The ability of Man City fans to gaslight is incredible. All teams have some bad decisions now and then. But the Athletic did a detailed breakdown of the top 6 or 7 clubs and big decisions going for / against them. Guess who came out considerably the best? City. And considerably the worst? Liverpool. This wasn't a bunch of parochial pub chat blokes sitting around their webcams, like this show (apologies Terry as your input is usually measured and thoughtful), but a detailed, thoroughly researched article in a reputable sports outlet. How on earth anyone can say the Rodri and Doku non-penalty decisions to name but two weren't bewildering is beyond me. I don't know why those things happened but the reality is they did and they were very, very difficult to understand (the first one at least drew the useless PGMOL apology - as indeed did the Odegaard handball non-penalty at Anfield). Add in other incomprehensible decisions last year and in preceding years, affecting other teams including Arsenal, and it's hard to accept that City wouldn't have lost at least one PL title that they have won in this era of hegemony. That isn't to say they've not been the best team. Overall they have been. But not by as much as 6 titles in 7 years. What Cootes has done, to say nothing of the ongoing litigation between the PL and City, is to lend weight to view that there's more to this than just good /bad luck. Unless, seemingly, if you're one of the City fans on this show.

I don't like City. But I'm really hoping they come for some of these content creators for speaking with so much chest on allegations. These dudes aren't even smart enough to include the *allegedly* on the front or back end of each of these statements.
Someone should have told City they didn’t need to spend a lot on world-class players when slipping a few bob to the ref was a much cheaper option, and the outcome would have been the same. Obviously City’s bribery and corruption department needs a good shake-up.
As a long suffering Man City fan, I really don't give a fcuk. I've been watching them for 50 years and I've seen it all. People have short memories when City were getting nowt in the 2nd division (third tier), very, very short. I can honestly say that the only referree that was City's 12th man was Jon Moss. God bless you Jon, we'll miss you.
The job of referees is difficult as it is and there's bound to be some controversy here and there, but for the sake of transparency the fa has to do more to eliminate obvious situations where the argument of conflict of interest can be made with respect to referees that work in the league.
Every team gets horrible/lucky decisions go for them and against them. This whole crying about refs narrative, making up an excuse for your own club's failures, it's laughable that certain fans actually believe it
The corruption is so deep it has become an art form...when they give City favour decisions, its always, key matches in key moments. when they give other teams especially those potentially dangerous to City, the favoured decisions are inconsequential like the match is already won. Even within the game City vs Liverpool or arsenal itself you see how the game is played out according to such manner..
Should have competition for referees. I.e allow referees from spanish, french german federations like we do with football players. Use different organisation. Money is in the EPL i dont get why we cant get the best referee when we have some of the best players

They should have 3 seperate room in var. A bit like 3 judges doing a scorecard of boxing. These 3 referees have absolutely no means of communication whatsoever And 2 of the 3 must agree for a decision to be flagged/made. It would hopefully reduce bad calls because if one referee has certain biases the other 2 by chance should not. So say they want to review a penalty claim like the one that went against man U. All 3 of the refs have the power to flag this up with the on field referee. There is no communication available between the onfield referee and Var as this only causes the ref who flags to try sway the decision as we hear constantly. It is merely flagged for the onfield ref to review. But this review can only go ahead if 2 of the 3 refs have agreed to flag it. Again off sides and that should all be semi automated. Do handballs go to the onfeild ref or can var directly call for a penalty? Anyway same again it must be either flagged by 2 of 3 refs to be an onfield review or agreed with 2 of the 3 refs to be a penalty Thats how I'd do it anyways because things have gotten so bad.
