Ironically that scene I remember vividly from when it aired over 20 years ago. I was a kid then and me and my brother and sister watched this episode when it aired, I remember being shocked at that scene.

Didn't work out that way. Executive meddling can be a bitch.

Ya got one upper middle class kid from a wholesome family that is constantly talking about values like hard work and being accountable for your actions, who is faithful and loyal to one woman his entire life (with the exception of the ski trip incident) and emphasized waiting to have sex until marriage. Then on the other hand, theres an underpriveleged white kid that grows up in poverty with absent parents and through a lot of struggles and hard work, manages to get himself into college and create a future for himself. Woke hollywood would never allow either one of those stories to be told these days.

The relationship between Shawn and Mr. Turner was so natural. Girl Meets World forced the relationship between Shawn and Maya, and it almost came off creepy to me...I don't know I think that was the issue with Girl Meets World, everything in it, the life lessons, the relationships, it all seemed forced and unnatural. BMW just flowed, and that is why it was so successful because people could relate to it.

By time 2012 rolled around I knew a hanfful of childhood friends who had kids and one or two weren't planned and the others were maybe just born by 32 year olds or so. World os so dam expensive. My friend makes over 100,000 k a year and so does his wife and they couldn't afford having two kids until around 2015 living in NYC and they moved anyway. So now your saying Cory and Topanga can pick up and leave, have Rowan in like 1999 say and still manage? You could tell Cory's parents on BWM were late 30's when the show started. That was realistic for the early 90's.
Maya and Shawn are perfect for each other. Their lives are so alike, and their personalities are practically the same. Plus, Shawn is my favorite from BMW, and Maya is my favorite from GMW

There was a small one in the series finale, but all it did is make me wish we had gotten more of them together. It would have been nice to have gotten one scene of them having a conversation in addition to the group scene we got.
Before I watched Boy Meets World I never realized the importance of Turner, Angela, Josh, Eric, and Feeny but now that I have I love the shoes even more.
I didn't really watch Boy Meets World a lot growing up, just re-runs when i was little. I am 19 now and seeing this video got ME emotional, both Boy and Girl Meets World can hit home emotionally regardless of how old you are and which one you watch. I saw this video and genuinely almost cried it is so beautiful.

N Wolff I haven’t properly seen GMW,mostly because I’m in my mid 30s and don’t watch Disney channel. I used to love BMW, it was funny and very raw and real which meant relatable to teens. In today’s climate you have to be very PC and make sure not hit a nerve with anyone sadly so most new shows will suck,especially those geared at kids and ON a kids channel where they have to be very child friendly but also play in to today’s time that is slowly taking away free speech and focusing on what offends people. Every and any small thing can potentially offend someone. Wish people had thicker skins but today kids are turning out soft after college.
Way too much. Trying to develop Riley and Maya like Shawn and Cory, but also developing Auggie and Ava, then developing Zane Lucas and Farkle, then Smackle. Then brings Shawn in just for 7 episodes just to get him a happy ending by marrying someone he barely knows. Brings in Eric with his own few episodes. Gives Maya’s mom some character development episodes. A lot of things happening at once and doesn’t feel smoothly at all. Then makes Riley and Maya usually have a happy ending not really learning any actual lessons because usually something good happens in the end which is why Riley has so much faith in the world. Cory has faith in the world in boy meets world, but he didn’t always get a happy ending which made it seem real. Shawn was the one who let Angela go, but they switched it up with he was left by her for no reason. Lot of stuff happened in the show made no sense. But it was cool Harley was in there but Harley was never a close friend to Cory or Topanga. Mr. Feeny was barely in the show and never in flashbacks so it was weird they made him seem important in the end when the new audience doesn’t know anything about him, they didn’t show a single flashback with him in it.

Try 50 year olds! BMW was Friday night date night material when I would go up to visit my boyfriend (now hubby for 22 years), and we would share a pizza and catch up on the week.
This is reality TV. Not the BS that’s out there. I grew up with these guys. I was a little younger than the characters but i definitely used a lot of the shows learning points throughout my early adulthood. This new generation needs a show like this so they can learn a thing or two about real life and social skills.
I wasntbs huge fan if this show but i loved their bond.They just showed season 1 in Malaysia and then zhowed the rest on Cable..when i had Cable it was alreaddy final season..too bad i would have loved it in the 90s..hope they show it on Netflix
This may be a bit off topic, but I realize this show reflects that you don’t just learn about the word through good teachers such as George Feeny. Corey wasn’t a good student or even a bad kid even though he was always resistant in the show, but through his good nature he always tried to learn and took each lesson in as best as he could.

I only recently found this video like within the past 6 months. I was a bit too young with BMW first started airing and caught it when it was rerunning on ABC family and Disney. And did fall in love with it. ( I was like 16-18 at the time and was watching the later seasons. ) But I just went back recently to rewatch he series. I feel like they did Mr. Turner dirty. They wrote him out like that. I know the custody thing was a stretch... but it felt so... off putting... Watching Chet just come back and Shawn moving back in with him.... I get that's his real father... but Turner did so much for Shawn... And he loved him. And then the accident... And he just never came back... he was mentioned as a passing gag with Minkus about being on the 'other side of the school' the side we never see... but that was it... Shawn went through hell and honestly out of all of the characters I loved his the most. Not because he was the bad boy, but he was complex, and there were so many more layers to him compared to Cory... I know that was probably the point. But any way... Mr. Turner I felt was done dirty. And I'm not sure if that whole story line was done because of a contract or dispute ... something behind the scenes... But they could have done so much more... and so much better...

Props to Rider Strong he successfully played Shawn Hunter o e of the most emotionally complex, hurt, and tormented characters I've seen portrayed on screen, his evolution from just some rebellious kid to a loving husband and a better father than Maya's biological one could ever hope to be at least to her.
Shawn really did have some good father figures in his life. John, Alan, Feeny... even his own dad, Chet, while he wasn't a great dad, tried and in the end proved he loved him.
Its a fact that Shawn had all that family the entire time. Turner, the Matthew's, Feeney and actually brother and dad because they never gave up on shawn ever. Period. And thats what a family does, they stick by Each other
I've never been much of a crier, but certain scenes with these two characters and certain scenes in Fresh Prince have brought me real close to breaking ever time I've seen them.

Unfortunately there were very few guests at the wedding. It was just Cory, Topanga, Riley, Auggie, and that little brat Ava. On top of that, Mr. Feeny officiated Shawn and Katy's wedding. No Turner, no Eric, no Jack, no Angela, no Alan and Amy, no nobody but the people I mentioned earlier. Believe me, I too was disappointed.
only my generation of ppl can understand this video. how deep it truly is. How deep and dramatic yet comedically genius this show was. Now that i have little nephews of my own im glad these guys got together to bring the values of family, teachers, education, and friendship back to TV. I love how Shawn adopts Maya in the final episode. GMW really is the best continuation of this show ever made! Truly hope that fan fiction does even better now that we’ve got all we’re going to get from the OG writing and cast.

This is reality TV. Not the BS that’s out there. I grew up with these guys. I was a little younger than the characters but i definitely used a lot of the shows learning points throughout my early adulthood. This new generation needs a show like this so they can learn a thing or two about real life and social skills.

This may be a bit off topic, but I realize this show reflects that you don’t just learn about the word through good teachers such as George Feeny. Corey wasn’t a good student or even a bad kid even though he was always resistant in the show, but through his good nature he always tried to learn and took each lesson in as best as he could.
now, get that boy meets world is supposed to be one of those goofy 90's shows, but there are some episodes that make me cry
Beautiful video! I love both shows so much!!! I was just like Cory growing up, but had a very good friend who was just like Shawn! Such wonderful characters- Cory, Eric, Tommy, Morgan, the elder Matthewses (Amy and Alan), Shawn, Tapanga, Angela, Rachel, Mr. Feeney, Mr. Turner, Riley, Maya, the Minkuses, Chet Hunter, Josh, Jack, Katy, Lucas, etc. etc. So good!

I only recently found this video like within the past 6 months. I was a bit too young with BMW first started airing and caught it when it was rerunning on ABC family and Disney. And did fall in love with it. ( I was like 16-18 at the time and was watching the later seasons. ) But I just went back recently to rewatch he series. I feel like they did Mr. Turner dirty. They wrote him out like that. I know the custody thing was a stretch... but it felt so... off putting... Watching Chet just come back and Shawn moving back in with him.... I get that's his real father... but Turner did so much for Shawn... And he loved him. And then the accident... And he just never came back... he was mentioned as a passing gag with Minkus about being on the 'other side of the school' the side we never see... but that was it...
Shawn went through hell and honestly out of all of the characters I loved his the most. Not because he was the bad boy, but he was complex, and there were so many more layers to him compared to Cory... I know that was probably the point. But any way... Mr. Turner I felt was done dirty. And I'm not sure if that whole story line was done because of a contract or dispute ... something behind the scenes... But they could have done so much more... and so much better...

Props to Rider Strong he successfully played Shawn Hunter o e of the most emotionally complex, hurt, and tormented characters I've seen portrayed on screen, his evolution from just some rebellious kid to a loving husband and a better father than Maya's biological one could ever hope to be at least to her.

Shawn really did have some good father figures in his life. John, Alan, Feeny... even his own dad, Chet, while he wasn't a great dad, tried and in the end proved he loved him.

Its a fact that Shawn had all that family the entire time. Turner, the Matthew's, Feeney and actually brother and dad because they never gave up on shawn ever. Period. And thats what a family does, they stick by Each other
I've never been much of a crier, but certain scenes with these two characters and certain scenes in Fresh Prince have brought me real close to breaking ever time I've seen them.

I love the Turner and Shawn episodes and how John never had to do anything yet, he's there for Shawn all the time, they get, and love eachother and John is always guiding him and ended up taking him in when his parents didnt care for him...my favorite line between them two is

SHAWN: For how long? 3 weeks, and then you get sick of me?
JOHN: Oh I'm sick of you now, Hunter but I'm still making the offer

I really hope girl meets world shows the wedding between Katy and Shawn and I really want Jon to be a guest at that wedding.
Unfortunately there were very few guests at the wedding. It was just Cory, Topanga, Riley, Auggie, and that little brat Ava. On top of that, Mr. Feeny officiated Shawn and Katy's wedding. No Turner, no Eric, no Jack, no Angela, no Alan and Amy, no nobody but the people I mentioned earlier. Believe me, I too was disappointed.

only my generation of ppl can understand this video. how deep it truly is. How deep and dramatic yet comedically genius this show was. Now that i have little nephews of my own im glad these guys got together to bring the values of family, teachers, education, and friendship back to TV. I love how Shawn adopts Maya in the final episode. GMW really is the best continuation of this show ever made! Truly hope that fan fiction does even better now that we’ve got all we’re going to get from the OG writing and cast.
