DIck Beals was on various roles in early 60s Gumby and for a number of early episodes voiced that OTHER Clokey headliner, Davey Headliner. But in the era above, 1967-60, Nellie Olsen's aunt Norma MacMillan plays him. Dal McKennon played Pokey in this and Gumby and all the others in the early 60s when there were no females (which would be played by Ginny Tyler or Nancy Wible). Both those were also early on Gumby, whose original voice was a lady named Ruth Eggleston, who married one of the CLokey staff.
Then Dal would reprise the role of Gumby for the 1988 revival series,and Art Clokey would reprise Pokey and Prickle. And Holly Harmon,who was Art's daughter in law I believe,took the role of Goo and Minga too.
They seem to be forever tampering with the voices. It looked like an authentic shortie episode, and the voices DID match those I've heard on some other episodes, but certainly not all. It's difficult to watch two episodes in a row that have the same voices, but then I'm NOT necessarily watching them in chronological order. Too time consuming to figure out, and besides, I just want to be entertained, and most of the episodes at least manage to do THAT. Thanks to those who upload them!!
@Hypsan Norma McMillan continued to do the voice of Davey, he worked with tripper Art Clokey (RIP). he had many colds and recorded through them... got Qtips or some real LSD-125???
Of some supporting characters in the "My Beautiful Arpeggio Moion" episode - the one titled "Small Planets" and in the production co.[Clokey]'s "Davey and Goliath" title character. It IS very similar to Dick Beals's voice... and I too thought it was him ,.it's by Norma MacMillian, mother of Allison Angrim, aka Nellie Oleson-the "Little House on the Praire" (b)witch.(MacMillan was also Goo and the identicial sounding Sweet Polly in "Underdog", and also did "Davey" as well.).

Yeah and that reverberation effect that they used on the redubbed voice tracks,the same thing they did with the voices in the 1988 series. It makes it sound like the actors are all speaking through an electric fan.
I used to watch this as a kid in the 70s but watching some of these now , I realize how disturbing they are . Like the one about the dough and the oven , and the clay glob monster
Yeah..I mean, how could they, back then OR now, have "pedophobia" mentioned in a KIDs show. Gumby';s dune buggy makes an appearance (his jeep-it IS a late 60s one..) one of the shortest, just 4 minutes..
Lol I remember watching this on cartoon network like 10 years ago

This is the funniest Gumby short film and the funniest claymation short film in total.
This is the best show :)
Prickle totally burned Gumby... ohhhhh...
I love the way he put things together #KRACKER
Khalid Abdul Qadir Gumby was a neat little show
R.I.P. Dick Beals -- the voice of Gumby.
?? He was never in this cartoon. He DID play Davey, but not Gumby. It's Nellie Oleson's daughtrt Norma McMillan as HGumby (Iand Goo).
hahah,theyre all kind of rude to each other in this one, I love it
I used to watch gumby as a kid when it was on syndication in the 90s... man I never realized how creepy this show was o.O

I love Gumby
hahaha "why couldnt he just climb the hill?" owed
“My head is full of knowledge and your head is full of rocks”, that line gets me all the time.

Nice to hear this as it sounded back in 1967. No synthesizer music as in those "Gumby Adventures" 80s edition .

so Gumby had the original idea of building a BigDog instead of Boston Dynamics??? Daaaammmmmnnn!!!
I can't believe he didn't figure out how to set the rock on top of the big boulder and crack it open. He must have rocks in his head!
Gumby moon
with the stop motion, like Tim Burton in jack's mightmare
Gumby says: UR FIRED 😠
Gumby, You're sick.
I don't know what the fuck these people were on, but they made MY childhood more interesting...
@Oisterboy
He HAS been since he made his television debut in 1956.
Art Clokey, loved to drop acid. It certainly shows.
I used to watch this as a kid in the 70s but watching some of these now , I realize how disturbing they are . Like the one about the dough and the oven , and the clay glob monster
Art Clokey didn't start doing acid until after most the 60s episodes were already made.
@NonstopRam GOO HAS THE ABILITY TO FLY.
Pedal Pumping Scenes from The Perils of Penelope Pitstop (Extended Version) (90 Subscribers Special)
Luv 💛💛
It's actually podophobia, and yes it exists, just like a bunch of other irrational phobias. Pedophobia would be fear of children.

I like Gumby
GUMBY
Pinwheel
prickle sounds like my neighbor
Pokey sounds like such a nerd.

that's like saying nova's stupid
@levelat350 Well I guess the animators did not feel like having Goo fly XD
The story was a bit rough, but the animation was good for its time.
that slug girl is creepy.
@saizoo2018 yes, Damn you google.
It's James aka nova
Gumby OFTEN was a scientist, replying to a few posting within the last two years..
lol feet in my head
GOO COULD GET AWAY
Is Gumby gonna moon someone this time? =3
How....How can they make this ??? :O
Nova?
"Pedo..Who?" Because of Full Moon.... (Crazy)
The good old days when pedophobia was fear of feet!
David B Really? So, when did pedophobia become fear of children and fear of feet get renamed podophobia?
@handy335 No, that was a classic quote ;)
And you spelled "moon" false ;)
google made u come here right :p
@levelat350 err from what?
@toadswimmer No, he's a guy.
since when the fuck is gumby a scientist?
He reminds me of The Pressor on GILLIGAN;s ISLAND, whcih had just fininished its run on CBS (both had someof the most iconic music cues..)
pedaphobia.. is that real?
