Don't know why this song strikes a nerve every time I hear it. In my opinion, this is not only the best song by Lamb of God, but also one of the best songs of the decade overall- in all senses..
+Kelsey rossi right I know my band and I are looking for a new drummer we decided it would be good to cover some log to gauge drummers and we were like lets start with two we all decided on still echoes and they were like dj what gives you the feelsys man. that's a thing I'm quoted on and I was like how about this fucking awesome man I hope they make their way to Tennessee this year cause I'm going no questions
BROKEN! broken in will, your past is leaving, dissappearing misery saves CHOKING! Pain is a thrill, rage is instilled, compassion's a cage! (chorus is fine) STRONGER! sooner or later, we crawl our way back into our favorite hole TROUBLES! swallow the saviour, a violent way to his highest goal (all fine from then on)
I absolutely love this guys. And this song is an absolute top... Now, answer me this: why does the solo sounds easier to play than any other part of the whole song? I mean, that's a thing of beauty. It might just be me but, the fact that it actually might be easier than the rest of the riffs, pace, hammering consistency of the composition... I really think it is a work of genius. ¡Viva Cordero de Dios!
I love both Death and Lamb of God. Let's look at this way, both bands have very talented musicians, play metal, and are both technical in their own way. Also, Gene Hoglan and Chris Adler are my two favorite drummers of all time, right before Richard Christy.
Anyone know the exact meaning of the lyrics? I get the overarching theme but there are some references flying over my head, idk - maybe it's coz I'm Australian and christians aren't all that common, only a small minority of people here like to actual church and shit lol
Death's drummer from Individual Thought Patterns and Symbolic was Gene Hoglan, a.k.a. "The Atomic Clock." He is also the drummer for Dethklok on their three releases.
I didn't contradict my statement. At no point did I say Pantera was just like LoG, What I said is we changed the genre we call them. Also if you're going for the first very first Death Metal band that would be Possession, they were Influenced by Venom as well as Judas Priest and they're also called an influence by Death. LoG are Groove Metal, Death Metal, Thrash Metal, they have different sounds but they're all the same sub genre family. (1)
Technically, Venom started as death metal. They just so happened to kick off a whole new sub-genre with one song (Black Metal). Led to a slew of church burnings and whatnot in Norway back in the mid 80's
Actually they would have fallen under "New Wave of American Heavy Metal" 20 years ago. But not it's 20 years later and it doesn't make any sense to call Lamb of God New Wave so we call them groove metal, Just like we did with Pantera.. Hell just look them up, the majority will tell you "groove metal". Slayer, Celtic Frost, Cannibal Corpse these bands are Death Metal.
No, no, no Sabbath and Maiden are not New Wave of british metal. Sabbath was one of the first Heavy Metal bands out their, they are the purest form of Metal because they created it.
definitletly not in it's purest form. I love Lamb of god, but "Pure Metal" is Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Dio, and those guys. This is melodeath/metalcore.
When i first watched it there were a lot more mistakes but now all i see is that it's supposed to be "Read the story OF my skin" Not 'on' and you made that mistake like once more. Sorry dude i was drunk the last time i watched this so i could have had one eye closed. I was just bored and on a computer i usually just listen to the albums, i own them all but i was just hella drunk. I don't remember telling you to burn in hell.......
Gives me the chills everytime.
- Damn mindblowing riffs.
Yeah their riffs are freakin sweet. Hard as hell to play! But sound sick.when you get them up to speed!
indeed!
Don't know why this song strikes a nerve every time I hear it. In my opinion, this is not only the best song by Lamb of God, but also one of the best songs of the decade overall- in all senses..
i second that! the intro just gives me the feels every time i listen to it.
Agreed
Same!!!
“Tell me more about the man I should’ve been”
I always get goosebumps when he says that.
good metal has a habit of being immune to categorizing. tis simply BRUTAL FUCKING METAL!! The kind of shit you punch your neighbors pomeranian to.
CourtneyLynn Rowell this is fabulously

+Kelsey rossi right I know my band and I are looking for a new drummer we decided it would be good to cover some log to gauge drummers and we were like lets start with two we all decided on still echoes and they were like dj what gives you the feelsys man. that's a thing I'm quoted on and I was like how about this fucking awesome man I hope they make their way to Tennessee this year cause I'm going no questions

It was meant to be listened to not categorized.
This fits a Natives perspective on religions that came to North America 🤘
I absolutely love this guys. And this song is an absolute top... Now, answer me this: why does the solo sounds easier to play than any other part of the whole song? I mean, that's a thing of beauty. It might just be me but, the fact that it actually might be easier than the rest of the riffs, pace, hammering consistency of the composition... I really think it is a work of genius. ¡Viva Cordero de Dios!
this is called metal. in its purest form
There were a few mistakes in the lyrics, but i really love this song. The intro is beautiful.
Groove Metal.
Amazing riffs and solo❤️
I love both Death and Lamb of God. Let's look at this way, both bands have very talented musicians, play metal, and are both technical in their own way. Also, Gene Hoglan and Chris Adler are my two favorite drummers of all time, right before Richard Christy.
2:10 !!!!!! awesome!!!!

Definitely one of the best Lamb of God has to offer, fucking brutal lml
Anyone know the exact meaning of the lyrics? I get the overarching theme but there are some references flying over my head, idk - maybe it's coz I'm Australian and christians aren't all that common, only a small minority of people here like to actual church and shit lol
Actually guys, the genre Lamb of God falls into is badass.
You're right :) In their earlier years they did call themselves American Death Metal.
Dat Intro..
Death's drummer from Individual Thought Patterns and Symbolic was Gene Hoglan, a.k.a. "The Atomic Clock." He is also the drummer for Dethklok on their three releases.
How bout, everyone shuts up and listens to the music! :D
he has future ^^ try with grace from the album wrath
Tell me more about the man I should have been!!!
Sounds like matalica at first then sends into the log we all know and lv
the intro to this song totally reminds me of some Metallica song. just dont remember which one. Can someone remind me please!
Lamb of God is New Wave of American Heavy Metal, or Groove Metal, depending on who you ask
dec is coming...uk tour
nice guitar solo

What with theess grandpa guitars? Jk :D Swisgar Swigelf
super
Is there a difference between badass and metal?
Yes. Simply put, metal is alcohol, and "badass" is whiskey i.e it is not "badass" without metal.
Hahahaha. I feel ya bro!
Dat solo..
Chris Adler...man
theses guys are not very into soloing still this is the best solo of LOG.
Hail the Lamb
dat solo.
i don't want to write anymore..
im sorry. my feet was stock in this wet cemment.
out there*
Awww did the poor Christian stray from gods word and fall open the dark and epic tides of metal?? :P
Actually they would have fallen under "New Wave of American Heavy Metal" 20 years ago. aww haha ;)
The lyrics looked right to me.
@2:22 dat fill
not bad
Just my opinion, dude. No fight.
Not really, they're self-proclaimed just "American Metal"
Lamb of God falls under a type of groove metal and death metal mixed into one genre. This is not metalcore..
I've heard "Death". L.O.G. is better in my opinion.
I have a feeling you aren't fluent in the english language.
Not even close. Lamb of god is death metal.
Lamb of God isnt death metal. But yea.
No they're more Thrash/Groove metal.
Codghost
2018 ada yang masih liat ini..
whatever. its all fucking metal
When i first watched it there were a lot more mistakes but now all i see is that it's supposed to be "Read the story OF my skin" Not 'on' and you made that mistake like once more.
