Nice recap👍 I would add that for anyone recording just so they can listen back to their practice, I’ve had great results just using my cell phone to record. Maybe not the best microphones but better than nothing and it’s such a great way to review and learn about your playing. I also find that what I record from 4-6 feet away from the gongs sounds different than what I hear standing in front of the gongs as the various frequencies have more room to mix together at distance. Now older phones may not work as well but my iPhone 13 pro I am shocked at how good the sound , and bass, is from such tiny mics! Of course we must listen back with good headphones to reproduce the bass , the little speakers on cell phone will not work. So for anyone not ready for a nicer recording setup at least give it a try, it’s such a great learning tool.
All ways listen your teachings 🙏🏼 Thank you
