Joyce is the best. It was amazing experiencing her masterclass in person this fall. She's so in tune with each singer and what they need. Thank you for posting this!

I love that Joyce coaches an "on the breath all the time" clear vowel approach. This young lady has a voice.

For me, Lucia Popp breathing this beautiful aria to life is one of the most astonishing moments in the entire recorded operatic repertoire. It is the measure of this song, and all others are found wanting, student or maestro.

You could hear this lady's voice get even more beautiful as Joyce taught her.

Ha, funny, at 10:56 Joyce wanted to say "it's connecting to the second chakra," but she stopped herself and said "to your bottom half."

to me, it looks like instead of teaching the singer to put in a bit more voice (more timbre, rather than being unnecessarily shrilly - i.e. to sing ) she is teaching her to be more nasal
