Ian, no worries about not getting a lot of sewing done. You needed a break after the holidays and had some fun! Don't beat yourself up over it. You will get back to it when you're ready. It was a quick month. Looking forward to catching you and friends on UA-cam at Quiltcon since I cannot attend. Have a blast!
Thanks! It’s definitely going to be fun.
Sounds like the combination of it being January, post holiday, and post year-ish long adrenaline hyperdrive to plan to move, pack, move, unpack, organize, explore your new area, spend time with Becca and others has made a perfect storm of let down. And yet… you’re still going strong from our viewpoint. Hang in there. We all have lulls and whatever the opposite of lulls is and sometimes the middle space between them. Love your content. Stay goofy. Be kind to yourself.
Thanks, it does feel like a perfect storm. I think you nailed it.
Ian I am working on cleaning my sewing room for a great 2025 year. On my list I am going to finish my unfinished project.
You can do it!
January and March are the longest months of the year
That’s what they feel like for sure.
Quilters Studio is a nice store. Sometime venture to Artistic Artifacts in Alexandria.
I’ll have to check that out.
Ian, I made the bag before the pages. Remember the binding hack to sew the binding to the zipper loop before sewing the zipper loop to the front and back. It's sew much easier 😅
I forgot about that! Thanks for reminding me!
I’m sure you will be back at full seams ahead!! Have fun at Quiltcon!😊
I'm looking forward to it!
Great recap. You did get a lot done! I feel like January flew by. Your bags are looking great!
Thank you! I’m happy with how they turned out so far.
Thanks for the recap. You did get a lot done.
Thanks! I feel like I didn’t, but it helps to hear that I did.
At least you’ve gotten started Ian
That’s very true.
My flex light from cutter pillar is going to be delivered tomorrow
That’s so exciting!!
You might not have finished many things this month but you have started plenty. Anyway quality not quantity. January is also a planning month. I’m so glad the colourway from the podcast was a prank as it was just not you. You did well trying to hide your disappointment. Fingers crossed you get one you love.
That’s true! I’m setting up for the year.
😊

Hello❤
Hello 😊
Did you shop for your jelly roll border on Saturday? How wide will you do its border?
I did! I think it will be 6 1/2” wide.
thx
You’re welcome!
Slow is good sometimes - unless you're a race car driver, then you may have some explaining to do!
🤣🤣🤣
An idea for an upcoming video…..a chat about your rapidly expanding collection of ribbons❤
That’s a great idea! I’ve got a lot for sure.
