That was one of my family’s favorites. We talk about that ride all of the time and have some really funny memories from it. They have one just like it at Dorney Park now.
In all my trips to Great Adventure I've never been to the Best Of The West restaurant. Never even gave it a thought. My spot is usually Panda Express. But I saw another video showcasing Best Of The West and I loved the seating area overlooking the lake and the featured meal was chicken skewers which looked delicious. So next trip on Labor Day weekend I will definitely try that restaurant, coz your pulled pork sandwich looked good too.
Yeah, Panda Express would’ve been my go to in the past as well, but now that it is a Six Flags restaurant the quality really suffered (in my opinion). It was a great sandwich and the indoor and outdoor seating options were fantastic too. Much quieter over there. Definitely worth it!
I worked there during the summer of 1992. Still think fondly of BotW. Great food, fun atmosphere, and kitschy decor. I was a fan of the chicken platter (donthey still have that?)... and we used to toss bits of burger buns into the lake to get the huge turtles to come around for the tourists to take pictures!
I think there was mac n cheese and potato salad, but I’ll need to double check. If I could do it over again, I would’ve just gotten 3 pieces of corn bread lol
really hope this opens this year
Fav. place to eat. Even just for the atmosphere.
my dad used to work ther in the 1980s
That’s really neat! What does he miss the most from Six Flags in the 80s?
@@GreatAdventureGuide he misses the freefall ride

3:46 just called me out 😂. Exactly what I did at the park
Lol, hey, you gotta do what you gotta do!
Love the video! You're so good in front of the camera! You look a little bit like Chris Pratt too 😁
Appreciate it!

That's really cool! No chicken platter right now... only chicken fingers, but it might be a reduced menu right now due to Covid.
900 subs 🎉🎉🎉
Do you know what the other options for sides are?0
