i wasn't here for the original Papyrus, but i have to say this entire segment in the desert is super nostalgic to me. my entire childhood i bounced from Morocco to Egypt and back to southern Italy so this build style feels super comfortable, cozy and familiar, like the long long summers of the hotter climates :) thank you for bringing this to us fWhip!!!

As you’ve not only made an entire new biome that’s I’ve not ever seen before on UA-cam, but 3 videos in a row you’ve mentioned a recurring pattern where the process leads to a result you didn’t expect. The color of the badlands trees led to a different biome then expected, you feel you didn’t make enough progress last episode and this episode you’re trying new things like custom acacia trees and amethyst for succulents.

Hey fWhip, very nice video as always, please keep going, your work is admirable!
In case you want to tackle your shulkermonster problem: there are "quite simpel" multi-item-sorting systems which allow you to throw a shulker full of random stuff into a hole and pretty much every item will get sorted, depending on what you want to be sorted, even mulitple items into one chest, which makes that kind of sorting system very attractive for emptying out shulkers full of e.g. stone/wood and their variations (stairs, slabs, etc). That way I have a chest each for the variations of e.g. every wood-type. It made my sorting system a lot more lag friendly, because I could sort half a chest full of different items into just one or two double chests (with the current "normal" sorting system, every item gets at least one double chest) and of course all my building processes were sped up, because just throwing a shulker into a hole made everything I need later pop up in its according chest.
In case you need help with the design/compartments/redstone/upgrades, just feel free to reach out (some changes to the redstone need to be done, if you want to extend it or make the design more appealing), I used the design by Beguatti, it was by far the easiest and cheapest out there :) (pls excuse my bad grammar, English is not my first language)

I know you are generally in a middle eastern style for this project, and the three sisters crops were grown in north America, but I think including some aspects from north American architecture and agriculture would be neat. To irrigate the fields, people in the Mojave area would use canals, but also put large stones in fields which water would condense on during cool nights, which I think is super cool!

Fwhip I've got a great idea. You need to plant a cactus field with maybe also the flowering cactus. Could even use some other blocks like different green terracotta for the cactus.

for the bed color, you should dye it in orange, in memorie of the mesa you've transformed in regular desert

The red plants COULD be Saffron flowers! They're very expensive and any good spice merchants would definitely have some!

I definitely like the small amethyst ornamentation. It feels very fitting for a fantasy desert, whether it's an odd species of succulent or some other special thing native to the desert!

I get a load of my own inspiration from this new area. For some world-building and scenery, it might be cool to have some salt harvesting fields since you're by the ocean, or a brick-drying field under the hot sun.

@fWhip you should totally use end stone and end stone blocks for some of your builds! It would go great with this desert theme!

I've added the Wandering Trades in my long term single player, and basically anytime he pops up I stop everything I'm doing to go buy everything he has. The mini blocks are so fun to use.

The new tree type reminds me of the Joshua tree. Which would be accurate as the Joshua thrives best in the desert. It's a very cool addition.

I literally LOVE fwhips videos so much that when they come out, I don’t want to watch it because then I won’t have a video to watch.
