Update to the planned BR changes (18 May 2021):
Changes cancelled for ZA-35 and TTD
AMX-30 DCA - 8.0 to 8.3
M10 (FR, CN) - 3.7 to 3.3
M8 HMC (CN) - 1.7 to 1.3
R3 T20 FA-HS - 4.0 to 4.3 (yay)
M4A1 (FL10) - 4.7 to 5.0
Achilles - 4.0 to 3.7
Dicker Max - 4.3 to 4.0
15 cm Panzerwerfer 42 - 3.0 to 2.7
BM-8-24 - 2.3 to 2.0
BM-13N - 3.7 to 3.3
Chi-Ha Short Gun - 1.3 to 1.7
BT-7 (F-32) - 3.0 to 3.3

How the chieftain mk.5 is a BR better than the mk.3 with only a small speed difference I will never know. Also love the cinematography.
Tbh the only way to justify the br change is if the update also gives it an APFSDS
they could both very easily go to br8 if the leopard is 7.3

people leave because entire BRs are unplayable and vehicles downright useless, then gaijin sees the queue times increase so they compress the BRs more, making them more unplayable, diving population further down.
It may not change too much, but now marder can bully reserve vehicles

It's a 2a4 that got slapped by some armor, it only helps the turret armor, but hull armor doesn't improve

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the only difference between the mk. 3 and mk. 5 Chieftains is that the mk. 5 has a moderately stronger engine? I don’t know why they’re pumping it up.
There's no good reason to do so. It's just Gaijin fucking up the British 8.3 line-up because they can. I'm refusing to come back to the game until they pull their heads out of their arses. Which they won't, so goodbye War Thunder!

So the falcon is at 8.0, with 2 other spaas at similar battle rating. Now we have to rely on an spaa for 4.0 up to 8.0
And it's a completely pathetic change too... typical pandering to the masses of plebs in their paper Leopards. The Gepard is also 8.0. You know, that other, equally mobile SPAA, with APDS, and RADAR... oh and so is the VEAK-40 and the AMX-30 DCA. All with RADAR and APDS etc.
Why's the Falcon 8.0 again? Oh yeah, it's British and actually a fun vehicle. Can't have that can we!
My thoughts exactly. A 4 point BR range meanwhile the aircraft it faces get faster, more armoured and better armaments to deal with ground targets without needing to come close to engage. Personally, the single 40mm Bofors has a maximum usefulness around 6.0. The fact their isn't anything better until 8.0 is a joke.
@@zakhodgson3455 I love the British tanks and I'm not okay with the Chieftain Mk. 5 raised to 8.7 but you gotta admit... the Falcon is OP. It's fast, fast firing, has good pen, low profile... does make up for the lack of radar.

They could nerf the falcon without uptiering it. My problem is that an spaa is needed at 7.3. Moving it creates more problems than it solved

Maus has no auto laoder, a long reload, poor mobility, and can easily be outflanked by most things at 7.3 anyway
Basically, Maus lacks the stuff IS-7 Has.
Dont forget the T32E1 can still be killed by the leopards HEATFS from front

why would they move the marder down to 2.0, its already a ludicrous tank destroyer at 2.3 and could litteraly be placed at 3.0 and still do ok

Wait until you see the aircraft changes. Imagine fighting MIG-21's in your F84,F86 and F9F, mig21 being more than *twice* faster with more than *5 to 7* times the rate of climb and with missiles.

@@jammygamer8961 A better protected later model windmachine with Mines shells and no reload at meta BR. Very balans. When I used the thing at higher br, it was always land one of those shots and the plane is a toaster oven. The wehraboowind reload annoys me now.
Are they moving everything down to make room for more advanced vehicles at toptier?

Looks like low tier too many people complain about CAS . When I first started playing I was never afraid of a plane up still ain’t too concerned but now I’m confident in getting meaningful kills to help turn the tide of a game.

Some generally okay BR changes, nothing for me to get too excited about, though I do like to see the M8 HMC go down, it's good fun, but yeah, nothing too exciting. Also seeing the Leopard 2 PL go down to 10.3 is a bit concerning as it is easily the most armored of the Leopard 2's and in a downtier it will be even more powerful.

I'm a Chieftain mk 5 main and while I'm sad I can't bully T-54's and Leopard 1's as much anymore I think it is a justified change it is a very very good tank

@@ConspicousFaux yes I get that they are basically the same tank but you would not believe how much the extra horsepower gives to the mobility, it allows you play it much more aggressively due to it's faster top speed and better reverse gear. You can rush to key positions much faster and not get caught out as much because you couldn't traverse your hull fast enough. I think it is justified purely for the mobility alone. I've been in 9.0 games and done consistently well getting 5 - 6 kills before dying.
@@Katster The trouble is your mixing up a good player with a balanced tank vs the average usa / russia / german rush to the top player. The tank is not balanced against the 8.7 from other countries in the same players hands

Obviously the sidam is the best spaa with having the worst mobility, limited AT ability, no radar, and a high repair cost. Don't forget Italy is the most op nation in game because of the r3

Low tier is gonna get the worst of it it seems. Probably too many people getting good at CAS I remember when you barely cared if a plane was up. I don’t get bombed or damaged much during a game but I do get in a plane pretty soon and most the time do good enough to really help the team out. However I have my greedy moments and pancake once in awhile trying to get a kill .

@@Borel-nv5bq Ill admit I'm one of those players that rush the cap for sp and try to get in the air fast map depending, Mind you I wait at the cap if at all possible to share the SP. So I don't get much chance to get bombed But when Im doing good I notice a lot of revenge AA being spawned up if they don't have the SP for or a Fighter line up.

Yeah now the 4.0 Italian line up is significantly weaker though and left without a decent AA besides the discount worse whirblewind. On top of that they moved the sidam up for... Some reason... It'd be nice if they gave the r3 light tank status and abilities, returned the stabilizer to its original performance, and put it at 6.3 while buffing the m42 (long belts instead of small clips like it had IRL) and or adding something in the place of the r3
But that would require actually putting in work to the Italian tree.

That's a bit much don't you think? The stabilizer was nerfed into the ground and is has received other nerfs as well. 6.3 with it's original performance and buffing the m43 by giving it belts instead of clips would actually be a good change over all of the Italian tree

@@chonk4197 if the 30 dca is played by a great player its amazing but this is super hard to play its high as a tower with its radar and is not realy armored 50cal can kill it frontaly so i dont think its a good idea to raise it (considering the radar became purely decorative when you try to hit a plane close to another plane (for exemple trying to shot down an enemy chassing an allied plane))
I got jumped by a Gepard in my bottom text tier M48 and he failed on a galactic scale. It really said a lot that gun offset compensation was not in the NPCcommand handbook. The DCA goes up because of the French repair cost rumors spooking off the window Plecostomus while competent players just play the vehicle to bonk some guys.
There are like 5 good changes here, the rest is absolute compression shit.
