Morbark Drum Chipper Eats An Elm

American elm is one of the toughest hardwoods, but 850 horsepower turns it into chips in seconds. Impressive to watch, and just a bit scary! This beast was doing pipeline right of way maintenance on our tree farm. They widened the path for current specs from the Dept. of Transportation. We lost a lot of good trees, but we will have plenty of firewood for a few years. We told them to go ahead and chip elms rather than set them to the side for us.
