This is my favorite channel. I can't tell you how much bad content I consumed for years before finally finding an online fitness educator who is no bullshit in such a kind, realistic, and truly helpful way. Thank you!!
I’m afraid stretching isn’t my favorite, so I don’t do it often enough. But I feel so much better when I do some longer stretching during the week. Figure four or pigeon helps the most, I think my pirifirmis gets tight. Thanks for the info, interesting as usual!
I have been watching your channel for a few weeks now. Have discovered today this gem and did the stretch. I love it! My fire log stretch is so bad it looks like my legs are making a tipi 🫣. Anyway Justina, I like your approach to educating people in health, not looks. 💪🏼. I like how you give me tools to explain sports to my children, to decrease the risk of them becoming victims to fads and unhealthy unattainable goals. So thank you.
stretching tells your CNS to chill the fuck out😂😂😂 that's the best thing I've heard since this year started. btw these scientifically backed videos are so informative, please keep them coming 😊
The part in the video about the hamstrings! Yes, been there. And my PT unfortunately did a lot of stretching. Because of that, me myself started yoga instead of strength, which brought me even further. I figured it out myself on UA-cam because I read about the "yoga butt" and learned that the problem was actually a hamstring tendinopathy , which is been aggravated by stretching. Did cost me another year to bring it back to normal! What I wanted to say, very useful information here! Thx!
I have a pretty long stretch routine already but I am going to add this. Combined with some relaxing music, it would be a great meditation time for me while focusing on my mobility. Flexibility is very important in my fitness goals and I appreciate this information and these stretch ideas!
do you recommend doing this for someone with hypermobility in all their joints? I read that stretching might do more harm than good for people with hypermobility. I'm still trying to figure out my body and what it's signaling to me but my body signals aren't always accurate because of the hypermobility
Sometimes I don't have time to exercise before I stretch. But I do like to stretch every day because I have a lot of aches and pains. What would you recommend doing before static stretching if working out is not an option?
Any dynamic stretches beforehand would be good! So if you want to focus on hamstrings for example, maybe a few inchworms or active downdogs before sitting in a static hamstring stretch :)
Maybe that’s really strange, but why do I often feel angry when stretching? It’s so strange. Normal exercises give me much joy, but stretching - not so much. Something similar happens during massage. I often feel annoyed. Is it psychological? XD
Old lady here. Flexibility is so important as we age. I look forward to trying this workout. Since you asked, Madi Morrison has my favorite youtube stretch: ua-cam.com/video/g_tea8ZNk5A/v-deo.html
If flexibility is predominately a matter of central nervous system feedback, why are women typically more flexible than men? I am not aware of any neurological reason why this should be the case.
I don’t know the exact answer, but I actual think this has to do with men vs women activities. Women are prone to things like dance. Men are prone to things like sports. (That is a HUGE generalization but you get what I mean.) that being said, you also see sport specific flexibility (aka hamstrings in kickers) and you also see great flexibility in male dancers. But if you find a study stating that genetically women are more prone to be flexible I would love to read it!

My thoughts exactly . I love how NO Bs AND authentic she is ❤️ I'm addicted
Pigeon pose is my favorite stretch ever. One of the few stretches that just feels good and not painful for me
One of my faves!

Idk what it is with most dancers but we’re always gucci to stretch before class and completely ignore them after LMAO
Hahahah 100%!
Hey Justina, love your videos! I wonder what do you think about Sami Clarke's workouts? 🥰
Never tried her stuff! With a quick search seems like she uses the word “toning” a lot to describe her workouts so they’re probably not my cup of tea.
Can’t wait to do these stretches ❤️..thank you!
You're so welcome!
that stretch felt glorious. thank you!
You’re so welcome!
I should do more stretching although I do take yoga once a week and also during my active recovery day. Thanks for the routine.
Certain types of yoga include a lot of stretching too!
Could you elaborate more on tight = weak? As a pft in training I'm a bit confused as this seems conflicting with tight being overactive
So like I said, tight doesn’t always equal weak. Your CNS simply may present weakness to you as feeling tight. Hopefully that makes sense.
Stretching regularly helps me so much. ❤️
Glad to hear it!
Thanks as usual :)
You’re welcome!

I can’t really comment since I don’t know your situation. I recommend checking with your physical therapist!
Hi! I'm hypermobile too.I found Jeannie Di Bon channel very informative on this topic :)
Could you please review RC Official Fitness workouts? Thank-you for considering this request.
Never heard of that - I'll look into it. Thanks!

@@JustinaErcole Thank you!! I will try that!
Hoping to get my splits and better back in the next year, been stretching for the past 2 year
You got this!
Regarding the log stretch what if you can't do it....I am not flexible in that area....no modifications????
Try a lying figure 4 stretch instead ☺️
Thank you!!
Yessss! Educate me!
always happy to do so :)
Nice video. I like your cat shirts 😊
Haha thank you!
Lovely!
Glad you enjoyed!
You’re fun 👍🙏
Thank you 🤗
