- Peebs eats every single Takis flavor he could find and ranks them best to worst!
We've got about 20 Takis flavors in total, and there's a lot more than the regular Takis Fuego flavor. There's Takis Intense Nacho, Takis Blue Heat, Takis Dragon Sweet Chili, Takis Kaboom, Takis Guacamole, and more twisty tortilla shaped flavors. But there's more! There's Takis potato chips very similar to Lays potato chip snacks including different potato chip flavors as well as Takis potato chip waves which are basically like Ruffles potato chips. And there's even Takis HOT NUTS peanuts with a takis shell around them.

To be fair if you've never had to do that before why would you? Especially because Takis is usually seen as a chip brand so you wouldn't think you'd have to do anything fancier than just eating it lol
I mean, I wouldn't know to do that because I can't remember the last time I saw someone eating sunflower seeds, and I'd never think eating a chip had steps to it
Continuously calling them sesame seeds while the bag says SUNFLOWER seeds the whole time is painful 😅
Also coming from a place where everyone eats them religiously & watching someone have no idea how to eat sunflower seeds is kind of hilarious

@ivyw5862 you suck the flavor off the outside, then when the flavor is gone, you crack it open with your teeth. You spit out the shell out and eat the seed.
What's funny is he even called them sunflower seeds at one point and I thought he realized his mistake only to go right back to calling them sesame seeds xD.

31:20 I was raised to throw the sunflower seed(s) into my mouth and suck on them for a while. Then, you pop the seed shell with your teeth. Eat the seed and spit out the shell into an empty cup to throw away once you're done. That's probably what they were assuming one would do since the seasoning is on a shelled sunflower seed-you have to suck to get the flavor.
As a kid I would throw a few in my mouth and suck on all of them, open the shells with my teeth and drop them one at a time, then eat all the seeds at once. I started doing this with as many as I could because it made my sister mad 😂

As a trades person you get good at the Sunflower seed snacking game. you just drop a few in your mouth suck on it until the seasoning is gone, Pop it open and spit out the shell.

Takis Chips exists because the brand that sells Takis in Mexico also has a potato chip line called "Chips". You can't register a brand that's called "Chips" in the USA, so they are using the already established Takis brand and name to commercialize them. I'd suggest you try the jalapeño flavor if they have it. They're super good.
Loved the dragon racetrack theme from Mayro Krat playing while Peebs talks about the dragon wave chips. On point editing.
A fun fact is that Takis Fuego isn't the original flavor, they came out way later, however, they became so popular that lots of younger people in Mexico actually believe Fuego is the original flavor and it's definitely the one with most sales, the og Takis have a green bag and it's less spicy than fuego.
Also Takis (the name) is a reference to "Taquitos".
Yep, the OG ones are now rebranded as "Crunchy Fajita" (purple with green bag). And like OP said, "Fuego" Takis came along way after the original ones.
(EDIT: Posted this to add on to the comment above for people who may not know about the original Takis being rebranded, at least in the U.S. I do not know if the rebrand is also in Mexico since I haven't gone back after I lived there for 3 yrs as a kid. They could still be sold under "Original" for all I know.)

The Doritos knockoff of Takis are called Dinamita. They come both in rolled-tortilla chip form, like the OG Takis, and as Dinamita Sticks, which are, as far as I can tell, just flavor variants of another FritoLay product, Chester's Hot Fries. Texture is similar to Andy Capp's fries, but those are corn & potato, while the FritoLay products are just corn. The Takis Hot Nuts are their version of Japanese peanuts, pretty popular (and invented) in México.

By the way, Takis is the name of the brand in the US, in Mexico is just the name of a product of the mexican brand Barcel. All those potato spinoffs products are just normal products of the mexican brand just using the Takis brand in the US.

Takis are weird, but I love them. I used the dust at the bottom of the bag to season a trout fillet. When I cooked the trout steak, it shrank to the size of a frito. Tasted good, but that's extremely weird.
If you can find Mexican hot cheetos, get them. They have a much more complex flavor. It's 10x better. It's like normal hot cheetos + pico de gallo and extra lime flavor. The difference is so glaring that it's insulting.
My pastor didn't know you take tamales out of the husks before eating them, so don't feel bad, Peebs.

Dude straight up the Takis Hot Nuts have been my favorite snack since I first tried them a few years ago. They are crazy addictive!! Luckily I've only been able to find them in small single serving sleeves because if I had access to the size bag that you have....I'd have a problem. Great vid!!

Seed on mouth. Use your tong and suck the seed in you mouth. Then bite and crack open the seed. Move the seed out of the shell to the side of your mouth away from the shell. Spit the shell out and eat the seed.

Generally, for sunflower seeds, you put a bunch of them in your mouth, and using your tongue and teeth, break them open one by one, spitting out the shell and eating the seed before breaking open another.
And yes, eating sunflower seeds is basically a whole activity in and of itself.

It's impressive that you found 20 different Takis; as of right now, I recall that there are 38 different Takis in total.
Before Barcel (the company behind Takis) branded all of their other products with Takis, they were called Hot Nuts, Kettle Brand, and Churritos.

Same thing whenever I eat crabs or lobsters. At least shrimp and frog’s legs are easier to eat (one of my favorite foods is frog’s legs).

Actually the nacho cheese is the original flavor in Mexico, fuego is just the most popular in America so its the center of most of their marketing, its kinda like how flaming hot Cheetos sorr of became its own thing outside of regular Cheetos due to popularity

those takis hot nuts (lol) are basically in the style of japanese peanuts, which have that type of crunchy shell on the outside and they're really good. I haven't tried the takis ones though, because I'm not a fan of takis in general, I have to be in a mood for them. but I do recommend the japanese style peanuts if anyone wants to give those a try
They should try making only BIG versions of taxis. Like the big ones that come in each bag but a bunch in a single bag 🤟😍

Sunflower seeds!! Lol. You eat them by putting a handful into your mouth. Sucking the flavour of the shell. Then move one shell to the other side of your mouth. Crack it. Eat the seed. Left side of your mouth is used for the non cracked shells. Right side is used for the open shells. Spit out when they are al opened.
Takis made this puffs type takis called Takis Watz that are now discontinued, i don't know if you can find them in the wild, but the little time i was aware of them, i found them at my local Seafood City (a South-East Asian Market). in my opinion, these went hard. were better than base form takis cause the puffs had this lightning bolt jagged look that retained more flavor in the crevasse of the bolt.

I got the Takis Pringles knock off once but because I live in the UK it was imported, i guess i misread the price because they wanted £6.80 ($8.68) for it . Also the Nuts with the crispy coating have been a thing in the UK for years pretty much every store here sells at least a sweet chilli version.
I always thought flavored sunflower seeds were weird because the flavour is on the outside, but I want the outside to be in my mouth as little as possible because the texture is unpleasantly splintery.
Maybe because I had them first, I still prefer the Fuego over all, and the blue ones next. IMO the blue ones have a similar flavor but with less seasoning and less sodium which I have to watch. But my real favorite chile limon munchie is Sabritones.

When I first tried the blue Takis I kind've expected them to have like a cooling menthol flavor on top of the spice. I thought they were going for a hot and cold thing with them but they just taste like regular Takis minus the lime. Also Takis used to make a Cheeto Puffs knock off called Watz and they were shaped like lightning bolts. I actually thought they were pretty good but I only ever saw them at my local Family Dollar and they stopped stocking them awhile ago. I assume they're discontinued now
I'm liking this specifically because you ate some of the takis and I want to reinforce bad behavior.

They used to have a delicious, super spicy cheese one called Cheese Xplosion i used to get at a local Dollar Tree, but they haven't had them for years. I was so disappointed when they came out with the Intense nacho, I thought they brought back the cheese xplosion one at first :(
the normal takis have always been my favorite, but when you buy a bag its always rng, I always love the bags that have a lot of the powder on them, but sometimes you open a bag and its only like a sprinkle so its like eating a bag of corn chips with a hint of flavor. but tbh when it comes to spicy flavors, its either go hard or I don't want it!

I don't work there any more because the company sadly is kinda goin' to shit and might even leave soon. I wondered if you could maybe do a "I eat Mod every day for a week"? theres tons of pizzas, salads, and pocket pies to choose from, but overall the menu isn't TOO exciting. If you need any other recommendations, there's older secret menu items too! I just wanna know your thoughts on the food.
