Tinashe is refreshing in an industry where there are inorganic and contrived artists. Tightrope, none of my business, and treason are my top 3 TTMN is a classic though.
You have to listen to this at least 3 times to get the full effect. There are so many little things you keep catching that you missed before. A masterpiece
justice for tightrope!!! i love how the song and atmosphere that it has sonically fits with the lyrics. the song feels like ur walking on a tightrope and it makes me love the song even more because its so genius. tinashe IS talent and this album just further solidified that. great reaction!
On my initial listen, my top 3 was "Talk to Me Nice", "Uh-Huh", & "Needs". I really love the soft sound of this EP & as far as I know, Independent Tinashe is 3. For. 3.
I have never been one who NEEDS an ACTUAL artist to have a fuccn 20 million-dollar production to get their shit off; THEREFORE, I will get my 3 “criticisms” out of the way: - I think it would be even better if, in some way, we could KNOW where the beams of light are coming from, but not SEE where they are coming from (I know there are safety pre-cautions, which is why I didn’t say velvet Black blankets-I always capitalize Black baby); - Maybe I’m slow or just in a different frame of mind, but I am not sure why ole boy was in an invisible vacuum, quick- sand trap of sorts (my best guess is, to put it in the words of Janet speaking to Kyoko: “It was incredible while it lasted but I know, that I can just do So Much Betta”; it looks to me like that state- ment broken into three Clauses: a) The mutual feeling and Agreement (contract, soultie) that “This feeling is incredible” b) The conflict of sustainability “while it lasts”, two different views on and/or approaches to the sustainability of the sit- uation-different calculations (breach) c) Am I going to subtract this person already or am I going to keep with the tacit agreement, the chosen duplicity defraud- ing my better judgment, hackin’ like I don’t know the difference when a mf ain’t adding to that next level-my, “So Much Better”. Not really what I saw for Treason (more of a hybrid of Brandy’s “Full Moon” especial ly the parts away from the party crowd + that Marsha Ambrosious “Fuck N Get It Over With” video + the look on her face as the sky opens for FKA Twigs, when she climbs, AND when she falls. The cool thing though is how Tinashe is showing the way you can use a minimalist approach in meeting cinematic needs. - Talk To Me Nice is a sacred but active vibe to me (net external impact) in the way that Gravity is a sacred but more still vibe to me (net internal impact); therefore I must say the amount of movement at first made me uncomfortable. I said the same thing about the choreo for Company-just too many steps packed into each quarter minute, but, the interpretive approach lends to the overall value and so, as is the case with Company, this will likely grow on me. Those observations aside: I BEEN WAITIIIING, FOR A GIIRL LIKE YOOOOU; to remind and help shift the mere consumer to a paradigm of simple, clean, consummate performance artistry. This kind of shift effects a metamorphosis into the higher echelons of Appreciator and Aficionado. Some vibes and references I can just quickly note include (inpo): - TLC - Janet - Michael - Westside Story - Mojo - Cleopatra - Blackout Britney - Beyonce (Diva) - Uranus - Patra - A A L I Y A H It is time to recognize the junk food or comfort food out here for just that; and not for nuthin’ we are multi-dimensional beings (most of us): we need the Ratchet moments, the angsty moments, the “Fucc deez hatin’ bichiz”, and “I ain’t checkin’ for these dusty xiggas” moments. However, it is the immaterial phenomena, that makes a Joni Mitchell tell us, “….you know the grind is so ungrateful” which creates a cave and a wave all the tapped-in Baes shall ride, as we become ever-increasingly wise. Overall, I receive this is as a sleek, sexy, Hood, Goth, night at the museum. It took me awhile to see Tinashe as a firey energy, when I went backward to moments like the video for Ecstasy then worked my way back to Die A Little Bit and then HMU…., I got it. Now the air that is actually loaded with substance aspect comes in to create a quiet combustion. Beyond Slay, it gives: “PUNALLAH!”
Think it comes to personal preference, like for me its cool but not blow ya mind insane ya know what im saying. I really do like talk to me nice though and treason has grown on me but others still meh

yesssssss FAV SONG!!!
such a beautiful album! Gravity is my favorite song.
Never in my life I would've thought I'd be vibing to a dnb song but I've been blasting tightrope in my car since it came out 🫢
Needs is THAT girl especially at night🔥💅
The fact that you and Maya's videos are only 19 minutes oh you ate 🤭
Tinashe is in her ELEMENT with these ethereal, Trap-lite, Garage-infused, lush beats! Her vocals are so dreamy.
On my initial listen, my top 3 was "Talk to Me Nice", "Uh-Huh", & "Needs". I really love the soft sound of this EP & as far as I know, Independent Tinashe is 3. For. 3.
Pleeaaaaasseeee watch her album film "The BB/ANG3L Experience" on her channel! She dropped it today!
machinedrums also did what needed to be done on this album.

Perfect video as always ✨️
She’s so talented. The people that get it, get it.
What if exist a side b of this album, something like BB/demon? Or am I crazy haha
She has hinted multiple times on this project having an “extension” i guess
@@Zssprimeyes it’s supposed to sort of be a 2 part project and she’s releasing more this spring apparently

I love Needs, Uh-Huh, Gravity and None of my business😮💨
I really love Tinashe voice ❤️✨
Finally omg been waiting for this one !!!!!!!
I hated and loved treason. It felt like it was cut off before it could finish. I needed that last buildup and the chorus one more time😭

I love T.
Every time I say “uh huh” I now say it like the song lol
Needs 😍😍😍
14:38 but y does this beat sound like “The Power Puff Girls” theme song though
it's just drum n bass drums. it's a standard drum pattern. they both use the same drum pattern
GURL THIS ALBUM IS A MASTERPIECE!!!! 😭😭😭My girl Tinashe is underrated💀💀

My gave is Uh huh and tightrope

the words of Janet speaking
to Kyoko: “It was incredible
while it lasted but I know,
that
I can just do So Much Betta”;
it looks to me like that state-
ment broken into three
Clauses:
a) The mutual feeling and
Agreement (contract, soultie)
that “This feeling is incredible”
b) The conflict of sustainability
“while it lasts”, two different
views on and/or approaches
to the sustainability of the sit-
uation-different calculations
(breach)
c) Am I going to subtract this
person already or am I going
to keep with the tacit
agreement,
the chosen duplicity defraud-
ing my better judgment,
hackin’ like I don’t know the
difference when a mf ain’t
adding to that next

well no
