- I purchased a WWWF Championship Replica Belt from a website called fandubelts dot calm and was so awe-struck by its beauty that it made me want to do a full review on it, outlining its history, the designs that inspired the Fandu design, it's pros AND cons. I don't claim to know it all in terms of its history, so comments are welcome; particularly if you know pertinent facts about the Backlund belt that are relevant to the video presented herein.

Your review convinced me to order a Fandu Backlund. I already own a Big Gold Luxe from Fandu and it is OUTSTANDING!! No doubt even the imperfect Backlund will blow me away.

Great review bro, personally, I would have said what looks like discoloration on the Italy sideplate is what the imperfection was.
Fantastic review, so much so I wish I had a few hundred bucks burning a hole in my pocket. I'd buy this in a heartbeat thanks to your incredibly detailed examination and assessment.
The weight of the belt is not surprising I was 9 years old and I got to hold an actual WWWF tag team belt when they had it on the press team in Pittsburgh during a card at the Civic Arena.
That belt was extremely heavy.
7:45 As a Buddhist myself, the only thing I can think of is a Tibetan bowl. This is a metal bowl shaped bell that is rung to start and end meditation.

There is a company in Canada that makes them from a mold from Bruno's belt when he had it redone. Cost $3'200 Real gold plate Real leather and to scale! Great belt!!!

Very thorough review and indeed, the most beautiful title belt in my estimation. A true classic held by the w.w.w.f. legends. A true trophy for true champions.
Beautiful but if only fandu should of stay with the actual main plate shape 8mm to thick 2 or 4 would of been better. Traditional would of been better. The etching is beautiful stands out.
I have the same belt with red strap. Got it on ebay from a fella liquidating his assets to pay bills. 5 years ago for $200. Not bad. NOT for resale, after I'm gone there's nothing I can do 😂
I saw Bob Backlund defend his WWWF Title at a NWA Stadium show called The Last Tangle in Tampa in probably 78 or 79. No Jumbotrons back then

Great review! It looks awesome but I have to ask does the belt seem to have a hint of silver in it ? In the natural light it looked like it might. I think the gold & silver give it good contrast
No INTENDED silver, though as another user pointed out, the ITALY side plate had a bit of discoloration which might've been the imperfection in that imperfect Fandu. lol
