I'm going to purchase this kit for my N scale layout. I've been checking out other videos to get ideas for paint schemes. While most seem to go for the bright, almost garish, paint schemes, you went for something with color but more subdued and normal. I like the front in various brick and trim colors to accent the "different" store theme which I will probably emulate. I like that the same (or similar) paint was used on all the concrete parts. I will go with a basic brick color on the rear and right side as cheaper bricks were used on hidden areas and sides. Thanks for sharing. Good job.
I have one of those started with the initial painting of each store. Going to take awhile to paint all of the windows. Also plan to put a black foam board wall between each store as a light blocker.
Nice job. I've been thinking of picking this kit up. Glad to hear it's an easy build. I have merchants row 2 already so I'd like to add to it as well. Thx for sharing
I’ll have to try these. I’m in England, and these Walther’s kits fit in well with early 20th century British townscapes, they simply need different colouring of the brickwork to suit the location of Britain.
I have that as well. I didn't do as extravagant a paint job on it though; just some grayish-white highlights on the top and along some of the store fronts to make it resemble a couple sets of old buildings on Main St. in my hometown.
I really like what you did! My old neighborhood could use a tiny business district like this along catoma street. Thank you so much! Could you send me a picture of the updated and finished product?

Looks fantastic!
They are easy to assemble but as you said fun to paint. I was going to pickup all them up but decided not to since I don't have the room for all them.
I don't really have room for them either... I just really enjoy this part of the hobby...
How did you paint the bricks?
Does this come with “Comics & Books” like the N- scale version?
