Hope you enjoy today's episode in the hardcore Minecraft world!! Thanks for all the support on this little adventure, be sure to leave a like on this video!!
i wasn't here for the original Papyrus, but i have to say this entire segment in the desert is super nostalgic to me. my entire childhood i bounced from Morocco to Egypt and back to southern Italy so this build style feels super comfortable, cozy and familiar, like the long long summers of the hotter climates :) thank you for bringing this to us fWhip!!! (and ps, early gang once again! >:) )
For the cacti, I personally love the look of pink candles on top, versus the potted torch flowers. Looks a bit cleaner and more subtle. And you can put multiple on top for different variants.
Any chance of seeing a sphinx or Egyptian style temple with multiple tall statues, some cool desert ruins and/or a pyramid would look awesome in this world.
There will be statues and a temple of sorts but I'm trying to make my own things (drawing inspiration of course) instead of trying to recreate real world buildings so we'll see what happens! haha
That is fun to here and It will be cool to see something in your own style. I think I that it is really about the size and scale of how the real world monuments impose themselves on the landscape. some way to spice up the desert temples to fwhip standards will be incredible@@fWhip

Hey fWhip, I just wanted to say that I’ve been watching you for a while and I remember those days you were working on your original city, and I just wanted to say that while we don’t see it anymore it was truly an amazing thing to see, and also it gives me so much joy to see you working on a version 2.0 of it all! Just started watching this vid but I already know it’s gonna be a great one!
It looks amazing! As a certified person who lives in a desert, you should replace the cacti in the sanctuary with some rocks, dead bushes, sea pickles, and maybe some mangrove roots? that way you can keep the same feeling without killing the lovely camels :)
Maybe you could a potter’s house? Like you could incorporate the new decorative pots, flower pots, clay and mud, and probably use other combinations to look like glazed pots. It could be attached to a little shop kinda like that first desert build looked like, with the separate parts.
For over 2 years now I have worked on a desert project in my own world. These videos really help me to find new inspiration for things to add onto my desert city, I’m so glad you started this project!
I like the flora you used on the ridges, but I feel like it’s a bit too dense for a desert, even on the edge of an oasis like that. Still, fantastic choices with the small cacti and succulents!
Another solution is if he did the opposite of what he did in the video and have an "outside day" and block them off by the actual sanctuary and not allow them to get near the upper part. Could even keep a few in the stables.
That oasis looks really vibrant. Love the terracotta use in the builds, especially with mud/jungle wood. Crimson roots in that new field look like piles of saffron drying in the sun. F bed. Light blue next maybe?
Another incredible video!!! Hopefully the interiors are a lot more reasonable since the city is smaller and would add a lot more value since there are actual villagers in the village! Keep up the great work fwhip :)
Y’know I wasn’t super sure about the brown cliffs at first, but having them all in and decorated, they look really good! Super cool to see the vision come together. Also, o7 to the pink bed. Putting in my vote for a purple bed, that’s the color I always carry around haha
Loved the pacing in this one, felt a bit less rushed. Kinda slowing down to smell the flowers, shows how hard you really work so we can appreciate it that much more. Great work
Maybe adding in a fossil somewhere in the desert just like they did in the original Star Wars trilogy. Would be a cool little way to fill the big sand box full of sand that gets everywhere😉
the new tree design reminds me of the green palo verde trees in arizona! the beans are edible raw and can also be made into flour :) they’re a really cool tree with many different things u can forage from them
Gorgeous work, in the camel sanctuary you could use stacked melons to look like cactus that way they won't get stuck on them, it would also add a new green for you to use?
I’m really enjoying seeing this new build style with new papyrus! I can’t wait to see what the finished product will be when you’re done in the desert! If you put in some curved/leaning palm trees growing on or near the rocks it could provide more shade over the oasis and show why the pond hasn’t dried up. Also the pickle paddies you had in season 2 empires would be a great addition to the fields!
The red could be orchids for saffron. One of the most expensive (if not most expensive) cooking ingredients in the world. We love your videos. My children and I watch them all together.
I go on a Minecraft hiatus and come back to watch a fwhip video and OMG ITS THE SAME WORLD fwhip your motivation to continue this game is insane and everything that you build is awesome keep up the good work 👍🏾👍🏾
I love the oasis and general desert village. It looks so magical compared to the main city. Almost like the magic the city has try to build around but the desert town has built WITH it and used its magic to create things like the oasis. I love it so much
This project definitely seems to be all about Experimentation. As you’ve not only made an entire new biome that’s I’ve not ever seen before on UA-cam, but 3 videos in a row you’ve mentioned a recurring pattern where the process leads to a result you didn’t expect. The color of the badlands trees led to a different biome then expected, you feel you didn’t make enough progress last episode and this episode you’re trying new things like custom acacia trees and amethyst for succulents.
@@fWhip I couldn’t agree more, it’s fun to see you expand the world in fun and new ways!! And in such a short amount of time, I’m looking forward to the next video as always Fwhip🙃
Hi Fwhip, I among many get cheered up immensely by your videos, especially now that my cat has cancer and my grandmother dementia, and studying for a standardized test. If these videos are a tonic for me, I'm sure many more have been at least temporarily relieved from burdens far worse than mine. 7:53 who got the reference?
I feel like with the amethysts and cactUses etc, I think it could look cool if the amethyst are much more sparse and everything it a little less clustered but either way it looks awesome!!
The crimson root reminds me of saffron, which is usually harvested in the middle east and has to be harvested by hand, which is why it is so expensive.
Really cool. I think that you can use player heads for coconuts and for flowers on cacti and trees though. also maybe put some "barrels" out of trapdoors to make spice containers for the "red spice"
I love how he says “let’s go to the lumber mill” and not I’m going to go the the storage room it just makes his videos stand out so much more. Also so glad to see Papyrus being reborn as New papyrus as I’ve seen the original one being built and have loved all this man’s series!
I think a really fun village idea for the desert is a village built on stilts on and around a large part of the river. Maybe were the river meets the ocean.
Hey fWhip, very nice video as always, please keep going, your work is admirable! In case you want to tackle your shulkermonster problem: there are "quite simpel" multi-item-sorting systems which allow you to throw a shulker full of random stuff into a hole and pretty much every item will get sorted, depending on what you want to be sorted, even mulitple items into one chest, which makes that kind of sorting system very attractive for emptying out shulkers full of e.g. stone/wood and their variations (stairs, slabs, etc). That way I have a chest each for the variations of e.g. every wood-type. It made my sorting system a lot more lag friendly, because I could sort half a chest full of different items into just one or two double chests (with the current "normal" sorting system, every item gets at least one double chest) and of course all my building processes were sped up, because just throwing a shulker into a hole made everything I need later pop up in its according chest. In case you need help with the design/compartments/redstone/upgrades, just feel free to reach out (some changes to the redstone need to be done, if you want to extend it or make the design more appealing), I used the design by Beguatti, it was by far the easiest and cheapest out there :) (pls excuse my bad grammar, English is not my first language)
I know they’re super annoying (and you’ve talked about it before.) But I think it would be really cool if the village was alive. Like actually making an area with a bell so they gather, workstations for everyone, the whole thing! It would add some life, even if impractical!
Amazing job, I hope this goes viral. I really like the amethyst and sea pickle vegetation on the ground. It really does look like a desert and I’ve ever seen that done before. Great job, as always, fWhip.
