@@cavlizzy yep and you're welcome!! And yeah the liners are great the only ones sold out are the black and brown. Which if course are a couple I don't have. I'm considering getting the others too. And maybe the mascara I just hate to fall in love with it then never be able to get it again.

I think with Give Me Glow the shimmers are really where it's at. "Electric Unicorn" is so stunning that I want their other multichromes, too. Especially "Zenon". Oh my lordie!! Beautiful!!
Zenon is so lovely!!! It is a flaky formula, so it took me a bit to learn how to work with it but it is one of my favorites! I also have dragon's blood and want a few more. They really are stunning.
I have Electric Unicorn, Dragon's Blood AND Zenon...they're all _stunning_

I love GMG, but I also always set my primer and always use my finger for metallics (from any brand), as I don't have long nails and I get the best result that way. As many have said, their individual multichromes and insane metallics are really the draw for me, although I also love their palettes too and have great experiences with them. As a brand I appreciate that their launches are always smooth, they ship quick, and they seem to have stellar customer service (I've never needed to use it, my shadow came intact for the coral palette).
My experiences have been the same as yours. I do love all of my GMG palettes and singles, and I've also purchased lipsticks, lip glosses, blushes, highlighters, and makeup brushes, all of which have been great for me.
100% agree that the 2nd look really benefitted from the added darker shade in the outer corner! I love both the finished looks! I think the first was my fave overall, but the second one looks super exotic, like the most beautiful peacock!

I really love their products and I hope this collection is exceptional cause it costs me 165 euros between shipping to France and fees... It's the only company that is that expensive 😔😔

@@helyanamanso In my extensive code research, I have found HIDOLL10 and GLOWINGDOLL10 - both are "supposed" to be 10% off, but they are closer to 2 or 3% off unless you spend a massive amount, then they go up to like 6 or 7%. The craziest part is that they are different percentages from each other and the percentage changes depending on how much you spend. But it's something I guess? Hope that helps. 🤣
I was very impressed with GMG’s customer service in regard to the issues with the Rave Princess shade in the Coral Nightlife palette. They reached out before my order shipped because of the issues already being reported to them, and they offered to refund the shade or let me pick a different one as a replacement. I really appreciated the offer as well as the upfront communication. Once I picked out the other shade I wanted, my order then shipped very quickly.
You captured my thoughts on the matte formula exactly. I bought the Bad Witch Club as everybody raved about it and I was very disappointed. The mattes are immensely pigmented (I think they're most pigmented mattes I have ever used) but they are difficult to blend and layer. However, their shimmers (I have some singles from them too) are mostly chef's kiss.
I had exactly the same issues with Bad Witch Club, that's one of the reason I wish they really should make smaller pans, so at least you can save a bit if it's not perfect

@@magicxspace5406 I was actually disappointed in the Bad Witch Club. The matte formula seemed different than what I was used to from Give Me Glow.
I think glamlite is my favorite indie formula. I love terra moons as well, but glamlite is foolproof and affordable. If I could only keep one brand for eyeshadow it would probably be glamlite.

Love both looks! I have tried several GMG shadows, and yeah, the mattes are mostly a miss for me, although their pastel mattes are awesome especially compared to their brighter/deeper mattes. And those shimmers! Love them. That yellow shimmer in your first look is so pretty.
I’ve seen a lot of other reviewers enjoy the GMG “special shades”, but feel “meh” about their mattes.
I picked up Passion in Paris from a TJMaxx before BH got purchased by MUR, and I’m super happy about it.

Personally I LOVW the GMG formula! Their mattes work well for me but their metallics are my fave! So pigmented and smooth and shiny! Their brushes are also AMAZING!

I completely 100% agree with your review. Everyone always says they are the best and I don't agree. There shimmers are stunning now. That's where they shine! But I have always had problems with their mattes. I do my shadows from lightest to deepest and I have problems layering Give me Glows shadows. I still buy there palletes because I love their color stories especially Bad Witch Club Palette. Great review!!❤
I love GMG shimmers. However, I am done with their mattes. It's a finicky formula, and there are so many amazing shadow formulas where I don't need to finesse or change my routine (primers, application techniques).
Electric unicorn, roses remix, glamourous, zenon, and their toppers are amaaazing.

I was so into the gmg swatches on insta so I bought some of their singles early this year. To my surprise, they are not meeting my expectations- unlike the juicy olive palette that I purchase as year ( one of my fave green palette). So, I don't really have high opinion about their quality any longer. I found that coloured Raine's shadow performed much much better than gmg.
I bought two palettes, the Christmas Morning and the sweet and sticky, I found that some of the darker matte shadows are so pigmented they become patchy... Its really disappointing considering how expensive they are
I agree and also theyre just sooo unnecessary huge. Wish they'd make them smaller standard 26mm size.

I waited for so long for someone to review them, but then I caved and bought like....6. And I am so glad I did! They are so pigmented but SUPER blendable!!! They melt into your skin!

Bad Witch Club is in my top 5. Crazy pigmentation almost like a paint! I love it! The shimmers are foiled. Fantastic... with no primer. Maybe your eye and tastes are so highly refined, AND u just like what u like...u guud Mah!👑💖🙌

I've held off ordering from GMG because I hate the giant pan sizes - but the second I saw their shade Zenon I knew I had to have it, so that will be my first GMG purchase later this year. It looks so magical! 😺
I was like ANGIE....wait she can't hear you. LOL I do the same by repressing with alcohol. I also will use a small like a Quarter and putting paper towels, then press it. OMG You created the perfect palettes. 🥰

I have the pastel dreams palette and I tend to like using those eyeshadows as a blush or highlighter- I also adore the shimmers but I always apply them with my fingers and it definitely works well. The mattes are on the drier side which I don't love, but the colors are very good. I think their shadows work best for extreme statement looks
I definitely have the best luck with applying their shimmers with my finger! But once I do, very few companies create such a dazzling look in my opinion! It’s so stunning!

You have to get the Juicy Olive pallete from Give Me Glow beautiful grungy green and great formula.
I love my GMG shadows! I haven’t purchased in a while (considering their ridiculous pan sizing) but the vintage rose palette is my favorite from them and that palette’s caused me no grief:) i feel that their mattes are hit or miss a lot of times bc i own the vintage rose and christmas morning palettes and those work on both unset/set bases as well as from dark-light/light-dark. That being said, i would say that most of the hype is definitely in their shimmer formula! They’re just hyper metallic, dimensional, and overall stellar shadows! If you’re open to purchasing from them again I would recommend their shimmer singles and the vintage rose! Thank you always for your content, i loved this honest and fair review! 😊
Haha, compared to the other comments, I actually dislike their shimmers. I love the mattes as they work nicely with my preferred looks which is usually 1 matte all over the lid, or a dark matte blended out with 1 lighter matte. I appreciate that it's a black-owned brand who prioritized making sure their mattes were pigmented enough for darker skin tones.
I really like GMG shadows but I do always put them over a set eye primer. 😁
They are so silky and finely milled I learned the hard way that I had to do that! Haha. But once you figure it out, boy are they incredible! I wish they sold smaller pans though because if I hit pan, they crumble or break easier no matter what the formula is. :(
Me too. I use glitter primer or a spritz of mixing media if I want more oomph out of my shimmers but I hate blending mattes of any kind or brand on a tacky base.
I'm super interested because they have some beautiful single eyeshadows 🤗
They are definitely worth it! If you like intense sparkle, shimmer or metallics, you are in for a treat!
GMG is my favorite indie brand single eyeshadows so I was really interested to hear your thoughts! I think/hope the more you use the shadows the more you will enjoy them! I'm up to about 65 single eyeshadows from them.
But, I see what you mean about the issues you were having. I wonder if all three blues becoming one blue was mainly due to the shades being too similar. I have a nice deep blue matte shade from GMG called Starboy, and there is an even darker blue matte shade that I do not own called High By the Beach - and I don't think either of those were included in the palette, if I'm not mistaken.
I own the Give Me Glow Grunge palette and I still love it. I love how opaque their mattes are and how shiny their shimmers are. I still want to try more.
I love big pans and the fact that they are already in a magnet palette 🎨 I would feel like a artist I love the packaging and how cool they have new shade to replace

I love that blue from the Passion in Paris palette - it's a really warm toned blue, almost purple and deep as well. Gorgeous!
I’m glad you got to try give me glow! One of my favorite formulas. Very similar to klarity cosmetics as well. I think it may work better for me because I don’t usually use more than 4 shadows Per look, and tend to use more swiping than patting motions and a bigger blending brushes. I’m not an expert at all, I’m just mentioning how I apply it. I also think give me glow is known a bit more for the stand out metallics. Many duo chrome shades and foiled shadows etc.
Aside from the Juicy Olive palette and the original pastel singles, their formula unfortunately doesn't work for me. I've also tried Pastel Dreams and Vivid Rose, and the mattes in both seemed too hard-pressed. They were difficult to build up, then would either bunch up (the pastels would create a white splotch if I applied too much) or get muddy (similar to your experience, colors were not differentiated enough). The shimmers, oddly, dulled out on my lids instantly. I use a primer and glitter glue, but I don't set my eyes; I also use synthetic brushes, always. Not sure if any of this makes a difference. It's strange because I love Juicy Olive; it's the reason why I bought more from them later on. But I don't want to baby a formula for a meh result when I already have tons of user-friendly palettes with inspiring color stories.
Your videos help me mentally on those days when I feel sad/upset/angry and have no one to talk to. Nice to just think about painting our faces, having fun, playing with color. So simple yet grounding. ♥️

The shimmers are what Give Me Glow really stands out for in my collection. The mattes are finicky and you said it - It’s not for beginners. The right brush is key for making it buildable. Packing it and blending the edge is how I’ve learned to get the best application. I wasn’t sure about if I liked the mattes for a while and now I’m loving their pigmentation and softness. Great video! Thanks for the input. I always love hearing what you think about formulas.

I love the Going Bananas 💛 shade in the Coral Nightlife palette and it really made the contrast pop in your first eyelook , Angie.
I'm very much looking forward to hearing your follow up regarding if a set eye primer improves blending. My eyelids can be dry at times, so I usually prefer a slightly wet primer or I even prefer to shade in bare lids if a shadow needs a powdered base first. It's a little too drying.
I don't buy Give Me Glow's mattes because I've heard the formula isn't the best. And I really despise the larger pans too... I've only gotten some of their duochromes/multichromes and I had to repan into smaller pans. I really enjoy those few shadows I have. I wish they would just make their pans in 26mm pans. Nobody is out here panning those larger pans.
I generally use painterly as my base and usually do not set it (I'm 42 so slightly mature, hooded lids). However, after Amy (AmyLovesMakeup) said that she noticed that their mattes blend better over a set base, I now always set it when using my JuicyOlive palette (it's the only one I have from them and I love it). It works phenomenally better over a set base.
Just mentioning to be helpful since English isn't your 1st language, it's "UNstable", not INstable. Ngl, that is something that a lot of native speakers get wrong as well. However, "differentiate" was 100% correct 😊
I love Give Me Glow! Their shimmers are amazing! Some of the best on the market and the liquid lipsticks are really good as well. I do find since I have "matured" lids (I'm 36) these matte shadows do work best on top of a set base. Btw the first look you created was stunning!

I have several GMG mattes and they are fine. I typically prefer bright colors, but the shade Rose's Remix, omg. You can keep it sheer for a delicate glittery look or load it on for a foiled metallic finish. I have nothing else like it. I use it on the lid, inner corner, and even on the cheeks.
I would've cut that mid blue and replaced it with a darker blue, the three in the palette are just a tad too similar

They are pricey but i still want that blue/green palette. I adore their loose highlighters and i have one of their other palettes and adore it.
I love GMG! They are my favorite indie brand and in my top 5 overall favorite formula. I agree the blue palette needs a darker blue. I also struggled with the darkest blue in the palette. I found packing it and then just lightly fluffing the edges works best. You definitely need to try zenon, dragons blood and unicorn skin, gorgeous multi-chromes. My favorite palettes are Vintage Rose and The Bad Witch Club.
GMG has my favourite matt formula but bright shadows aren’t consistent. Some of them are great, some - not. They are so pigmented that you can cover darker shade by lighter. That is why they do not blend with each other very well.
I really like the colour's of the blues, yellow mint, and shimmer's on you Angeschka. I like both pallet's on you, but I definitely see what you experienced with the blues. It's unfortunate that you had to dip into another pallet to fix their blue issue, but the pigment is fabulous, and you certainly pulled the color"s off when you were done. My favorite is the blue/green pallet, but that's because I prefer cool, more oceanic/mermaid looks, which is definitely what you have here. Nice job!

That weird blue eyeshadow thing made u look like U wearing Watercolor prints across your lids. I loved that look & if u can re-produce it then ur already ahead in the game.

I tried Bad Witch Club palette and very similar issues with the mattes.
It seems individual eye shape and skin chemistry affects outcomes quite a bit. I tried it on my sister's deepset/prominent/round eyes and did not experience the same issues.
Would not recommend for hooded lids or any that become oily or dry in different places. Gel liner and shadow sticks help on outer corner but should not be necessary imo.
Metallics worked fine but they were normal metallics so it would be unfair to compare to multichromes etc.
I truly wanted those palettes but seeing them in action changed my mind, mostly because I realized that it is not filling a void in my collection. They are stunning colours and shadows, but I have those, I would have enjoyed more depth because I'm a dramatic being 🤷🏻♀
I love that you able to recognize when you already have something! I need to be more aware of that and be strong with myself about not purchasing something I already have even if it looks new and pretty. 😂

It’s just so hard to resist when makeup makes you so happy, but I had to come to the conclusion that I was soothe shopping and now I’m putting that money towards therapy 😅 it’s way better for myself in the long run, but that has been long time coming conclusion. 🫠🥲
I agree with the mattes not blending easily & patchy. I have never set a primer, will try that. Shimmers are great
I have GMG’s Christmas Morning as well as 7 singles and I love them. Their metallics are so foiled and intense. The mattes aren’t the easiest to work with but the colors are so unique, I overlook it 😆 I’m so bummed the Whiskey lippie was sold out, I love murky lip colors, so I would love to see your thoughts.
I was so curious as to what you would think of the brand and the palettes. I will say the deepest shade in the blue palette looked so much richer on the website. I had higher hopes for the palettes and your thoughts on them. Not sure if I should buy them now 🤔
GMG is a wonderful brand but their mattes can be a bit finicky. They seem to work best on a set primer and you have to work slow with them and build the formula. Their special shades Zenon, Electric Unicorn and Dragon's Blood are _absolutely outstanding._
Your review of the 2nd palette & the discussion about how they don't layer (and therefore blend) well is exactly how I feel about GMG's mattes. I thought at first that maybe it was a few duds or something about the formula of the dark greens I was using but then the same thing happened with all other mattes in the other GMG palettes I bought. I'm sticking to their shimmer & metallics which are phe-no-menal!!!! There are tried & true matte formulas that I'd rather stick to. I'm glad that GMG sells their palette shimmers as singles and at a pretty comparable price point. I'd rather not pay for mattes that will just frustrate me. I've tried different application/blending/application methods, different primers as well as setting vs not setting the primers. I'd had rather not have to work as hard when they are superior & dependable formulas.

I find the best way to use Give Me Glow mattes are to pat/draw them on and not really blend. I don't really like them and doubt I will be purchasing more. They do have some pretty shades though.
I also get really confused when so many youtubers describe the mattes as creamy. All the ones I've tried are dry and scratchy.
I’m going to try to dupe the Coral palette. I absolutely love the colour story.
Funny enough, the only time I've ever received a broken pan was from GMG and it was purple too. CS was great about it.
I just got the teal one yesterday, and used it today! Lordy, I'm a sucker for purple, blue and green palettes. My Rephr 21 (for shimmers) picked up that light blue shimmer easily. Now I'm sorry I didn't get the coral version, as it's sold out. I've liked some GMG and not others--I liked Sweet & Sticky, but didn't like Vintage Rose. I just didn't think the colors in the VR palette were as pigmented.
I was surprised you wanted these palettes in particular as they didn't go from really light to really dark and the mattes looked very similar. I think their shimmers are what people love about them. I've only ever seen mixed reviews about their mattes and palettes. Still lovely looks of course and so good to see you trying different methods to get them to work for your reviews. 💙

I run into the same problems with my GMG eye shadows. The matte formula I find is difficult to work with. It’s almost as if there is so much pigment that they don’t “stick” to my eyelid. I just can’t seem to make it work for me. Plus, I had a matte shadow shatter and tried fixing it (with alcohol) and it destroyed the shadow. Going forward, I’ll continue using their shimmer or metallic shades.

The first single shadow/indie brand I ever purchased was a rose gold metallic from GMG years ago when you mentioned you really wanted to try the brand. I thought, if GMG is piquing Angie’s interest I should def get my hands on their shadows. Haven’t bought anything from them since because the pans are so big. Now I know better and WAIT until Angie tries the makeup 😂
I love GMG eyeshadows! I feel like their shimmers are some of the only formulas that don't crease on me (now that I'm in my 30's), I just use my finger or a slightly fluffier shader brush (like the ones you use for your crease). I tend to really like their mattes and I think they can make colors that are typically hard to formulate, but I've always had to start with the darkest shade first. I think the blue and green palette really doesn't have shades that are different enough for people to discover that. I've never set my primer, but I do remember certain primers not working with this formula (the Kaleidos primer is one I remember for sure, but I don't think it worked with a lot of shadow formulas for me). I typically use the Natasha Denona or Urban Decay primers with GMG shadows.

I've never loved give me glows mattes imo the metallics are where they shine. Lol didn't even do that on purpose
It's not my fav matte formula. I get those weird dark patches, especially with the lime green and purple. I never thought to try with a set base! I do like some of the shimmers.
I would never wear orange and yellow on my eyes (or my face) because I have very pink undertones, but you ROCK the orange/yellow look!!!!

I brought several of Give Me Glow blushes. The honey one sadly it barely showed up on me. But I love the lavender one a lot! I love my older Give Me Glow eye shadow palettes a lot. Pastel Dreams wasn't a favorite, not sure if they changed their eye shadow formula. Pretty eye looks, nice review!
Both looks were really really beautiful. I don't know if I can choose a favorite.
I've never tried Give Me Glow before, but it's been on my list. I've been on a no buy since January 1st, so it's going to be a little while before I have the opportunity to try them. You are the true #blendingQueen!!

I feel like the crazy odd one. I dont like their formula, at least I cant make them last at all. They disappear despite applying primer before. I never see anyone talking about it and I feel alone with those thoughts....I really want to love them, there must be something im doing wrong but they are the only shadows that do this to me

I got the teal one (have two videos up, shameless self promotion sorry) and loved the formula. I used it over the beauty bay eye base and didn't notice any issues!
Never tried this brand. But the Venetian Rose palette has been on my wish list forever

I bought the teal palette (my first GMG purchase) and while I like the palette, I don't love it. I wish the palette had a dark blue, like navy or midnight blue... Then I would consider it A+

I bought a lot of give me glow shadows and some of my mattes weren't mixed completely and you can see specks and swirls of the other colors in there. Also some of their mattes just crack on their own without even being touched. I've had 4 mattes crack just laying flat in a drawer and I'm not rough with my makeup at all. This has completely turned me off from the brand and I don't want to even use the ones I already own cause of how dry and fragile the mattes are. The shimmers are ok but I like terra moons better

I didnt like their mattes at all, not blendable enough for me but I loved their shimmers! I'd buy more of their shimmers

I actually DM’d the owner of GMG once, her name is Brandi. I expressed my feelings about the matte shadows being so patchy and dry and really hard to work with. Her response was that they “shouldn’t be because they put lots of fillers in” idk what that means exactly but I was just giving some constructive criticism politely and she seemed defensive. Oh well, I love the metallic formula I have many of those in a big mag palette! It’s my fav metallic formula! But I haven’t tried other indie brands yet so that can change! I’m kinda glad to hear it wasn’t just me on the matte formula. Lol! But I agree the colors in that blue/green palette were too similar!!
