my personal combo: just the Retaliator barrel and stock, 18 round magazine, and a homemade flashlight attachment I keep it simple.
and you said it wouldn't take 18 round mags but mine does
The original recon mkII won't, the new mkII will (no, the original isn't the mkII, they made a slight alteration to the mag well, after they found out that it wouldn't take 18s, so there are technically 2 mkIIs) the problem was never with the retaliator.

I've had a cold/sore throat for about two weeks straight. I tried to hold off recording videos until it cleared up, but I ran out of time. This is why my voice sounds odd.

I got a part for interlocking the tactical rails and super glued a hunting scope to a modified longstrike I could shoot from like 190 or so feet away so there was no issue sniping idiots running in open fields behind my house.

Personal Combo (which I made today):
Barrel: Barrelstrike.
Side Rail: Ionfire Dart Holder.
Top Rail: Long Range Scope.
Stock: Recon Stock.
Mag: 6-Round.
The barrel strike and ionfire dart holder attachments in your setup are actually really smart, because both of them hold exactly 4 bullets.

The newer Recon MKII can accept all the mags.
I use the Recon MK2 with raider 35 round drum, proximity barrel attachment, red dot sight (top rail on the slide, impractical but looks awesome),and the missile launcher from the Tri Strike (side rail for the launch tube).
Coop is ready for everything

Don't use an attachment on the top of retaliators or recon mark 2 because when I was priming it hurt my finger

My combo: the stock it comes with (because I'm little and it fits me), long range kit barrel, and a 12-round mag.
You can also use the shield to block zombies as well
The sniper camo scope is not custom as I have one too

It's a nerf rebelle flashlight. He uses it in other combos videos.

It's a rebelle blaster attachment that decodes darts
Try doing Nerf Combos | Makeshift Attachments where you must use rubber bands and cable ties to put on off-brand flashlights and put a tp roll as a barrel attachments and such.

you could try sanding down the bump. I'm not sure if that would affect the latching with other guns, but it's an idea.

Flywheels are rubbish. Slow ROF, needs batteries and they take longer time to mod.
if you think flywheels suck, it means you havent ever used them with mods. also, slow ROF? what the hell are you smoking bro?
Slamfire is faster. Also, a springer with mods is nearly always better than a flywheel with mods.
slamfire is incredibly inaccurate, and puts strain on your arm from pumping it too hard (giggity) and a modified stryfe can shoot faster than an EAT or rampage especially if you finger bang it. plus a modded rapidstrike shoots way faster than slamfire if you mod it right.

My favorite barrel extension is the ion fire on because it isn't long enough to slow down darts, it looks cool, and it is tacticool as f$&@k.

For some reason in the UK the recon MK2 can take in 10-round banana mags,25-drum mag and 35-drum mag

lol for my homemade flashlight I mounted it on the recon flip-up bomber sight thing(I took off the sight part and ziptied it on)
The new recon lets you use all mags, that is a gen 1 but the gen 2 doesn't have the bump on the inside of the mag well.
You should do a nerf combos with One of your integration blasters you pick stay tacti-cool
My personal combo would be the Recon Mk.II base gun with the attachments from the first Recon CS-6.

You can fit a 18 round clear magazine in the Recon MK2 mine accepts them so yours should too.
I love this gun.(other than the Rival line,it is my favorite Nerf gun.)I am small so I think it would fit me perfectly.

that combo is how i roll with my original recon the stampede stock,modulus scope,and the spectre barrel attachment

I do use an 18 round mag for this blaster. Sadly, I had to file the bump on it down for it to work.
you can actually put the banana mag in the reskin for the Retaliator because if you flip it backwards but keep the ammo straight and way it normally would and just jam it in there it'll actually work so yeah surprise surprise goodbye
