Watch twice, listen, and then try listening and writing down what you hear at the same time. Not for the whole video, just for the first minute or so. Then watch the video again and correct your spellings. I have been doing this twice a week since March 2021. You know what? It works! Thanks Bob!
Until today I have not seen an English teacher like you with your qualities and dedication, it shows that you do it with pure heart a million thank you
Hi uncle Bob! I use your videos in many ways, specially with the short English lessons, I watch the new viedo one time and then let run the longest play list you have (about 600 videos) usually while I'm doing the dishes Sometimes I change the speed of the videos and shadow what you are saying. When I got bored, I randomized the list and refresh the old lessons
your videos are very practical especially when you walk around your farm and mention many tips and teach many expressions and words .i screen record your videos and then i go through it and note the points.since i have 3 children and i m housewife so even when I’m doing some chores i listen your videos. my ten year-old girl enjoys your videos .she has been learning english for 3years.we are really glad to have teacher like you.
Teacher Bob,you have a good analysis of learning english .😃👍 To be honest,I didn't know what your talking about at the beginnig because I'm not good at english .But after a period of time,I'm not only understand your lesson but also improve my english listening skill. I am really thankful for your lesson.😊💐🎁Thank you Bob.
I always wonder, why are your videos so easy to understand? It seems that you include all the clues that possible - you clear pronunciation, your gestures during the videos and those visuals like short animations or pictures - all these parts are really make audio perception simplier. Thanks to you I led myself to this. As always, I appreciate your job and even though your videos are not challenging for me as they used to be, I still watch and enjoy them! And the bulk of my progress is thank to you!
Got it now, in fact I've been applying this method and currently i can understand a lot of things in english even though it's faster. I study by books on UA-cam and i do shadow's technique to delevope my skills in this language. Then i imagine the situation in my mind.. this is unbelievable because day by day i pick up more and more informations from english! Thanks Bob, I'll learn even more here

Firstly, you have to watch the video with subtitles on. Secondly, watch the same video again, but this time turn off the subtitles. Finally, you need to try to listen to the video. However, this time you don't need to watch it.
At the beginning, I used to listen to you three or five times in a row. Now, twice but always imitating you. Then I was writing what you said. Repeating, writing and listening to what is said are a good way to make progress in English. Thanks Bob
Your lesson is like a helping aid to learn English - we should leave it once out but I think it will be hard if I have internet. You are such a great teacher, I just would listen your lessons on and on.
Hi Bob, how to distinguish between can & can't in conversation? The pronunciation of these two words is so alike. I find it hard to tell them apart. Hope you can make a video talk about this. Thank you!
It might be a bit too late. I use the repeat button on the DVD player remote to create A~B loops on chunks of continuous dialogs for in-depth learning. This method is great fun on action scenes from beginning to end.
Thanks Teacher Bob for this video Lesson!!!Can we use the word:"descriptive" when someone use his hands in order to speak to another person or to many people? He is really descriptive for example...

your analogy with training wheels is fantastic. I still , even though I am a proficient english speaker , still need Eng subtitles to follow Netflix shows sometimes...just because Eng is not a phonetic language.... what do u think of my remark?

Here is a tip to try to scape the "boring situation" of repeating the same video for three times in a row. Instead of watching the same video, I try to train the vocabulary during the video, as much as I can (rewinding, pausing, etc), and then, going to other videos. I never watch more than enough time a single video. If I watched and think I got the content, I just jump to another content, that is the secret. And inevitably, before you perceive, you're going to see that the words that you've learned some minutes ago are going to pop up in front of you many times as you watch other contents. That is my technique to practice, without the "boring repetition experience part".
