He meant that the hardware isn't what determines how well the video is made. The idea and the representation determines it, not the equipment. But of course you still use the best video tools you can get to present the idea in a "higher resolution"

The S6 edge is mostly for visual purposes. The camera finally has auto image stabilization which is night and day between the Note 3 and 4. The new metal edges make it feel more premium over the Note 3's plastic edges and just has an overall better look and feel. Last but not least, the screen size. The S6 feels like a childs toy in my hands now that i've switched to larger phablets
