When Ian was diagnosed it hurt Mickey bc he felt bad bc he couldnt do anything for the man he loves and he tried to drink him away bc he couldnt stand knowing that Ian was hurting. I have been watching so many gallavich edits in quarentine that i am finally able to see what was happening in a deeper perspective.

It's really weird to see that people want Trevor with Ian instead of Mickey, Mickey put so much time and effort into Ian even though Ian pushed him away. Trevor only cared about what was good for himself. Mickey went through some real shit to stay with Ian
I feel like if Trevor would have put his hurt aside and showed up for Ian when his mom died, I would have rooted for him more, but no. Trevor wasn't willing to sacrifice his heart the that Mickey would have.

I have never seen one comment on the MANY EDITS I have watched that people wanted Ian with Trevor. In the end he only "loved" Mickey, all the others were just a bed mates. But Mickey never faulted from his love, Byron was his way in hoping Ian's jealousy would bring him back...and as we know it did.❤️❤️❤️

I feel the reason this song specifically works is because each lyric you can tie to one scene or the other, every instance before Mickey and Ian settling once and for all. It perfectly details that slow burn between them and the disastrous events that shaped their experiences with each other.
Might just be my bias, but a lot of The Nbhd songs you can tie with them, like YGMSH, Afraid, The Beach, and then some. I might be wrongly romantizing them a little bit, but their bond just screams The Nbhd to me.

I get Ian was way more broken when mickey got married.. But how long before he knows Mickey always wanted him too. It be one thing if he wouldn't date anyone but no just the one he loves! P.S. love this!
This way better then the Michael and Alex on Roswell but the best couple was the Shadow Hunters of alec n Magnus
I have seen all 3 shows and honestly Alec and Magnus are the worst out of those 3. They're so overrated, very bland. I stopped liking them when the writers threw then back together in the s2 finale because it felt rushed and the characters deserved better. I didn't expect to like Michael and Alex from Roswell but they are fast becoming one of my favourites.
But what I like about it is that it stayed with them 2 all the way through and just like shameless Mickey never lost site of ian but in Roswell the writers have littely taken that story line in all directions I mean that's just my opinion
@@adanbustinza7932 I get what you're saying but think of it like this. Michael said last season that Alex is right in the middle of all this pain in Michaels life. The crash, his family and childhood. All these things feature the Manes family and not in a good way. Michael said he didn't blame Alex and still loves him. But he just found out all this painful stuff and it can take its toll. Maybe he needs time to heal. Maybe its not their time but one day it will be. Also I hate to say it but drama brings ratings. They haven't even finished s2 yet. The writers are hardly going to put them together so early.

It really irritates me how everyone always blames Ian for hurting Mickey. Remember Mickey isn’t innocent either. Yeah mick when through some heavy shit to be with Ian but mick pushed ian away through out many seasons. Also both Ian and Mickey cheated on each other. But it’s sad that people think Mickey is so innocent and did nothing to Ian. Mick got married and it tore Ian to pieces this is why he left. So both of them in my eyes are both at fault

For me it was what the writers did after Mickey was gone that soiled the Ian character. Everything was so abrupt. They didn't let him grieve. It would have been so easy to show a little pain, a little regret. Both after Mickey went to prison and to Mexico but they wanted us to forget. Which we couldn't.
When they were together they were both very broken people. Fighting at different times and against different demons. Neither were innocent, neither were guilty. They were surviving in a difficult world.
I love this couple and I love their story. Mickey is my favourite character (like for many others). But why they are so addictive is because they are so real. Hurt people hurt people and they both were and they both did.
