Everybody keeps saying that other artists shouldn't have rejected these songs. True, Sia's one of the most talented songwriters in the world, but for many songs in This Is Acting, I feel like other voices simply wouldn't do the lyrics justice.

Shakira's manager approached Sia and asked her to compose a song for Shakira's most recent album a couple years ago. Sia spent several months attempting to create a tune that resembled Shakira's style and vocal range, which is what led to the inception of Move Your Body. However, Shakira ultimately rejected the song because she felt it was too similar to the work that she had previously done. Sia was apparently hurt by the decision as she wrote the song specifically for her and no other artist wanted the song. As such, she recorded the song and included it on this album despite it not fitting in with underlying themes addressed by the rest of the songs. Such a shame that Shakira turned this down. I'll always wonder what could have been.

This song absolutely slays me, makes me wanna move my body, makes my heart & soul thump in my chest, and overall awakens a feeling in me that can't be explained. I don't know how Shakira could've turned this down, but I'm glad Sia put it out into the universe.

How this album, has ANY negative reviews, is beyond me. This is literally Sia taking matters into her own hands. When others didn't want to perform the songs she wrote, she DID IT HERSELF, and slayed. Anyone who rejected these hits better be kicking themselves right now. Sia is literally the best singer/songwriter alive (pun semi-intended).
This is an absolutely fantastic tune it is the kind of song that would captivate you and wouldn't leave you alone but when you hear it makes you want to dance around or think of someone who you really like

Sia es una genia. No lo digo por esta canción en concreto, pero es alucinante como es capaz de captar la esencia de la gente para la que compone. Esta canción grita Shakira por todos lados. Es capaz de componer en cualquier estilo, en cualquier tono de voz, sin ningún tipo de prejuicio musical... Sia es una mina de oro para la industria y no solo en el pop como Max Martin o Denniz Pop en los 90. Incluso con el pop que pretende ser altamente comercial y venderse, Sia lo lleva a otro nivel, esta canción no es cualquier cosa musicalmente hablando. Cualquiera que sepa algo mínimo de música se dará cuenta. La canción puede gustarte o no, pero de que esta bien hecha, sin duda.
