@@kryten88 Not fully deathcore, but if you listened to their interview, they mentioned that they started off as a slam band, inspired by bands like Devourment. Later they took a different direction, more deathcore inspire route. I like this song more because it goes back to their roots in a way, just a personal preference.

@@michaelschaaf3619 read up any metal outlet that has band database. Even Wikipedia states they're deathcore. Metal Archives, the most trusted source of band information, or at least one of them. They certainly marketed themselves as deathcore for quite a while now. Or you could simply listen to their track "You'll Never Learn" from Ashes Lie Still. Instantly you'll hear deathcore's signature diminished chords, straight from the beginning of the track. Talk about blasphemy, lol. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Not that I dislike deathcore, mind you. I just think slam is better.

That opening melodic part gets me every time.
15+ years of slamming chugging goodness and yet they still come out with more and bless us with this beauty...AND they even managed to reintegrate the early vocal style and simpler grooves that i LOVE and MISS but with more melody on top too...holy shit this band is a powerhouse of Metal
