It is definitely listenable! To be honest, aside from Barnes' vocals, I really dig that album. Has that old school death metal vibe. And, from what I've heard, Jack Owen wrote all of it by himself.
I haven't listened to the entire album but yeah, quite a shame to have such bad vocals on it. It could sound so much better! I loved what Barnes did in Cannibal Corpse and Six Feet Under but there's a time when you should just stop hahaha
@@gyrobocop882 Barnes was unbeatable on records like Butchered at Birth, The Bleeding, Haunted or Maximum Violence, but after that his voice just wore off. Maybe it was too brutal for its own good? But what he did in his best years is still absolutely extreme and terrifying.
Bad technique, didn't took great care of his vocal cords I think. He lost some years of good brutality by not caring/training enough. We see the difference with George Fisher. That man's voice haven't changed a bit!
@@gyrobocop882 Agree about Chris, disagree about George. Although he was much better than Barnes for many years, nowadays I think his voice lost a lot of energy too. Like he has fewer vocal cords or something. I think it happened around Evisceration Plague/Torture, he just wasn't as brutal then as he was a few years before.
Sure but the age is a major factor haha, I mean his voice aged so much better than Barnes's. He isn't as brutal as he used to be but he's still pretty damn good compared to mister EEEEEEEEEE
You know when people do And Justice For All but with bass guitar? I wanted someone to do this album but mess with Barnes' vocals to make them a little deeper.
Actually I can go deeper as my natural voice is pretty deep haha, but this cover is more like a joke. I see Barnes's face so much on social medias I was like "let's make a vocal cover of that shitty SFU song I heard about" so I learned it while recording it
"Listenable" is clearly subjective. While Chris sounds awful on this new album, the vocal in this cover sounds weak as hell. Almost like a growling whisper.
It was joke, I'm not pretending to be better than him or anything. I can assure you my vocals are nothing near weak irl, i'm just extremely bad at mixing them as I don't know how to do it haha
The only song i liked the vocals on kinda was the amputator. Chris really sounds like a decaying zombie. Except for that stupid "EEE EEE EE EE." at the end I quite enjoyed it
@@gyrobocop882 learn how to project. Learn how to shape your throat. Open up your throat more when doing highs. Use your diaphragm but also your throat. Or just stop doing vocals and there you go.
Always appreciate the tips/help but don't be an ass, man. I'm well aware I'm not that good because I haven't practiced for years. I just do a cover randomly once every 6 months for fun

Damn dude, they should hire you as the singer lol. If so, nightmares of the decomposed Could be so much better . Great job man
Haha thanks dude! Someone should tell them I'm available, this album deserves better vocals
Barnes vocal patterns have always been good. The way he rides the instrumental and let’s it breath. Way better flow than the new CC.
you gotta be smoking
@@crunked6674 They on that crack
Way better than most. More texture too.
Better vocal cover for sure. This song just need lyrics with more thought put into them, but your vocals were sick for this one.
Yes the lyrics are so empty and lame on this one haha
"A testament to the ignorance" 😅😅
Much better than original!
Thanks man!
i liked the nigthmare of the decomposed vocals,is something new, diferent.Yor vocal is exelent
Thanks man!
Yeah it is something different for sure
New sub! You good lol found this channel by accident, glad i did!
Haha thanks dude!
Gotta give it to you man, I'd go see SFU if you were either their front man or if they opened for you🙋🏾♂️
Please do The Rotting as well. Although I don’t know how you could cover up the “Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!” In that track 😂
That's a tough one haha!
Old School Chris Barnes style. Thanks!
Haha thanks! Yeah kinda
No bro.
Ok bro
Damn holy hell way fucking better
Haha thanks dude!
Hi, it turned out great, I hope you won't mind if I record a cover of this song too?
Hi, thanks!
I surely won't mind if you do, it's pretty cool to see multiple interpretations of the same song
@felix vocals why would he it's not his song
@@killerbean5343 Exactly haha

New sfu album isn't good but at least it's enjoyable sometimes. I kinda like Amputator and The Noose
There are some great parts in it for sure! Lots of jokes about them but not everything about that album is trash

Better Than Chris Barnes
Suprise, a band that's better without Chris Barnes!
Fail bro. The original is just that.
Exactly
....but not watchable, sorry
If you say so 🤷
I thought you were joking when you started to do your vocals. This is equally as bad. LMAO.
Well that's basically the point of the video yeah haha
@@gyrobocop882 uhm no because all your other vocal covers sound exact same LMAO
