For those out there who watch Kamen Rider, Mackenyu is Kamen Rider Dark Drive in Kamen Rider Drive Surprise Future movie. Yup he play the antagonist role, the evil Rider (well his character is actually a bit twist between protagonist and antagonist in this film). He was still young in this film

@@SophieHanna-sn9hc I mean Mackenyu had pretty privilege but the only doors that were really opened to him bc of his father were martial arts training, living in LA near studios, and being wealthy. Being the son of Sonny Chiba meant nothing to the producers and directors of the short films and dramas that cast him when he was beginning his career. As Mackenyu started getting bigger roles, he was in teen drama, romances, slice of life, and other genres that were completely removed from anything Sonny Chiba influenced. It's quite a bit different from a star like Johnny Depp who had access to producers and directors of pretty much anything to get his daughter consideration for a role. Nepotism is kind of unavoidable imo and it's not really the kid's fault but the two cases are not even remotely similar.
