      But but but I love the off-roading capability( torque, suspension) of Himalayan. If there is a situation where off-roading and mountain ghat roads are there (for example Ladakh) then I would choose Himalayan. But practically to reach Ladakh(any such places) one need to travel hell lots of miles on Highways.

      @ Thanks. But how do you lower it? Can we do it manually or do we need to change any parts?

    How could be this as budget bike? It's over priced
    If u compare with Gixer since both are same bike

    • @RoamwithSom
      @RoamwithSom  3 місяці тому +1

      I wouldn't agree when you say it is same bike as Gixer. I completely understand and agree both share same engine, chassis, suspension etc... but there are differences like tyre size, handling, tweaking, ground clearance etc. It feels these differences doesn't matter on paper but trust me ride both the bike practically in different scenarios, you will feel the difference (specially in long distance touring)
      If I talk about pricing, yes it is overpriced if you compare the actual worth of the changes over Gixer. But this is brand strategize their products line up.
