      the mpc one can literally do EVERYTHING. There isnt a box at this price that can do what the one can do. Also work flow and ease matters, this things so easy to use. Its a synth, sampler, its got killer FX and they keep adding new ones. Check out the new touch FX one they just added to the one (standalone and software). I just did my entire album on it, mixed, mastered and recorded all vocals all in it... Standalone without touching the computer. Its kinda nuts really that you can do that. Ive heard to it revered to as "daw in a box" which is fitting.

      @@runners0000 yes, it's most common in the rap and hip hop scene.. Rapper often say it colloquial in their texts to pronounce, that their or some other track is a really good or big thing.. It would be a compliment for each rapper to hear that about an own track and even big magazines use that word in their titles.. but in other genres or scenes it's not that common to say. There are many people who wouldn't understand it, too. There is not much in the Internet about it, but some people even call a beautiful girl a "Brett", but that's again something I wouldn't use or understand.
      Edit: There is more, I would use Brett more for a hard pushing rap track, wich forces you to.. How do you say.. Bang your had? We say "Kopfnicken" for moving your head to the beat.. Maybe it's because a Brett is hard and some kind of knocky and rhythmic.. But I have no clue

Great video & Great techno jam - There are not so many vids out there that explain the power of MPC One for LIVE Performances - I have a question that hopefully you can answer - Can you record something on the fly like vocals with a mic or sounds from the line input (e.g. turntable), assign it to the pads, loop them and create a live jam as you do for example with the Kaoss Pad?

    • @vehilslive

      @@vehilslive Thank you for your response.
      I am considering buying it not only as an additional music production tool but also as the main element of my LIVE performance, as I am a beatboxer/producer. It's good to know that we can use it as a loop station and record samples on the fly because with the old MPCS you could not do that, you needed to have every sample stored in the hard drive.
      Why don't you create a video where you show how to sample on the fly with an external machine/source, add fx, and tweak it live?
      I am sure that a lot of people would love to see that!

      @@vehilslive I agree with @romo groove - a tutorial would be brilliant. After decades working in the "tape" paradigm of multitrackers and conventional DAWs I'm still learning what the MPC One can do.

    Are this standard sounds or self chosen samples? Can u recommend a good kit for techno ? Is there a special/practical mode for playing live?

    • @vehilslive
      @vehilslive  2 роки тому

      Hey ! Its a combination of self chosen samples processed + internal synth plugins from the MPC (bass, lead, arp). Still better to create your own samples but I can recommend classic drumachine sample packs, Riemann, Audioreakt (also amazing youtube charnel + producer) for ex 😉

    How long, from the time you bought/ started using your mpc, did it take you to learn how to navigate this to perform that??

    • @vehilslive
      @vehilslive  2 роки тому

      Something like 2 month, being used to different machines, workflows, DAWs + knowing basics of music & sound design theory helps to quiclly learn a new toy 😁

      @Vehils Live gotcha. Yeah, I've NEVER used any hardware or software.... at least not touched so much as a Boss Dr. Rythym and/or turntables for about 20+ years so....i guess the learning curve will be...
      Umm...a HAIRPIN?! LOL

    Is it possible to record this performance into the Mpc live as one Song in the moment you play it (like a arranger mode somehow)?

      Not to my knowledge ... you'll need external recorder or soundcard to do so

    Cette machine ainsi que la mpc live c’est pour faire de la compo. Pas adapté pour du live ! Pour preuve il fait rien! Il passe des séquences et joue seulement avec les effets. Je suis bien placé pour juger j’en procède une
