“Will it work? I don’t know. Am I going to do it? Yes” Story of my life. Not sure about the glow plug relay on that genny but I bet it would be an easy fix to put in a better simple delay relay.
Love the cold start hack with the steering wheel. I remember seeing you do it in another video with the farmall and thought, "what the heck is he doing".
What a fantastic video! Please make more cold starts and keep showing us what you do with the controls and pedals to get them started. Could watch these daily!
Cool tour...One observation and one suggestion. The observation is that I'm surprised that you don't use Ether more to reduce the work on the starters and batteries. The suggestion is in regard to the battery setup in the high lift. It appears that they are wired in parallel with the charge all going to one battery and then being shared with the second. Thus, the resistance of both of the jumpers to the farther battery is added to the internal resistance of that farther battery, therefore it always gets less charge. If you were to reverse the connections on one side of the pair of batteries, it would cause the resistance of the inter-connecton cables to be equally shared. In other words, one cable from the vehicle on each battery and one jumper on the opposite side. I enjoy watching you and Laura, thanks for sharing and more importantly, thanks for all you do to feed the rest of us! Best Regards, and Happy Holidays.
Best tour of the farm ever. Either is interesting. I had always been told not to use it in a diesel but to use WD 40. Then I was only dealing with small marine engines. Good to see you and the kids out doing what farm families do. Work together and hopefully have some fun at the same time.
Most common failure of starting motors is their continuous rotation upon a lengthly startup thus heat build up on the armature windings and premature wearing of the brushes. That said, your equipment appears to be in good shape and well looked after.
А почему у детей нет своих личных ножей? Тех ножей которыми можно резать не только хлеб и колбасу, но и защищаться. Нож ведь это не роскошь, а инструмент.
Cold stars always fun when you don't need the equipment right away...
Love the big bore sounds... I could do that all day long....
This is exactly what I did all day and I can't say I'm mad about it. Glad I could share with you guys.

Batteries and starter motors will really show their age and wear when it's cold.
