Some really nice pulls here. These cards are slick (in a good way). Reminds me of a brief period in my life when I started collecting cards again because I had a friend who also did. And by that point (early 90s), there were more of these types of sets, geared more to older collectors. I was 21, 22, years old, blowing my money on beer and cards to hang out at my friends' kitchen table sorting through them 😆. I miss those days. I also don't mind the longer videos. I seem to have a lot more free time lately 😉😁 Also, interesting David Robinson fact: he was drafted in the 1987 draft, he didn't play in the NBA until 1989-90 season. He was a US Naval Academy graduate and had active comission for two years in the Navy. He was ranked Lieutenant JG (junior grade). Kind of an interesting story.
Fast forward to 2021, these boxes routinely sell for $150+. Also, you crushed the odds with all the shaq and jordan pulls. I got two of the shaq rookie #1 in 1 pack and only 2 more shaqs in the box. Wild distribution!
The Shaq rookie is numbered 1B because in series one, there were limited numbers of a draft redemption card, which you sent in for the Shaq 1A, and you get the redemption card stamped in return. And on 1A, its stamped 'redemption' at the top instead of draft pick like on 1B. They are the exact same card with that one exception. I collected these things like crazy. You have really passed up a lot of rookies in a lot of these videos. Oh, and you will get more Jordans in Upper Deck no matter what year because he was an exclusive spokesman for the company. Buy more Upper Deck from the 90's.
Only 9 minutes in and I'm already pissed off at this guy....how does he not know about this set??? Originally the Shaq rookie was only available if you got a "trade card" in a pack and mailed it to upper deck..they would mail you back the Shaq card & on top it said "trade card" and u would also get back the trade card you sent them with a hole punched in it...

No mention of the Jim Jackson rookie card? Not sure what it's worth now but it was a worthy card back in the day.

Just an FYI, the Shaq rookie PSA 10 goes for $2500 - $5000 bucks. Only about 3% of the entire population gets a PSA 10.
