I can understand why memory crypts can't have threat music considering that the level of danger there jumps from 0 to a 100 in an instant - but I can imagine the horror of the music picking up when there's nowhere near to hide
That'd be the style of adaptive music, actually. There would be different layers to the song, thus forming a unique blend of tracks that are played in unison according to the level of danger you're in. Games that use these concepts well are Celeste (Summit and Ressurections are good tracks to start in that game), Kid Icarus Uprising, and Fire Emblem. Seeing something like it implemented in a Rain World mod would definitely add to the immersion, though..
@@Duskdevatabyss The music is already adaptive in it's own way, adding that style of adaptive music is entirely unnecessary and would only work for very specific scenarios that wouldn't be threat themes, I get the idea though it's fascinating to think about
The miros birds are approaching. There are no flashbangs. The rain is almost there. There are no tunnels to escape to. Just then, you see that the entrance to The Leg is near. But it's too late.
That's just what the threat theme does, I did play with this song in game though and it goes from kick and hi hats to full blown song in less than a second when they get close to you, it's awesome
@roastedandtoasted187 I mean as in the threat theme changes based off of the distance from you and the Miros Birds, with most of the stems of the track playing as the Miros birds are on the same screen as you, and the whole track playing when they take notice and try to attack you.
First of all I spend very little time on these drawings and I think they're terrible, so I'm actually really glad you enjoy them. And second of all I use Clip Studio Paint to make all of my drawings :]
(very very minor rivulet spoilers) I feel like Rivulet's version of memory crypts would make more sense to have a threat theme, but if it did, something else might be more fitting. I love this song
How did you create that sound at 1:40? (the thing that sounds like the outskirts wawa) im trying to make something and that sound would work great but i have no idea how to make something like it

The lead synth in this one just blows my mind. I can only imagine how exhilarating it'd be to hear this with 5 miros birds chasing after you
I recently was fortunate to have that experience: positively EPICC
Just have no threat music, this just always plays
This song is amazing!! And ive learned of a new game because of it!
you have no idea what the fans of Rain World will do for more content...

I think it would be cool if Memory Crypts had a threat theme that would change based off of how close the Miros Birds are as they're appoaching you.
