If i am not wrong its a tradition food of Tharu as well of Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari.....still i am remembering having Vakka with authentic taste at Bahuni market morang "Mama Ko Gaun".

I believe they more similar ethnic people, but difference is that they holds varieties of casteism such as Tharu, Dhimal, Majhi, Danuwar, Darai. They are genetically same people. They are from the DNA of Haplo O2 groups, who are Southeastern people on the globe. And did you know there are Rajbanshi Tharu too.
you reallly have the wrong concept about rajbanshi and tharu even they are genetically same people . Rajbanshi is drived from Bengoli culture and it has influence on rajbanshi culture as well in many terms
Vakka is bae since I was born in budhabare jhapa but had to shift to Kathmandu while I was 6. I go jhapa once a year and that's in dashain it's too hot there so they don't sell vakka in summer Now I know this place and I'll obviously visit because I'm a vakka fan since childhood. actually we do make too to make rice wine that is same process . we have a jatra so for the god we do make rice wine with that it has taste if u eat wish curd or sugar but it we eat as a prasad
