I totally can relate to sleeping alone at night and having to talk myself off the ledge!!! I do get it!! Interesting that was at showers lake as I had a similar experience sleeping in that area. Great job on making it to Star lake!
Another beautiful day on trail! Curious what spooked you awake the previous night. Was it a noise or just a fear that woke you up? I have jist recently started backpacking solo and some nights I sleep like a baby and some nights every little sound sends fear up my spine. No rhyme or reason to it.
Tbh, I’m not sure! I tend to wake up every time I need to adjust so I think it wasn’t anything in particular just the ‘normal’ fears. I’m really trying to work on letting them go.
Great video as always. How was cell service in the trail? The bears are different up there for sure. In the big rv campgrounds on the West side of the lake, the bears will come sit at your table if you're eating. They don't run off much. What's the next hike? I'm doing the Lost Coast trail next year. I live by Yosemite so I'm going to be doing a few more hikes up there this year.
lol, I totally have a visual of a bear enjoying a meal with a family at a picnic table now. Cell service was better than expected on the east side of the lake and not very good at all on the west side. I’m already itching to get back out. The Lost Coast Trail sounds amazing, enjoy!
Yes! I talked to her about that. She was back from that trip when we met, her videos are delayed. I would love to attempt something like that. They are amazing!
