I almost feel sorry for straight guys when they first hear Dixon Dallas. It's basically the first era of history, although he's not the only one, where gay and bisexual men have a chance to hear music that validates our experiences in an accurate way. Many of us wouldn't have had quite such a difficult time growing up if we'd had this kind of music 30 or 40 years ago. I know straight people want to laugh and call it a joke since it will bother the bigots, but even though its profane in a way, it's important as an indication of societal development.
