I have some recommendations!
•You can use Rodger for a short time, and then use other quick, good toons, and try to get the masterys of which you want, and then use Rodger a little more don't use it often.
•Try starting with the Pebble! He's a great main (not much to extract, but you're not forced to distract with him.) he's good to start with, and then try testing slower toons (minus Shirimpo) to try to get used to Vee (I have her, I never get used to speed) so don't just use the mains, the regular toons are great too!
•So, the last tip, as he/she said in the video, try to buy as much of Dandy to come up with mains (if your problem is with Research, like the first one) then buy more good stuff, if your toon is fast use it with a Teagan bag, it's not that difficult to research her!

Another thing if ur maining Rodger to get vee u should spend a little more time with Rodger then Brightney so u can get used to 2 star movement speed then move up to faster toons if you like their playstyle more.

i'm pretty sure qwelver said in the discord that buying increases main chances after floor 6 because if you keep buying, the chance for dandy decreases so mains have more chance

Another Tip Is Just to Not Hunt for Mains On Another Twisted Day Beside Mains, Because They Rarely Spawn, Instead You Should Patiently Wait for a Main Character Day!

I also recommend doing rodger solos incase a main appears, thats how i got the last 2 encounters i needed to get vee, both on floor 5
EDIT: also if your team has a lot of fast extractors, reaching high floors easily, you def gonna expect a main floor 5. I joined some of these type of runs and i always got a main floor 5, i also got shelly, vee and shelly again for 3 floors straight with my team

@@nicoleharding1473 clown horn and ribbon spool, which gives you more speed, or either pink bow and wrench/veemote, which lets you do machines that are more open in the wild, while still getting some speed

Buying probably increases the main chance because dandy is happy you bought and is giving you mains
dandy gave me mains because i said "Dandicus, i'm not buying your items" "Trash stuff" "you will not steal my tapes" : )
oh i thought he gives you mains when he's fed up with you because you know that your gonna die
no but it keeps the main change, so it doesn't decrease
But if you had much player at floor 10+(it can be 5+) it will increase main change bc qwel said the more player in run the more run will be harder

this is crazy honestly. i got pebble on floor 5 and survived (i was alone btw)
and on floor 12 one run, we had pebble, sprout, and dandy, during blackout and had to do 9 machines. i had 1 heart and was playing as cosmo so skillcheck sucked lmao. spoiler: died to sprout and only got 2 research on sprout that round
Another fun fact:
Some ppl might think not having the best team is ok in main hunts
More ppl = harder and what teh game considers hard are mains so js make sure there’s 1-2 healers and a distractor in the run! (Or if no healer but a distractor give the heals to them)

Tips help u to get to floor 20: use brightney or toodles and teagan cuz they have the same skillcheck and movement speed trinkets u needed: speedy shoes and wrench items u needed: bottel o pop or protien bar

Buying from dandy DECREASES chances of mains spawning confirmed by Qwel herself
in my experience, when everyone dies except me, there will be high chance that the next floor have main twisted, and the toon you use also can affect main twisted spawn chance I think so, since when I use toodles I got pebble on floor 5 and 6, this is my opinion, so if it don't work on you probably it's just a coincidence
In my opinion distracting for a team is also a good way of getting research because the twisteds always chases you every floor
Thinking back to that time I had both Dandy and Astro on the same floor. In a blackout.
Then POPPY killed me.
I recommend using the bow trinket! It increases walk speed by 7.5%
The myth that buying from dandy helps mains spawn was confirmed by qwelver to be false
I recommend you join a pro run if there is one, the twisteds are much harder when you have pro’s and you’re more likely to make it to floor 20+ but this is from my experience!
I do agree that playing as a starter toon increases chances of getting Main Toons faster! I was playing Toodles once and got Shelly 2 floors in a row and then Pebble right after!!
Fun fact: when using rodger say sonshin it increases main changes and if you see dandy sell smth good that means there will be a main spawning
I also recommend being brightney she also increases main chance
erm actually, none of the tips to increase is real, main chance increases every 5 floors

Step 2. Wait for the twisted toon you want

Now one thing a wanna say, is that when I buy from dandy, I barely get any mains. But when doing a dandy run(where you don’t buy) I got pebble one time, vee and Astro twice. And vee in a blackout.
Now this is just for me, but if you don’t buy or do buy. It doesn’t increase the chances of a main.
The only thing that increases the chances of mains is on what floor your on.
Which is why the earliest floor mains spawn on is floor 5.
And also, some people say buying from dandy makes him happy and he wants to give you mains.
But my theory is that if you don’t buy from dandy he gets mad, and he’ll try to send mains to kill you.

To clarify, buying from dandy doesn’t increase main chance, but it keeps it stable because if you don’t buy from him, twisted dandy has a chance to spawn which lowers the chance of other main twisters so it can all be equal. So it really is just a truth oversimplified into a lie.

Crazy, i was playing with my bestfriend duo, and we both got sprout on 5th floor, thr next run i died on 4th floor and on 5th floor there was shelly then after that we were playing in a team we got bobette on 5th floor😭
i was playing solo as toodles today and somehow got vee on floor 5 lol
btw does encountering the same twisted in the same floor give you more research or does it stick to just 3% (6% for rodger) only?
I played as toodles and got pebble on floor 5(I didn’t get hit by him but he killed as asstro
For every Twisted present, 2 research capsules spawn for that Twisted (1% each) and your first encounter (Being spotted) gives 5%. Getting all of this is considered a perfect encounter. A normal Toon needs 15 perfect encounters to get to 100% research. Most people tell you to use Rodger because his passive ability Detective doubles the research you earn from 7% to 14% on a perfect encounter, which means that you only need 8 perfect encounters.

For y’all saying “buy from dandy it increases odds” I’m pretty sure I was playing A dandy run & got a main only floor (it was Cosmo & Shelly) (it maybe been a main run but then again most people still wouldn’t buy from the shop cuz dandy lives in a dumpster like the [ BIG SHOT ] he is )
It only TECHNICALLY works to stop dandy from appearing & taking a chance for another twisted but other than that buying from dandy won’t boost your odds

Tips & tricks: buying from dandy may help increase the chance of mains but it’s only a myth, if you don’t buy from dandy at up to floor six then it increases your chance to get twisted dandy, dandy will progressively get sadder or madder if you don’t buy, on floor six he’ll get so mad that he becomes a twisted, some of the following toons that may help are: goob brightney Tisha and Rodger: please suggest any more in the replies! I may have missed some but I am only recommending four at this time. Some people like to summon mains in the elevator ridiculously or not for example; trying to summon Astro: RAVIOLI RAVIOLI PLEASE GIVE US ASTRIOLI or serious ones such as “Astro please come” or other such things.please do not be mean or start fights in the replies as I will be embarrassed that I started a mess.. THANKS FOR READING IF YOU EVEN TOOK TIME OUT OF YOUR DAY TO READ THIS BYE
Buying from the shop indirectly increases main chance as dandy takes up a main slot and on floors with no chance of getting a double main, you’ll always just end up getting dandy if you don’t buy. If you want a main that you can PLAY as (Vee, shelly, astro, pebble, sprout) buy from the shop, it will technically increase main chance if you could call it that..!
I have a tip, if you want sprout I recommend not buying from dandy!! It was floor 6 I got sprout then again on floor 9. Then on floor 10 again!! It was awesome! If you don’t wanna see the obese flower tho I reccomened buying right floor 9 or when he is very angry
I feel like playing with Mains also increase your chances of getting that main toon twisted. Might just be me but one instance I was playing with 2 pebbles and got twisted pebble twice in a row on floor 6-7.

Yes. Buying from the shop just makes the main chance not decrease because the main chance gets replaced by the dandy chance I think
true, but buying from dandy increases twisted counts and 3 twisteds on floor 10-9 maybe, and the more twisteds mean more mains so buying from dandy can help you
@@Sh3lly-98No it doesn’t. Getting to higher floors and the amount of alive toons (Sometimes.) increases Twisted count. Dandy’s Store does not affect the amount of Twisteds that spawn.
Buying does not increase main chance, Qwel was thinking of adding it but never did.
But its still smart to use Dandy Shop so his 10% chance doesn't fight with the Main chances, since he lowers all the other twisted chances (execpt common) to add himself in the mix.

Full tip: buying increases main chance so make sure you’re not a distract or toons and use purse and fancy purse or any of them make sure no Rodger and full team of 8 also buy it on floor 5 or floor. 5+ there’s 0% chance that mains sawn in floor 1 2 3 and 4

I also heard if you encountered the same twisted 8 times (on different floors obviously) you will reach 100% research easily due to Rodger and his ability
Step 1: Grind with Rodger until you die out of old age
Step 2: Use scripts to get the characters
Step 3: Just grind alone
(I would recommend for people who social anxiety)

Twisteds with small attention span
Distracting slow twisteds while also distracting fast twisteds
Toons getting in the way
Getting stuck in a wall
I did a starter friendly run once - pebble and Shelly spawned on the same floor on blackout

For some reason I was playing as Tisha and I would see Shelly twice a day
Pebble can also help cuz it shows the capsules location hope this helped
