Gaby really struggled a lot in her life. She grew up poor she loved her hard-working father only for him to die of cancer. She was sexually abused by the hands of her stepfather no one believed her not even her own mother. She was pregnant only to miscarry her baby. Then she struggled with infertility for a moment. Tried to adopt, but lost that baby as well. She did birth 2 daughters only for one to be switched she went through a lot. Behind her spoiled attitude is a broken hurt kind woman.
Gaby will always be my favorite of the main 4. She always has the superficial air about her, but once you cut past that, she was always far better than Bree, Lynette, and Susan.
this is probably the most tragic thing in the show, Gabby had to accept that she lost her real daughter. But the writers did an excellent job, showing the world the HUMANITY of Gabrielle Solis.
I have always hated dolls but this scene is so touching. Very few people know how agonizing this pain is to lose someone so precious that even all the logic in the world doesn't have the power to stop the pain. The next thing you could do is get something that reminds you of them. Sometimes you get through it, sometimes it's the death of you. Reminds me of the quote "Poison was in the wound and the wound would never heal".
This is definitely one of my favorite scenes. Gaby is incredible here; it takes someone extremely complicated to be this attached to a doll, and Eva demonstrates this perfectly. Her serious side was my favorite part. And, adding to this, I feel like I can relate to her in her love for children-I, too, have a strong connection to them. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a biological child-I would AT LEAST buy myself a doll like Gaby's.

Her daughter also had dark hair with bangs so the doll resembled her and since her switched mother had to leave and hide from immigration cause her husband got caught when her and him got pulled over by the police on Thanksgiving day they had to leave quickly leaving Gabrielle never b able to see or contact her again. My mother has done the same thing since loosing him and this was before I was even concieved so she opened up to me once older. when she was pregnant with him she got stabbed protecting her sister and he got her stomach stabbing her baby boy while she was pregnant with him.
It's an unhealthy way of dealing with pain, to become attached to an item. But things could be far worse. Drinking, drugs et cetera. If family steps in when the spending (on clothes and accessories) becomes too much and helps here and there with keeping the house clean and giving her therapy, then eventually the doll will prove to be a help, not a new burden. I've cleaned up a lot of clutter (brought it to the thriftshop) I formerly couldn't let go of, after I went to therapy. It was the right time thén and throwing it away before, would've given me more stress.
She later risks her life trying to save the doll from the backseat when a thief steals her car. Getting attached to an object can be legitimately dangerous.
I kinda of understand because I put so much time and my extra little money on a doll house making it the way I would've made a real house. But your life has other plans either it's where you live, your finances, or the time it's your only outlet.

It would have devastated both girls not being with their legal families that they’re have each come to know and love. While I feel for Gabby losing her biological daughter, it was a no win situation for anyone involved. The hospital should been held to a higher level of accountability, besides sending a lackey out in a cheap suit to tell the Solis family.
*SPOILERS FOR RED DEAD REDEMPTION II* This is going to sound ridiculous, but when I played Red Dead Redemption II, I got really attached to the main character, Arthur Morgan. Every moment I played that game, it felt like I was right beside him. Whether it be hunting, riding, fishing, or shooting enemies, we did everything together. Whenever Arthur was happy, I was happy. Whenever he was sad, I was sad. So when he died at the end of the game, I was heartbroken. Even though the game had an epilogue and I could now play as a different character, I felt lost without him. It was like I had lost a friend. Now, I’m into collecting Pokémon plushes, and shortly after I finished the game, I went to Build-a-Bear to build an Eevee plush. But while I was there, I came across a dinosaur plush that I really liked, and I got a crazy idea. I stuffed the dinosaur alongside the Eevee, dressed him up like a cowboy, and named him Arthur Morgan. Now I keep that dinosaur plush with me all the time. I take him on vacation and sleep with him at night. He’s like my little buddy. When I have him with me, it’s like having Arthur back. It’s nice. Crazy... but nice.
