ok so listened to like 6 of their covers, and deeply turned off by all the songs. stressed larynx, nasal, zero understanding of how to use his chest and belts. He has a voice for sure, but he has zero understanding how to use it.

I completely agree. I went to Juilard. You can hear and see he doesn't know how to project properly. He is straining his throat and laryx as you said dubayy. There is a very good voice hiding in that man. He doesn't know how to use it. Agreed
