the mpc one can literally do EVERYTHING. There isnt a box at this price that can do what the one can do. Also work flow and ease matters, this things so easy to use. Its a synth, sampler, its got killer FX and they keep adding new ones. Check out the new touch FX one they just added to the one (standalone and software). I just did my entire album on it, mixed, mastered and recorded all vocals all in it... Standalone without touching the computer. Its kinda nuts really that you can do that. Ive heard to it revered to as "daw in a box" which is fitting.

@@MarkoKacanski It works nicely with USB-MIDI. You can see the devices by name which makes things a lot easier. I think you can also manually name 5-pin MIDI channels but I've not explored that yet because I've been focusing on sampling and audio tracks.

Thanks ! It's recorded directly from the MPC and slightly mastered after with computer (more handy). You can also do it with the MPC, using effects in the master channel (compressor, eq, saturator, limiter, etc) 😉

Hi ! There is actually 7 sequences/patterns coresponding to different parts of the track (intro, break, verse, ...) 😉 In the mute mode i'm muting instruments by pushing the pads (more handy that tactile screen)

Hello, I didn't practice a lot on the MPC but with almost 10 years of music production+live on differents hardwares + computers the main principles/theory/rules are the same on every music gear 😉 MPC is quite complete so you can enjoy from sound design to mixing 😁
Quick question. Is that just 2 bassline loops with the the 2nd loop having the filter opened more or do you have 2 separate bass sounds? 1 for lows and the other you're filtering. Thank you and thanks for this video. I don't see a lot of mpc techno videos.
Hello, I have a rumble bass, created from the kick & resampled (between 30-100hz) + a top bass more high in frequency (from 100 to 300hz) which is modulated in live with the knobs 😉

@@runners0000 yes, it's most common in the rap and hip hop scene.. Rapper often say it colloquial in their texts to pronounce, that their or some other track is a really good or big thing.. It would be a compliment for each rapper to hear that about an own track and even big magazines use that word in their titles.. but in other genres or scenes it's not that common to say. There are many people who wouldn't understand it, too. There is not much in the Internet about it, but some people even call a beautiful girl a "Brett", but that's again something I wouldn't use or understand. Edit: There is more, I would use Brett more for a hard pushing rap track, wich forces you to.. How do you say.. Bang your had? We say "Kopfnicken" for moving your head to the beat.. Maybe it's because a Brett is hard and some kind of knocky and rhythmic.. But I have no clue
Hello yes you can, but you are not as limited as the rytm regarding the pattern lenght, with the mpc you can almost do a pattern of 1hour lenght if you want 😅 some people are creating entire track or live within the same pattern

Hey ! Its a combination of self chosen samples processed + internal synth plugins from the MPC (bass, lead, arp). Still better to create your own samples but I can recommend classic drumachine sample packs, Riemann, Audioreakt (also amazing youtube charnel + producer) for ex 😉

Great video & Great techno jam - There are not so many vids out there that explain the power of MPC One for LIVE Performances - I have a question that hopefully you can answer - Can you record something on the fly like vocals with a mic or sounds from the line input (e.g. turntable), assign it to the pads, loop them and create a live jam as you do for example with the Kaoss Pad?
Thanks ! Yes you can perfectly do that. Go on the sampler/looper section to record your vocal and assign it to a pad. Then you can process it with effects on the pads, track and master and tweak them in live 😉 (you can assign them on the qlink also to access them quicker)

It's good to know that we can use it as a loop station and record samples on the fly because with the old MPCS you could not do that, you needed to have every sample stored in the hard drive. Why don't you create a video where you show how to sample on the fly with an external machine/source, add fx, and tweak it live? I am sure that a lot of people would love to see that!

I love seeing actual dj's do this stuff live. Most of the time when i go and see them, i expect this but what usually happens is they hit play on a pre recorded set up mix then they just pretend to turn a knob while dancing with a silly outfit on and girls around them. Occasionally il see a badass actually live mixing like this and i can instantly tell the difference. Anyways rant over, good job

Make a triplet in some DAW than export like wav and load into MPC😅

You can assign manually all the parameters you want in the Qlink edit section - program. Then you can tweak them on the go for live sessions 😉

A Dj usually plays songs to the crowd and mixes them together. What you mean is a "live act".
